Absolutely fantastic experience with Berry Lake Home Services! I had a leak in the bathroom ceiling during a storm a few days ago, and after crawling in my attic I discovered a persistent leak coming from an attic vent that had soaked all the way through my insulation all the way down to the drywall of my bathroom ceiling.

To add to the complication, the affected area of my roof that needed to be fixed was surrounded by solar panels, so that ruled out any DIY attempts to fix it myself.

I called Mike & the team, and very quickly I was able to get an estimate over the phone after sending some pictures. They were willing to come over the very next morning to get eyeballs on the problem area, and when it looked like the job required a bit more work, they opted to keep to the original estimate amount instead of passing the costs to us.

And the complications of having to work with solar? The lead roofer I worked with (Brandon) also had years of solar experience under his belt alongside his years as a roofer!

I hired Berry Lake to finish insulating my exterior walls, replace my siding with Hardie board, and install new gutters with downspouts. I have mixed thoughts about my experience. They were more creative and more motivated about the project than any other company I had come and bid. They also came in the cheapest by suggesting using pre-painted siding when everyone else wanted to paint. When they noticed my side door frame was rotted they offered free labor to install a new pre hung door if I provided the material. When the gutters didn't collect all the rain water off the roof they installed rain diverters free of charge. They worked with us every step of the way and only stopped when everyone was satisfied. Mike and everyone I dealt with was professional and kind. But there was some less than ideal facets to the work. They subcontracted out the siding work to another company, this was not discussed ahead of time. This led to extra confusion and the subcontractors seemed less motivated. If my wife and I hadn't pushed for some issues to be corrected they wouldn't have been. Removing the siding damaged several windows and some drywall, which was fixed to my satisfaction but added to the scope of work. And generally there was a lot of little issues that had to be readdressed and reworked so we had to be constantly checking the progress of work and meeting with Berry Lake and the subcontractors to make sure it was corrected. What had been pitched as 3 weeks of work took 7. Overall I got the feeling they're better equipped to handle smaller scale work. For all I know this was just a bit of growing pains and going forward they will deliver a more seamless experience but that was not my experience. But I'm happy with the work done and have no lingering complaints. Like I said they're solid people.

I originally contacted George to take a look at an issue with my siding, and he was right on time, communicated clearly, and was extremely professional and efficient! After checking he noticed that exterior rail had popped out and was just loose maybe caused by wind. Then he reinstalled it on the spot for free! In this over inflated economy, it’s really rare to find someone who doesn’t want to rip people off!

After that he also kind enough to inspect my entire roof, pointed out exactly which areas may need attention. His pricing and recommendations were also very fair and reasonable!

If I ever need roofing or renovation work in the future, I’ll definitely be calling him again!

This company has been such a pleasure to work with from start to finish! We ended up needing a brand new roof, all new plywood, vents, etc. They were the only roofer to come out when they said they would, communicated clearly and quickly, and had a super great price for the job. We were given options for what type of roof we wanted, and everyone there made us feel incredibly valued for being a customer. The bids were easy to read, payment was a snap, and throughout it all, I felt like we were really being taken care of. The actual install crew were amazing - knowledgeable and professional - I've never seen a crew of installers work that hard! We got pictures all along the way to keep us informed of what was going on (we had some concern about moisture damage). Super tidy and everyone did multiple walk arounds after to make sure everything was cleaned up. Cannot say enough good things. This is a great company to work with. We will use them again!

When we sprang a ceiling leak during Christmas week, I figured we wouldn't get anyone in until after the holiday. But Mike at Berry Lake got someone to us that same day, just a couple hours later. And it was tarped over the next day. Once it was tarped, we waited until it was convenient to them (our choice to do so). The work was done today, and it only took an hour. The repair cost came to $812.25 ($750 + tax), but that all becomes a credit for when we have Berry Lake reshingle the roof come March or April (after the tax refund arrives).

Mike and his entire crew are friendly, personable, capable, and competent. I have no reluctance to recommend them to anyone and everyone. An outstanding value at reasonable prices.

I am so pleased with the leveling of my parking area! The company I hired to install a carport also remarked on the leveling work being superb. In addition, they were able to stump grind and bring in new gravel, a bonus not having to go through multiple companies. Highly recommend!

Straight up Tractor Services did an excellent job of leveling our property with gravel. We have many other renovation projects at our Cabin, and Straight Up Tractor is first on our list!!!

We had a little tractor break down mid project with months to wait for parts and a huge mess. so i researched locals on facebook, google, local quarries looking for help. Doug not only was the only one to respond, but showed up to estimate, and was up front with a very reasonable minimum fee, and fit me in between other jobs nearby. I was even vague about certain elements of the work to be done, and he did everything and more. Before you try DIY, try this team first!
