Called for a quote for one outlet. The lady who answered did not know how the base pay was, all she knew was it was expensive for one hour. I also asked how much do they charge after one hour? She did not comprehend the question and began to state half of 150.00 for every half hour she believes. If they don't even know how much they charge you why go with them? I smell shady business, I will be taking my business and my hard earn money somewhere else, good luck!

Brad and his staff did an excellent job fixing an electrical problem at our duplex. This is the third time using their services. Always found them to be knowledgeable, responsive and reasonable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Trent arrived on time for the work request - we walked around the property to the requested work, he asked questions and got right to work.
He was an absolute pleasure to work with - he cleaned up after himself, asked questions along the way, and completed the work in a very fair and reasonable amount of time, which for me,
that was everything. Trent was a joy to work with and I am grateful for his very hard work in getting all the electrical work done.

Before he left the house, I did tell him what a great job he did and i meant it. The changes made such a HUGE difference to my small 1100 square feet home. (i had a good sized residential scope of work)

I previously had a bad experience with this business, but the owner went out of his way to send me a personal message apologizing for the way I was treated. To me, that just shows how this business is run by upstanding people who care about those they interact with. Even though I didn't get any electrical work done, I'd definitely give them a shot just based off of the integrity of the owner.

Every experience has been a positive one with Emerald Stat Electric. I know I can always count on them to get the job done right the first time. I trust their work and integrity they have on the job. I will always recommend and use them in the future.

I called with a circuit breaker issue and to schedule an appointment for repair. Before scheduling, I was asked to reset every breaker to make sure one did not trip. That was the solution to my problem. They saved me a service call expense by being helpful and honest. I will use them for any future service.

I hired Emerald State Electric for a variety of small jobs, including new electrical outlets, a bathroom fan, ceiling fan installation, and light switch. They arrived on time, and completed the work quickly with a pleasant attitude. Basically all the things I look for when I have a company send someone to my home. Their rates are reasonable too. I was pleased enough to hire them to come back and do some additional items within a week of the first job. That's the highest praise I can give.

Dennis always answers his phone or if unavailable returns the call-this is a great business plus! He does a terrific job installing new electrical and repairs. He has been taking care of my electrical problems for several years.

So, I have a 1910 craftsman home in the Proctor area. I was getting bids to address the old wiring in the home and Dennis, the owner, came over and after inspecting, was very straight forward about all the options.
I chose the most expensive one and had him replace all the old wiring (which turned out to be 50% of the house). We expected as many as 60 holes that would need to be patched if the worst case scenario happened...….(I had a good wall guy in the wings.....:)).
The day to do the job arrived and I met Brady, the electrician. Brady was personable, extremely hard working and persistent/insistent on putting as few holes in the walls as possible. Very hard working and knowledgeable guy.
As the job was closing, Brady found a piece of old wiring that turned out to be wiring 3 lights upstairs. Brady, in spite of a vacation planned the next day, worked to replace the wiring to said lights...…. It cost me more but I wanted all new wiring. Brady did all this extra work without putting a single hole in the wall or ceiling. In fact, only 10 holes were made throughout the whole process!
Emerald State Electric is a good solid value for your dollar. I was very pleased with the work ethic of Brady and straight shooting approach of Dennis.

Dennis and Adam did a great job adding an outlet in our fireplace for our new insert. After having a couple of electricians tell me they would show up at a certain hour to give an estimate and then wouldn't, it was a relief to find Dennis. Communication was excellent and it was nice to be walked through the various ways things could be installed with their pros and cons and what might be cheaper, more expensive, or more cost effective in the long run with added home renovations.
We will definitely be hiring Dennis again for future electrical work.

First off, Dennis is is a great guy and completed the requested job on time, as promised. I was originally quoted up to $500 for this job (Change exterior GFI outlet and 2 exterior wall sconces, $22.50 for GFI part) DEPENDING on the complexity. Usually for a job like this, the bill usually ends up less, as I feel most contractors like to overestimate cost initially. I had the new sconces ready as Dennis requested, and though I didn't keep exact time of the job, it was less than 1 hour, with some, but minimal troubleshooting; (This was not a complex job by any means). Dennis did take a credit card number from me initially, which I thought was a security deposit that would be credited towards the cost of the job. Upon completion, I was billed $299, and I was thinking, alright, that wasn't too bad! However when I checked my statement, there was an additional charge of $274 on my credit card. When I asked Dennis about it, he explained that the $274 was his "Service charge." I'm thinking a service charge of $250 for a scheduled job 2 days in advance 8-9am is a little ridiculous. I could see if this was an emergency (middle of the night on Sunday, sure, but not for a routine scheduled job). Dennis worked with me very well on this and after I requested, he promptly refunded the $274 service charge. Bear in mind, he will bill you that $250 just for showing up, and it is on top the cost of the job. For the sake of your business Dennis, I'd highly suggest a reduction in this charge for routine service calls. I certainly wish I got paid $250 each time I showed up to do my job! If that service charge was say, $50 I wouldn't hesitate to use Emerald State again in the future, because Dennis was communicative, easy to work with and very competent.

I called Dennis because smoke started to emanate from my bathroom outlet one day when I tried to use it, which was very scary. Dennis was able to fit me in that same day after already having a full day of work. He took the time to explain the issues involved (why the breaker wasn't triggered, for example) and the various options for repair, and then he did an excellent job of repairing the issue, which involved more than just the simple replacement of an outlet. He was also just super nice and respectful in general (as was his son, who was with him that day to assist). I should note that my neighbor recommended him to me and she had a similar positive experience with him.

He was so fast, and respectful. Found the problems and got it fixed right away.

Wow...I read the reviews and thought I was contacting a company that responded. I sent two requests for a quote over a week ago and have heard NOTHING!! Not sure how the folks that gave them glowing reviews ever got them out to perform said work. Moving on to finding another company.
