Constraction reviews in Seattle, Washington

Metis does very quality work. They did a very complicated TI for me and a rebuild of a destroyed restaurant for me. Their knowledge of Seattle construction permitting/approvals and how to navigate it is excellent. Their quality and attention to detail are amazing. Tom Hall, Ford Sorita etc are wonderful people and craftsmen! Would use again A++++++++

I contacted Metis to put together a proposal and bid for a commercial tenant improvement project. Not only was Metis the fastest to respond, they were also by far the most organized, professional, and helpful. Once I hired them, their primary interest was always in the success of my project, and not just their bottom line and billable hours. The work was extremely high quality, expedient, and detail oriented. I'll never work with another general contractor in the Seattle area again, Metis has my business for life.

We used Metis for our home remodel and deck upgrade over the last year and a half and had a great experience! We did a main floor addition off the back of our house (added a master bedroom and bath) and remodeled our kitchen last year, and just completed the upgraded deck space a few weeks ago. We were newbies to dealing with any sort of construction, so we had a steep learning curve. The Metis team was super patient with all our questions, very transparent with how pricing was established, communicating costs (with receipts!) along the way, and super reliable. We were very involved with the entire Metis team that touched our project, and really enjoyed learning about the building process (truly, it was a ton of fun!). It's a fantastic group of people, and if we ever have another project, we would not hesitate to use them again.

Metis did a tremendous job with our large project, a commercial venture that took nearly two years to complete. They were skillful, reliable, friendly, insightful, and creative in their approach to many challenges we encountered along the way. (We renovated two large buildings for our nonprofit organization.) We highly recommend them!

Potter Construction remodeled my bathroom they were super quick with the remodel and they had great customer service. My favorite part of the remodel is that the sliding glass shower door and the medicine cabinet.

You couldn't find a more experienced, honest and professional bunch than the team down at Potter construction. I am working with them on a remodel of my Seattle home (from overseas nonetheless) and they have been patient, responsive and solution-based from day one.

We had Potter construction do a compete remodel of our basement, including redesigning the strangest bathroom you have ever seen. We have always been happy with their work!
Then a couple of weeks ago we had an issue pop up, we called and Karl agreed to come over and have a look. Karl looked at it couldn’t understand why it did what it did.
He came over a couple of days later and fixed it as good as new.
We have had friends tell us horror stories about other contractors, This company is NOT one them.
We would use them again!

I've had the great pleasure of partnering with Potter Construction over the past 8 years. Their quality of work, craftsmanship and attention to detail is exceptional. They do a wonderful job of walking our clients through the process, while providing clear and thorough information to assist with the decision making. Everyone is professional; and goes above and beyond to bring our designs to life.

As a mid level to high end cabinetry supplier in the PNW, we have enjoyed collaborating alongside Potter Construction on many projects over the years. Their install team has a great attention to detail, keeps a neat & organized job site & provides wonderful craftsmanship to bring our cabinet designs to life. @designloveseattle

We hired Potter Construction for a complete home remodel. The construction took about 13 months to complete and the finished result result was beyond our expectations. Potter construction and their sub contractors were extremely professional and made the project mostly head ache free for us. We highly recommend them.

We hired Potter to do a complete demo and renovation of our 1932 kitchen during the height of Covid. It was a complicated job that the Potter crew handled beautifully! The result is a modern, streamlined space that looks at home in a period home. Every Potter crew member and sub was fantastic! I wouldn't hesitate to work with Potter again on any remodel.

Remodeling is a stressful time and Potter Construction is a professional company that is there with you every step of the way. Easy to work with and are good about setting expectations. Our remodel was handled professionally and any issues we had come up Potter was able to solve quickly. We are very happy with our new kitchen and bathroom.

I’ve been photographing Potter Construction's projects for a decade and love working with them: the entire team is very professional, easy to work with, and their work speaks for itself. Be sure to check out their portfolios online.

