Thanks Kemly and Jonathan for their work on my condo. I had some wonky wiring and strange fixtures and he was able to get everything working safely and perform upgrades and explained the process to me. Although I had a small job, the Kemly team worked to get me on the schedule. Thanks!

Really appreciate Kemly's team of Timmy, Eric, Shaun and Connor with upgrading our existing electric panel to solar ready. Adam, the company owner, was personally involved from initial visit to finish. Kemly was price competitive and did an excellent job. We highly recommend them.

Update to this review: 4 months later and these folks continue to amaze me! We'd had a couple very minor miscommunications recently, so I sent an email clarifying our needs and asking if our company could change anything about our process to improve scheduling with Kemly.

Rather than emailing me back, I got a lovely phone call with clarification on their side, and we finished with a much clearer picture of how best to work together moving forward.

It is SO RARE in this day and age to find anybody, whether an individual or a company, that is actually open to an honest and direct conversation about how to improve a relationship rather than passive-aggressive brush-offs.

I love this company, but let me say they have never done any work for me PERSONALLY. My work uses them for almost everything from moving outlets to complete rewires on home remodels, and I always appreciate that Kemly does their best to accommodate our unpredictable schedule.

The work is always great, but what I really love is Kemly's honesty and willingness to communicate. If we have questions or find that we misunderstood each other, everyone from the business owner to the office staff to the field crew is easy to communicate with, honest, and straightforward. They absolutely do their best to be the best, and I think they're fabulous at it.

In this day and age, it means everything to work with a company who holds themselves accountable and will always help you do the research and figure out whatever you need. I always look forward to scheduling Kemly; frankly it's usually the easiest part of my job!

Kemly did extensive electrical work for us recently, requiring three separate visits. Paul, the electrician who did the work, was simply outstanding. He worked non-stop, he was a great communicator, and his work was of the highest quality. The staff at Kemly with whom I spoke were consistently polite and thoughtful. And the cost for all the work they did was very reasonable. Kemly is who I will choose from now on for any electrical work that I need. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Had a good experience with the company overall. Adam Kemly was involved in the project from start to end. He made sure he answered all my questions and provided the information/documents i needed. Lary and Seth were on time on the day of service. The installation was complicated due to distance from the panel to garage. They completed everything in 2.5 hours and made sure they vacuumed the area before they left. The installation was neat. Lucy assisted with service and inspection scheduling.

When I reached out for estimates on a car charger installation, Kemly Electric got back to me within hours, whereas other electricians took days or even weeks (some still haven't responded).

Sal was not only very responsive, but he did a great job of walking me through the various options to install the charger and the associated tradeoffs. On the day of the installation, Sal arrived right on time and did excellent work.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Kemly Electric to anyone who needs a charger installed, and I would certainly work with them again for any future electrical needs.

I was having a problem with my lights in the house. When the refrigerator or furnace, or something that draws a lot of electricity would turn on my lights would dim and or flicker.
I called Kemly Electric for help and they came out this morning.
The Kemly employee (Jonathan ) said that the problem was not in the house or the panel but in the drop line to the house.
Kemly employee advised to call City Light.
City Light was here before I could hang up the phone. They found the drop line to the house was rubbing against another cable lines and had frayed wires inside the drop line.
They noticed my neighbors cable was starting doing the same thing and they fixed his cables also.
I can’t thank the Kemly Electric company enough and for Jonathan knowledge to diagnose this problem.

Kemly Electric recently completed a knob and tube decommission and home rewire (including new outlets, lights, car charger, fixtures, and fans). We are very grateful that we ultimately went with them to perform this work and are really happy with the outcome. Specifically, the work was completed by Tim (estimator) and Paul and Peik (active electricians). The work performed was very clean, detailed, and professional. Cut holes were minimal, dust was nearly non-existent at the end of the day, and communication was easy and clear.

We were prepared to have a home that was a dusty mess and resembled a piece of Swiss cheese at the end of all this but that is really not the case. They were even able to avoid damage to the half-wall wood paneling in our basement. I’m glad this is done, but if we had to do it again we would absolutely go with Kemly.

Solid and professional approach. I was happy with Kemly addition of some circuits to an existing system. Neat, clean workmanship. Good consultation and planning about options.

On time; efficient; friendly, family-owned. Will hire again!

Thanks to Sal, Derek, and Cody for the great work installing 7 infrared heat panels in our daylight basement! The panels are working great and have made a huge/immediate difference in what was a very cold space. We especially appreciate how great the team was with communication throughout the project - they were friendly, professional, and always verifying project details. If you have a project, call them now as they are busy and it took about 6 weeks to secure some time for them to come out!

I hired Kemly to do a rewire on a knob and tube replacement recently. I struggled with wether or not to write this review because I feel two ways about this work that they did. The guys that came out to do my bid were knowledgeable and kind, they were the only company that took the time to thoroughly take a look at what actually needed to be done to my house and gave me a fair estimate. The electricians they sent out for the job were also very knowledgeable and kind, they went above and beyond to get the job done and what they did was quality work. However, after they were done I noticed a lot of sloppiness, my bathroom fan no longer turned on (it worked fine beforehand) which is no biggie, they sent someone out right away to fix it and then sent me a $350 bill for 30 minutes of work after I just shelled out thousands for a rewire. My porch light and a handful of outlets were missed in the rewire and have no power now, completely shredded switch plates were put back in, the door of my stove was broken (which again is no biggie) but they completely denied it to our face which is just not great on top of all the other stuff. When they were done and about to leave, all the power turned off in the house and they said they messed something up and had to stay late to fix it, which is understandable, but when I got the invoice I noticed that I was being charged quite a bit more for overtime because of something they admitted to messing up. They did work with me on that to get the cost down but I did still have to pay a bit more than my estimate in overtime. I wouldn’t hire them again based off of the flaws, but I will say they do a good job otherwise.

We had some outlets we needed moved around, and items in our panel to fix. We are on a floating home on Lake Union, so everything is a little bit more complicated. That said, their bid was exactly what we paid - the work was professional - the talent was smart and caring. Thumbs up!

Helped us get our power back after a tree yanked our mast out of the meter. Did clean work without any issues and got a crew out for us as fast as they could. Price seemed reasonable and process was smooth. Would absolutely hire them again.

Kemly did super work. They carefully assessed the state of our current wiring. They did a great job keeping us informed and running any impactful decisions by us. They took extra care to maintain our old vintage light fixtures, and minimize any holes needed to access wiring. They were professional, timely, and trustworthy. Great team for electric work!

Highly recommend this long standing small family run business. They do quality work, are personable and take time to explain things.

Got three quotes for an EV charger install and Kemly was the best bid. They scheduled the inspection same day as the install so it was a very seamless experience. Great customer service too by Sal Reonal. Overall extremely satisfied. Will keep them top of list for any future needs.

Kemly Electric has saved me several times in both commercial and residential electric jobs. They have identified some serious problems, helped me navigate permitting snafus and addressed issues quickly if they were emergencies, which in my cases were the situations. Highly recommended!
