We had our solar PV system and batteries installed during March 2024. SolTerra was the best value and did a fantastic and impeccable job. Marvin and his team did a great job with our project. He genuinely cared about doing a clean and precise job and treated our house like it was his own. Communication with SolTerra was clear and the process was smooth. They handled all of the planning with permitting and inspections, including with our utility company. Overall we had a great experience and have high confidence in our system!

We've used Solterra for two solar installs and both experiences have been exceptional. They are reliable, responsive and provide clear guidance and expertise during the project. We had some unusual circumstances with the first install after the panel manufacturer went out of business and the panels began to delaminate. Solterra was supportive and went above and beyond in doing what was possible to maintain the system. When it was time to replace, we chose them again and have again been satisfied with their work. Great company!

Working with Solterra was one of the best experiences we've had so far as homeowners. They were extremely responsive, friendly, and professional. We received an email every day that work occurred to summarize what was done and they kept us very well informed about each step of the process. Our roof was challenging for some solar professionals we got quotes from because we have dormers, but Solterra enthusiastically said they could make it work and followed through. Recently bought a new home and planned to change the roof and perhaps add solar. Attended the Northwest Remodeling Expo in Seattle last year and met Kendall Haynes. Despite just moving in and starting to think about solar, Kendall was very patient and answered all of our questions. We asked that he reach out to us in about 6 months to see where we were at. He did and again, patiently answered all of our new questions. Things came up and more time passed. During a walk around our neighborhood one day we saw a house with a SolTerra yard sign and decided to ask how the owners felt about their decision. Their answers led us to pull the trigger and go with SolTerra. Kendall again answered all of our questions and got the ball rolling. We had two plans, one to add solar to just our house and the other to both our house and detached garage. When we found it would be challenging to add solar to our house, Kendall and his team recommended adding solar to just our house, even though adding solar to our garage would have probably been more profitable for SolTerra. The honesty was appreciated. Our installation had to be postponed a bit because of an unforeseen event on our part and the team was very flexible. The installers were professional and the electrician, Michael Marconi was great. He pointed out potential electrical safety issues with our panel which was appreciated. After nearly a year, we have our system installed and are happy. Overall, a great group of people to work with and would recommend SolTerra for those considering solar.

Although we ultimately chose a different provider, we had a fantastic experience working with SolTerra—especially with Reis, our solar system designer. Reis created thoughtful, well-optimized designs and presented a very competitive proposal. What stood out most was how clearly he explained every component of the system. He took the time to walk us through all the parts, their functions, and even the trade-offs between different manufacturers—helping us understand the long-term cost and reliability implications of each option. His expertise and transparency made us feel very confident throughout the process. We highly recommend speaking with SolTerra if you’re considering solar—they’re professional, honest, and incredibly informative.

I enjoyed Aimee’s presentation. She educated me about solar without overloading me with irrelevant info. Instead of sharing 17 different options she made an educated recommendation and confident quote based on her many years of experience I could tell she was setting realistic expectations. She was conservative with ROI and installation timeline estimates instead of over promising. The installers were very polite and professional. Operations communicated clearly and set expectations. I can’t imagine a more positive experience and now I have Good Energy in my home!

Solterra makes going solar so easy and we couldn't be happier with our decision! The entire team at Solterra is amazing and so responsive! Kendall went out of his way to get me a quote the same day to make sure we had the information needed to make an informed decision. He has answered all of our questions and has been very helpful and quick to respond. We also were very pleasantly surprised that they were able to get our solar system installed in April when they initially said it would likely be installed in June. Paige and the admin team also did an amazing job with getting everything set up with permits and letting us know how things were going. They took care of every little detail. We had some issues on our end with scheduling (you need to be home during the inspection) but they were able to accommodate and made the install process so easy. Additionally, several of the companies we talked to told us that system monitoring was not included but with Solterra it is. They set you up with the Enphase app and even give you an explanation of how to use it. Thank you Solterra for doing such a fantastic job!