Potter Construction recently completed a large remodel project in our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. They were reliable, professional, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.

One of the most important aspects for us was trust, and Potter Construction earned ours completely. They stayed very close to the original timeline which was critical to our family's needs and made the experience even more positive.

Their entire team was fantastic—everyone from the owner and project manager to the workers on-site demonstrated expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for the project. Communication was clear and consistent, and we always felt like our home was in the best hands.

What set them apart was their creativity and problem-solving ability. They approached challenges with innovative, cost-effective solutions that enhanced the overall design and functionality of our remodel.

If you’re planning a remodel and want a trustworthy, creative, and skilled team, I highly recommend Potter Construction. They made what could have been a stressful process smooth and enjoyable.

This last year, after searching for a company to do a construction project on our property behind our home we decided to contract with Potter Construction. We worked with Potter and Lathrop Douglas Architects to develop a concept for a carport and greenhouse. We expressed our ideas about what we wanted to accomplish and through back-and-forth discussions they produced a concept that really appealed to us. As construction progressed and the structures took form we were impressed with the workmanship and thoroughness of our lead carpenter and the supporting workforce. There were a few glitches along the way, but they were resolved in a timely manner and much to our satisfaction. Despite the complexity and wide range of different elements involved we were extremely pleased with the final result. During and after the completion of the project we received more positive compliments and comments than we could count from neighbors and passersby. We love our carport and greenhouse and look forward to many years of enjoyment.

Potter remodeled our two very challenging bathrooms. The work was on time and on budget. Everything was stated up front and communication was great throughout the process.

The quality of work was excellent and all of the subcontractors were truly exceptional. We had lots of challenging issues like a surprise below-grade tub made entirely of glass bricks. Wade and the potter team were not deterred. Nearly every aspect of the project needed some special handling. It was great to have such a skilled team to deal with all the unique issues.

We are completely satisfied with the work and integrity of Potter Construction and strongly recommend them.

Potter had completed a very successful kitchen remodel about ten years ago that couldn't have gone much better. When we decided to finally remodel our small upstairs bathroom, they were the first and only choice. We didn't even have a thought of using another contractor.
Once again, they came through with flying colors. The bathroom is small but required a lot of tile work on both the shower area and floor. The craftsman that did the tile was superb and the job turned out perfectly.

I have an interest in lighting, and they were able to accommodate our needs perfectly. We added floor heat, and put lights in the shower. They installed a lighted vanity cabinet with sconces on each side. The ceiling lights were updated and all the lighting is controlled by modern Lutron dimmers.

All in all, they did a great job and we recommend them without any reservation. Be sure to include them on your list whenever you are looking for a remodeling contractor!

Potter Construction did an amazing job remodeling our entire kitchen and both bathrooms. Their team was organized, thoughtful, and full of great design ideas. They worked real magic in our small, 80-year-old spaces and made everything feel brand new after 21 years here.

The quality is fantastic, communication was easy, and the whole process felt smooth. We couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!

We hired Potter to completely remodel our kitchen. As this was our first renovation project as homeowners, we felt a bit in over our heads. Honestly the hardest decision was who to hire, but once we chose Potter it was smooth sailing. We will definitely be working with them whenever our next home remodel project comes along. A special shout out to Wade, our lead carpenter. He was in our house every day for 2 months and was great to work with - our dog misses him a lot! We have gotten tons of compliments on our kitchen and are so happy with how it turned out. It used to be the biggest eyesore in our home, and now it's our favorite place to be.

It took a year to complete a project that should have taken 4-6 weeks. I paid far more than other contractors would have charged, and now I have a lien against my house from the supply company despite paying Washington Construction Group in full.

Great experience and so pleased with this company! They were quick, responsive, great communication in general. Completed the job in a timely manner and were extremely transparent with how they charged me which I definitely appreciated. We had a very weird issue with a super huge old barn door. I wasn’t sure we would be able to find someone that could help us and they did!! Thank you!!
