I called and scheduled an appointment with JB.
He came out looked at the job said he would give me a price quote (Bid to do the work) And I never heard from him again!!
I called multiple times and left multiple messages and he refused to return my calls.
I never received a price or description of work to be done or a call back.
Very unprofessional. And if they wouldn’t even give a price to do the work or return my phone calls or explain to me why I question the quality of work that they would do or even complete a job if they got an excepted proposal from a bid I never received.

Very frustrating and unprofessional!!!

We got some misinformation about what we needed to do to fix an issue with our sewer line kalin got out to us earlier than expected and got us in contact with a company who could do what we needed. The crew was great and super knowledgeable , I would definitely recommend these guys!

Could not be more satisfied with the work of Kalin Excavation. Had our orangeburg piping replaced. The whole crew was polite, took every step to make sure I was aware of what was going on, and worked extremely hard to get the job done correctly. JB quoted me thousands less than other companies, and stuck to the original quote even when the job ended up being more complicated than expected. Thank you!

What a great experience. The process of having them come was great. JB started it out. Great experience but when it can to the Job itself Dakota- fantastic and so positive even when it was ended up being even more difficult - he and Luke were above and beyond with customer support and service. Recommend this company- if you are not sure. Have your lines checked for orange burg and if you have it call Kalin and get it changed .

I just had Kalin scope my sewer line. Fast, efficient, polite, and knowledgeable. And I don't have Orangeburg!

My initial call was answered by JB in his truck -- ( so my repair wouldn't be paying for maintaining an office and staff - that's good) and I had a bid later in the day of his prompt, FREE initial inspection. Kalin's bid was LESS THAN HALF of big name competitor's bid. My neighbor's offer to rent a backhoe and do it on the cheap sounded tempting -- but I had peace of mind, confident that Kalin would quickly deal with permits, finding the other utility lines, and be able to make good decisions WHATEVER they found digging up my plugged sewer that was installed in 1906.

The bid included possibilities of finding trouble at the stub - end of the sewer pipe, so no surprises were in store for me. As it happened, at an unexpected "Y" in the middle of the yard - Kalin had the capability to run a camera to the end of the line - AND hydro-jet out this section of the pipe.
Only half the trenching (the only appropriate technology for my situation - that they had the capacity and experience to know) needed to be done as in the bid. Would they pass along this good fortune? Or perhaps the additional unforeseen hydro-jetting would absorb it?

The plumbing was restored to full functionality the first (short )day. An hour into the next working day after the snowstorm on the weekend - the yard was restored to my satisfaction - including replacing in the ground an unfortunate flowering shrub that had been carefully set aside -- and an ornamental giant rock. The 100 year old grape was fortunately completely spared! And my final bill? I SAVED $1000 on the original bid!
I would totally recommend Kalin Excavating to anyone with a plugged sewer -- competence- integrity- capability - and a real human touch!

Kalin Excavating was recommended to me by the folks over at Action Drain to replace the sewer pipe at my house. Due to house construction this required jack-hammering the basement floor, excavating down to the pipe in the yard and pulling the new pipe from outside to the basement. I could not be happier with the work. It went smoothly, certainly more efficiently than I had imagined, by 5 pm the new pipe was in, connected, basement floor patched, hole filled in outside and new sod down. Dakota, Colton, and a third gent whose name escapes me were a pleasure to work with, hopefully I will never need this service again but I'd not hesitate to contact Kalin for needs of this sort. Very happy!!

Extremely satisfied. Kalin replaced our orangeburg sewer pipe in one day. Per the inspectors recommendation (not requirement) they installed an additional clean-out near the street, at no additional charge. Repaired the concrete and reseeded the lawn where they had to dig. I give them my highest recommendation.

Kalin excavating was amazing! My basement flooded about 5 times within a year and was urgent to get my sewer line replaced ASAP. Kalin excavating came out the next day to give me a quote which was very fair and less than other companies had quoted me. They said they would be at my house at 8A.M to get started. They were right on time! Not a minute before or after. I was very pleased with their services and will recommend them to anyone I know needing their sewer lines replaced. A+++

We contacted Kalin Excavating on a recommendation from another sewer company that didnt do pipe lining. The were able to work us in quickly and the repair was successful. I would definitely use them again and can easily recommend them for pipe lining work.

We recently purchased a home and discovered the 100+ ft. sewage line was damaged beyond repair. Although the repair was not cheap, I feel like the company really understood our situation and cut us a massive break. They identified the issue in a timely manner and had their crews out to make the repairs. All of the workers were friendly and did a great job. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

I wish I could give more stars!! Had a plumber to my house who told me our problem would cost us up to $18k...but when JB from Kalin came and looked at it, he told us that we don't need to go to the extreme unless we have to (and told us respectfully how the other bid was WAY too much). Only $1,500 later and a couple repairs to our sewer line, the whole job was done! They were professional, on time, highly skilled, fast working, and VERY reasonably priced...without over reacting to the situation or going to extremes. After hiring Kalin, I talked to my insurance claims adjuster, and he told me that Kalin is the best he has worked with. Get all the bids you want...just get a bid from Kalin LAST...and I bet you will pick them too!!

Kalin trenchless came out and replaced our sewer line. They answered any questions we had and were very friendly professional and got the job done quickly and efficiently.

I had the orangeburg sewer line and reached out for bids. I was hoping to get the 'sleeve' that I had heard about as opposed to replacing the whole sewer. The first company I called pushed an alternative they called bursting which was a minimum of $8500 - they didn't suggest replacing it.
When I called Kalin, JB said that was the more expensive route. They could do that but they could also just replace the entire line for $3500.

Dakota and Frank did the work and I was very pleased. The prior owner had placed thick black plastic down as a weed barrier and I was preparing to pull it up during landscaping when I had to replace the sewer. As Dakota saw pieces of it, he would pull them out for me. I also had a lot of really large rocks (south hill) and Frank was great setting them aside for me so that landscaping and putting in a sprinkler system was much easier.

I would highly recommend you use Kalin. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends!

We bought our house back in October and the sellers chose Kalin to replace the sewer. They did a great job. We’ve had other issues since moving in (with our plumbing downstairs and our drain) JB has been nothing but helpful for these first time home buyers. He has continued to help us figure out our inherited issues with this house. We are quite thankful for them!!

JB was prompt and gave us an estimate for replacing our sewer line that was a lot less than two other companies had quoted. Then within days they came out and replaced the line within one day. Kalin Excavating did a great job replacing the sewer lines my neighbor and I share. Jesse, Josh, Norm, and Glenn worked our job. They were friendly and professional. As with many jobs of this type there were some unexpected issues. They did a great job of dealing with them and me...lol
