Gary is my hero for the day! After multiple poor experiences with other companies Gary was professional, knowledgeable, and no hard sale for services. He found me a solution to my issues at a much lower price than others. Kalin Excavating will definitely be my company when the time comes to repair my sewer line. I highly recommend this company.

If I could give Kalin Trenchless more than five stars, I would. Our ancient orange-burg sewer pipe finally waved the white flag, thanks to our massive maple tree. After collecting multiple bids (including one from a company that seemed more interested in turning our yard into Swiss cheese with FIVE unnecessary drill holes), Kaylin Trenchless was the only team that gave us a smart, no-nonsense solution.

Not only were they highly efficient, communicative, and refreshingly affordable, but they actually did the job right the first time. No upselling, no drama—just solid work from a team that clearly knows their stuff. If you need trenchless repair done properly (and without the extra headaches), call these guys. Seriously.

I needed my sewer relined to prevent the inevitable collapse of the orangeburg. Everyone on the Kalin team was great to work with through the whole process. They came in at a better rate than the other quotes received and were clearer about what the work would entail. They did excellent work and were very efficient which is particularly appreciated when it comes to sewer work. I highly recommend Kalin and would use them again in a heartbeat.

I had my sewer line done about a month ago (usually wait a bit before posting a review just in case :) I cannot recommend Kalin's trenchless sewer pipe relining enough. For something that no one wants to pay for they made the process easy. The guys that came out to do the work were super friendly and left the yard in great shape. For anyone that is out Indian Trail or elsewhere and is about to hit that 50 year mark with your Orangeburg pipe, I highly recommend.

Kalin was wonderful to work with and made a difficult situation much easier. We are selling our house and found out during the inspection that we had 70 year old Orangeburg pipes that were failing. We had to get the sewer replaced immediately before closing on our house. I contacted Kalin through email explaining the situation and JB came out the next day for a quote. He was able to save us $900 from the original quote we received from another company and scheduled us within a week. Luke, Dakota, and Frank showed up on time, were very professional, and gracefully handled several unforeseen issues that came up due to the construction and age of the property. The job ended up taking two days (a day longer than planned but by no fault of theirs). The crew kept me updated on the progress and what I could expect, they followed through, and cleaned up thoroughly. They were very friendly and professional and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. Getting a sewer replaced is never something you want to do, but they made it as painless as possible. I couldn't be happier with my experience. Thank you guys!

These guys really know their stuff. Chris and Gary were great in giving different options and prices to replace the old orangeburg sewer line. I opted for the pipe bursting replacement. Frank and his partner arrived on time and unfortunately because the soil was so sandy, larger holes had to be dug and the job took a few days. They backfield and cleaned up very nicely. Highly recommend. Thanks for making a daunting project bearable!!

From the second I called Kalin, I was taken care of extremely well. JB responded very quickly to assess problems with my main water line to the house and provided a very fair repair quote. Then, Dakota and Lawrence arrived to drill the new line in. Fantastic service from these guys. Work was quick, accurately completed and they were extremely professional. They explained the process excellent and kept this homeowner well informed and at ease throughout the process. Their work was completed in a couple of short hours. I will recommend Kalin to everyone and anyone who asks or needs drilling. Great work guys.

They are the best and did an awesome job. They did about 90 feet redoing our sewer line. Qouted us about $6000 less than Bull Dog Rooter. They did the whole job and fixed our landscaping back to the original except for a couple of very small spots that need to grow back over. Highly recommended

I plan to add a 400 SF raised concrete patio to the back of the house. I spoke with the Spokane Building Department engineers (in City Hall) and they recommended either replacing (with cast iron) or re-routing my PVC sewer line because of the shallow depth. They didn’t think the sewer pipe could handle the load from the concrete. Time to call excavators!

I had the pleasure of meeting with Chris Kalin. He is extremely knowledgeable, articulate, and incredibly polished for a man in his 30s. He has had many years of experience in his family’s excavation business and now manages operations.

Chris quickly determined that my existing sewer pipe was likely to tolerate the load, but said that if it did crack or even collapse (the latter is unlikely), he could replace it with a thick-walled HDPE pipe using a trenchless technique. I was concerned about limited future access to my sewer pipe due to hardscape features, but he said they would simply hand-dig down to my sewer line to avoid damage. If it would give me peace of mind, he was more than willing to do the work now. The ballpark estimate was $7-8K. But he emphasized that he didn’t think that ‘preventative’ pipe replacement was necessary.

Chris Kalin chose to prioritize MY best interest over scheduling a $7-8K job. (I was operating with the believe that replacing my sewer pipe was necessary and I would not have been any wiser without the education that he provided.) THIS demonstrates his honesty and integrity.

But this wasn’t the end of our meeting! Our conversation continued for another 45-minutes. He educated me about the drainage system for my abandoned septic tank, the history of sewer lines (in the 1800s they were made of wood and he had a sample!), and the details of the trenchless technique. He showed me a sample of the thick-walled HDPE pipe that he could install in the future, if necessary.

He also has concrete experience, so we discussed the challenges that my raised concrete patio poses and the specifics of how to mitigate these challenges. And, he gave me a couple of recommendations. Of all the folks that I have spoken with regarding my project (including the city engineers), he was, by far, the most knowledgeable AND the most willing to provide me with in-depth education.

Chris lived up to the Kalin promise . . . I received an expert who was deeply passionate about his work and delivered top-tier service even when he had nothing to gain in this moment.

I asked for his business card, but he needed to restock his truck. He promised to drive over the following day and deliver one and he kept his word.

I cannot say enough good things about this man. Honestly, he is the kind of person I would welcome as a friend. He is just that awesome.

If I have ANY future sewer needs, I am not bothering with other companies. I want someone whom I can trust. I am only calling Kalin.

Had some Orangeburg pipe replaced before we moved in and they absolutely DESTROYED our front yard. Going to be a huge project trying to fix and we got zero explanation or care in the process about fixing it. Never using this company for anything again.

Kalin gave me an estimate to put a liner in my sewer line that was very reasonable. The guys came in and were friendly, respectful, and got the job done, in spite of running into a couple unexpected issues with my pipes, and without any added expense to me. Great to work with!

My wife and I hired Kalin Excavating to come out and excavate our patio and sidewalk in order to replace the plumbing from the house out to the public line. We originally had two bellies in our piping and we had to have the crummy orangeberg pipe lined that went underneath the garage so it didn't become a larger issue down the road. Kalin did an excellent job! We had to spread the job out over three days due to heavy rain / weather, but the teams that came out each day were efficent and did a great job. Would recommend them if you're needing plumbing / excavating work done. Competitively priced and friendly.

Great experience with Kalin all the way around. They're responsive, professional, and did the job as stated and on time. The gentleman that gave us our original quote spoke highly of the other two companies bidding the job (which says a lot to me about integrity). The gentleman that did the excavation called me distraught that he was going to be tearing up my landscaping -- which I had come to terms with; the sewer pipe needed repair more than I need a few plants. When I came home after the job was done, I discovered they had dug up and replanted the native shrubs that had been disturbed by the job. You'd never have known we had a giant hole in our front yard six hours earlier. Would definitely hire again!

The best company I have ever used for any small/large electrical jobs their apprentices are hilarious and so kind and handsome. The owners Dan and Luke Stutzke are very nice and welcoming people. Recommend for any job!
