Three bad experiences: #1 purchased organic garden soil it was contaminated with clearplastic peices and various electrical wire ends. #2 The 5/8 minus gravel was contaminated with so much soil caused weed problems. It was installed over road membrane by experienced contractor. #3 bark boys driver road rage on slow vehicle in front of him and my wife was in other lane both vehicles were forced off road at north/south freeway merger. Never recieved all call back after reporting the incident to bark boys. Always excused not solutions for there poor quality control. I do not recommend them.

We NEVER recommend Bark Boys. When we first moved to Spokane, we arrived home just prior to the scheduled time for our bark to be delivered. A half hour later, we called wondering why the delay. The woman on the phone rudely told us their truck had come and gone already; meaning it arrived and left before the scheduled time. She said, regardless of the fact that they arrived early with the bark, if they came out again she would charge us for two delivery fees. What?!? We ordered from Moore Landscape Materials instead where we received excellent service and were given an extra yard of bark complementary - definitely more at Moore! Wittkopf also provides great service.

Unfortunately, they are a rip off. I asked for 4 yards in my smaller dump trailer and they don't even get it half full. I don't think a lot of people realize what a yard looks like, but I deal with this measurement every day for work and know they tried to short me. My trailer should have been 3/4 full AT LEAST. I call the guy out, and he says his bucket is accurate "it's 4 yards". I told him it was MAYBE 2.5 yards and when I told him I was going to level it off and get my tape and measure it, he says "fine I'll just charge you for 2.5 yards". If he was sure it was 4, he would have told me to measure it, but he knew darn well he was shorting me. Don't go here!! They will short you if they think they can. If you do go, measure your load. Other places however, usually will go over on the the yard.

I'm am not happy with their service. I was not there when they dumped it. I asked it to be dumped in one place they dumped it about 100 yards from where I asked. When I called and asked them to move it, they sent a loader and only moved about 75% of it. When I called and said that they were loosing money and wouldn't remedy the situation more than they have. I told him that it will take me 4 hours to get the rest where I asked for it to be. He didn't care and said too bad. I will not be using them again.

I was highly disappointed not only on the price but the additional contents found in my 3-way mix. Within the first 4 wheel barrel loads there were about 20 rusty nails, 3 wadded up plastic bags and a cinder block that measures about 6”x12”x8”. I don’t know how they sift the dirt but some, especially the cinder block, should not have made it into a final product you are selling. None of which are good for raised beds as your add indicates!
I was also a little surprised that even though there were 8 trucks waiting on loads, they only had one person in a very small loader helping the growing number of customers causing waits of 45+ minutes. Also found it interesting that the loader operator was like 14 years old!
Will never purchase from here again nor recommend to anyone.

I love this great place. They always took care of our landscape needs, great prices great people. Easy access from the road, easy turn around inside the property, place is always organized and clean. They’re willing to work around your schedule, always buy the amount you can haul out before they close. Don’t pay for more than you can handle to take out in the same business day.

Great prices and excellent service. Tom loaded my trailer with care and perfectly balanced the heavy load. A real professional equipment operator, he knows what he is doing! He earned Bark Boys my business.

I purchased 10 yards of SCREENED top soil for my yard. Once I started putting the top soil down, I started wondering why there were thousands upon thousands of rocks that were 1-2" even 3", 4" and 5" diameter rocks in there. I have spent almost 15 hours raking rocks out and I'm still not done. I messaged/emailed bark boys about my concerns and never got a response. Which dictates they either knew about this OR they just don't care.
I would not recommend them for your soil/top soil needs.

Update: I absolutely messaged you about my concerns and never got a response. I didn't realize it was reliant upon the customer to ensure product quality.

The website says closes at 4pm. I showed up at 2:45pm and they left for the day. I called about 90 mins prior and asked about product and no one said they were closing early for the day. I had drive an extra hour to get a trailer and had help lined up to shovel. 2nd time I've had issues here.

Employees are nice and congenial. Bark chips are reasonable compared to a supplier up in Newport. Only negative thing was the delivery fee which I felt was too much for a 40 mile one way drive.

Great customer service with the best prices. Delivery was on time and driver was very professional
