Emerald state electric was great. They came to my house here in Tacoma and fixed everything within 6 hours. So glad they had the time after they finished troubleshooting.

I had a 50 amp breaker trip in my house and it wouldn’t reset. I didn’t want to mess with this so I contacted Emerald after closing time. Frankly I didn’t expect a fast response and at best I figured I’d get an appointment a week out. I got a reply that night and they could squeeze me in the next day between their other appointments! Dennis texted me the next day with a time window when he could show up and was very prompt. He quickly did the troubleshooting and found my problem. He needed to come back later in the day with some parts to finish the job. He was completed the job and left the site clean. I really appreciated the fast turn on the job.

This company has been great to work with. We used them for an in-depth electrical inspection prior to purchasing a property and then had them back out to do a panel upgrade after purchase. The did great work, clean, organized. Good fallow up for inspection. They have also been quite helpful with electrical questions after the sale.

Will defiantly hire them again.

I first hired Emerald State Electric 4 years ago, Dennis replaced my panel and updated the electrical and wiring. Prices were reasonable, as well as being friendly, polite and professional. Recently I ran into a few unrelated issues and he was quick to come out and help. Will definitely use him in the future. Highly recommend

Dennis provided great installation of all our smoke and gas detectors for our home. He also upgraded a needed gas detector up in our furnace bonus room which should have been originally installed when house was build. He also provide the correct light bulbs in our dining room which brightened up our area significantly! Dennis, Emerald State Electric, was fair with their cost and I recommended him for all your electrical needs!

Dennis and Mitchell are fantastic! I was referred to them by another electrician who was too busy to take on some of my project questions, and Dennis was quick to respond and schedule a time.

I had issues with flickering lights in my home, along with other concerns, and Dennis quickly diagnosed and addressed them. Since I had just purchased an older home, I decided to have Dennis replace all the breakers with arc fault and ground fault breakers. During the process, he discovered some DIY electrical work from the previous owner that was unsafe in several areas. He took the time to show me what was going on, explain the issues at hand, and walk me through my options.

At no point did I feel like Dennis was trying to upsell me on unnecessary services or push expensive repairs. He was honest, listened to my concerns, and prioritized what truly needed to be fixed. What was initially a one-day job turned into two days, and Dennis went above and beyond to ensure everything was done safely and correctly.

Emerald State did an excellent job with the upgrades to our new home! They Installed a ceiling fan in the loft, replaced original switches with smart dimmers that we can now control on the Home Phone app!

Also had an additional outlet added in closet for the cordless vacuum and an additional outlet box on the exterior for the irrigation system.

Very professional and did everything up to Code. Added the latter 2 jobs above by accessing thru crawl space using a general circuit instead of a dedicated Kitchen circuit that would have been easier and less work.

We also appreciated the care with using “booties” that came on and off every single time they had to step in and out of our home.

I would very highly recommend them and will definitely use them for the future!!!!

Friendly, professional and prompt service. Had new outlets with USB & USBC plug-ins installed in my master bedroom. The technician was courteous and even wore shoe protection before entering my home. Would absolutely recommend.

Dennis and Mitchell just rewired our old 1920s home. We got several bids before going with Emerald. They were efficient, courteous, and competitively priced. We were told by other companies that we would have to move out of the home for a week and that there was no way to avoid quite a bit of damage to the old lathe and plaster walls (expensive to repair). Dennis was able to find ways of fishing wires with very minimal damage. They were able to work around our busy family without making us find a hotel. Its clear that Dennis has a lot of experience working with old houses and is very knowledgeable about how they were designed.

I would definitely recommend Emerald State to anyone who needs to replace their old knob and tube wiring.

From start to finish our electrician work was taken care of professionally and quickly. Dennis said it would take him 3 days and was able to stick to that while also helping us with a couple extra wiring issues! We can't thank him and Mitchell enough for taking a weight off our shoulders and while I hope I dont need their help soon I will definitely be calling when I do need it.

I can’t say enough good things about Emerald State! We had to have a new service established and most of the house rewired. Dennis gave us a fair bid that included all possible contingencies so we knew how to finance this project. He and his apprentice were extremely professional at all times. They respected our home and found ways to eliminate or minimize wall and ceiling damage due to our house having plaster walls. They also never left us without power ANYWHERE in the house over night or on weekends. Everything was explained to us so we knew what was going to happen at every stage. We could not be happier and I HIGHLY recommend Emerald State!