Solterra installed a solar power system on our home in April 2025. We selected Soltera because in all of our interactions with the company, we were impressed with the knowledge and expertise of their team. Our installation went very smoothly and the team kept us informed every step of the way. The finished system looks very professional and is already offsetting most of our electrical needs, even in a Seattle spring. We have already recommended Solterra to friends and colleagues, and we are happy to recommend them here on Google as well.

Excellent business and one I strongly recommend to anyone looking to add solar to their homes. Kendall made the process seamless from start to finish with excellent communication, and they made sure I understood exactly what I was getting and how everything worked. Most importantly, this team makes sure you're getting what you want and need, and does not attempt to oversell or overpromise, which seems like a common problem in this industry. They take every precaution to understand what makes sense for your roof, for your house's location, and any obstructions that might adversely affect your performance.

When there was a small supply chain hiccup (not their fault - it was a manufacturer issue), they offered to keep the schedule on time by instead using a superior product for the same price. This is the kind of customer relationship you should look for when you're investing in a 30+ year product. Based on what we've seen so far, we're getting more performance from the system than promised, and everything is super easy to use and looks beautiful. We're really looking forward to this summer to see what solar harvest we can bring in for the year.

Kevin and the crew were so amazing, from beginning to end. From the first phone call and consultation they were very upfront, and gave us realistic expectations and explanations. We had some weird financing stuff going on due to some kitchen damage, and they were willing to work with us to make sure the project got started sooner rather than later.
Paige answered a myriad of questions during the licensing and permitting times, with responses so prompt that issues were resolved often within the hour. It was truly a pleasure to work with her!
Tim B. was punctual and communicated every step of the way during install. Tacoma power tossed us a surprise or two, and even though SolTerra was just as surprised as us, they made a point to continue reaching out to us to make sure we were satisfied.
I think it was Chom who was here for the install itself, but I'll admit I was busy with the kids for a lot of it. They were so kind and considerate, I really am truly satisfied. You can see in the photo's I've included a 'in progress' and 'finished' photo of the 2 roofs we had done-sorry to whoever was up there, didn't mean to take a photo of your rump! I've also included screenshots of the cool apps (that Kevin made sure I was all set up with) for both the production and distribution of power, as well as status monitoring of the panels themselves.
I have every confidence that this is going to give our family the security we need, for years to come. They warrantees SolTerra offers is so much better than any of the other companies I got estimates from, and they are listed as trusted by Tacoma Power. We work from home, and when the power goes out we have to find immediate childcare and commute over an hour away, or take the day off--paid or not. This way, we are no longer having to deal with that uncertainty! 10/10 do recommend.

After a terrible experience with a national solar company based in Florida, we were connected with Aimee and the Solterra team thanks to a referral from our neighbors. And we have to say, the experience with Solterra was like night and day compared to the other company. Aimee herself was amazing to work with. She and the team were thorough, clear, respectful, and responsive. Solar is a little confusing at first, but she really took the time to make sure we understood all the seasonal and energy generation and billing nuances. And most importantly, they were meticulous with our design. With 25 panels going up on a roof with multiple skylights, we were really concerned about how it would look – and so was the Solterra team. Careful planning, conscientious layout, with focused attention on the aesthetics resulted in a layout that we don't even notice, now. It looks like it's always been there and we couldn't be happier. The onsite team was amazing, efficient, respectful, punctual, and got the job done with minimal impacts on our day to day. All in all, we just can't recommend Solterra highly enough. We recently built a garage with a roof designed specifically for solar. After interviewing six companies, we chose Solterra because they are a small, locally-owned business; because their price was competitive; because they had the best warranty; and because everyone we met really really knows what they're doing.

Kendall and Paige are great; more than once Solterra's schedule had to change to accommodate the other contractors on our project and they were a breeze to work with. Every person who showed up to install every aspect (electrical, actual installation, fire compliance, etc.) was highly professional and clearly enjoying their career.

And surprise! After our signed contract (yet well before installation), the panels we had chosen had a price drop, and Solterra passed the savings on to us. Unheard of; thanks Solterra!

Our installation has been online for a week now, and even on a cloudy November day in the Pacific Northwest we love seeing those panels make energy from the light they get. So happy we did this; so glad we chose Solterra!
