Greg was extremely professional, responsive and a real pleasure to work with. He and his crew went above and beyond to get new paint up, new trim, new floors, cabinetry hung, framing and a new door. I’m confident there’s no project to big. Greg and his crew delivered the project on time and above expectations. I will definitely be using him and his team again!

Greg gave an honest estimate of the projects on my list. Phil came and installed two stair railings and rebuilt a crumbling porch step. I was pleased by the excellent attention to detail and how great the projects turned out. I would hire Greg for any other projects without hesitation.

GREAT EXPERIENCE - We hired Greg and his team to handle a laundry list of items needing done FAST as we had a tenant moving in right away. He was prompt and detailed with his bid and got to work right away even though he had other larger, pressing projects. Greg and his team did everything from minor repairs to new sheet rock, painting and finish work in our basement. Greg and his crew worked long hours every day and into the evenings while keeping us informed of their progress. They even found and fixed some additional critical items not on our list. They finished the job on time and did a thorough clean up despite the late hour. We highly recommend Greg and will be hiring him again.

I got multiple bids on some work that needed to be done in my condo.
I hired Greg when I needed a job done quick. His crew showed up and did a great job in a timely manner. He worked with my HOA and made sure everyone was happy with the job. It seemed important to him that everyone was satisfied and we were. I would definitely hire them again. -
Our experience working with Greg the Contractor was great! Greg was flexible and really listened to us and what we were needing out of the work to be done on our home. Greg did it all! Tile work, plumbing, drywall install, basic electrical, and more. We would absolutely work with Greg again and recommend him.

I hired Greg and his crew to help with some kitchen demolition work, drywall install, floor patching and painting. Greg did everything asked of him with a great eye for detail. The original plan was for 3 days of work but it ended up taking 6. He didn't charge any extra after the project took a little longer than expected, and he and his crew worked until 8pm on a couple of nights, trying to stay on schedule. Greg is also very personable and provided some great tips at the end on how to take care of the plumbing. I would highly recommend Greg and Seattle Handyman pros for your general contracting needs.

Excellent work. Greg's team was responsive and timely and did a masterful job diagnosing and fixing a problem window area. They addressed the root issue and I am confident that we will never have another problem with this window again. They were also very tidy and did not leave a mess (huge plus for me). Will definitely be calling Greg for the next project.

Greg is a jack of all trades and master of many things! We are really happy with the way our bathroom remodel turned out. Greg priced the job within reason and was always forthright in his pricing. He gave us ideas with design issues, as well as remodeling issues, which was really helpful. He has a keen eye for detail and will work tirelessly till he gets the job done. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with!

A client home needed repairs and updates in nearly every room including plumbing, electrical, insulation and windows plus a new part of the fence. Phil and crew at “Greg The Contractor” were thorough and thoughtful with both the bid and the timely high quality work done. I would hire Greg The Contractor again.

We had an urgent need for a complete replacement of our failing tile in our shower stall. We reached out to Greg the Contractor and he was responsive and able to fit us into his schedule in a fairly timely manner. Greg was great at communicating throughout the project so that we always knew when he would be onsite. And, he kept the work area clean and organized at the end of the day. Greg got the job done on schedule and we are happy with the results!

We had a pretty extensive set of needs, including 2 shower remodels with subway tile, plumbing fixes in the crawlspace, mold in the drywall, leaking roof, and more, and Greg and Phil knocked it all out with amazing quality and speed. Additionally, they were incredibly thorough, accommodating and helpful in explaining the rationale behind each decision. Will absolutely hire them for my next job.

We just wrapped up a renovation and have been so happy with the results. Phil Rice was fantastic to work with — communicative, knowledgeable, trustworthy — and the whole team did a great job. Mike and Sean were the others here the longest and they did great work. Everyone was kind and thoughtful, too. We’d love to have the same crew for future work we do on our house.
The only frustrating part for us was that Greg, the owner, did not want to provide broken down estimates for the many change orders we ended up adding on. That made it difficult to assess what work we could afford to add on. -
Greg chooses to operate his business without a commitment to quality, accountability, or compassion for his customers. When you raise your concerns with him, he will endlessly argue with you in circles, deflect blame, and ultimately threaten you until you give up from the frustration of dealing with him. Its also clear he hires unqualified and unreliable employees who operate similarly to the leadership example he sets for them.
For background, we hired Greg to fix a rotted out door on our rooftop deck and install a hand held shower in our bathroom. He assigned his employee Phil to our projects. We spent almost $10K with them only to have both projects completely fall apart.
- Without requesting our permission, Phil brought his teenage daughter to the site to work as his "helper". It turned out she had been suspended from school. We tried to be compassionate about the situation but in hindsight this was very unprofessional and unsafe. It was clear the project took twice as long given he had a child helping him who he had to supervise.
- Upon completing the installation of the showerhead, he repainted our wall where he had cut in to access the plumbing. The color was completely off and when we pointed out the color was not a good match, he basically told us it was our problem and he wasn't going to fix it.
- Almost immediately the new shower head started making a loud and excessive noise when in use. We called Greg who instead of taking ownership of the issue tried to blame our water pressure and talk us into letting him come out to install some type of device to change our water pressure. We obviously said no, since this had never been a problem before their work. Since he refused to help further, we called Delta ourselves and they confirmed the model he had installed had this known issue and that a component needed to be replaced. We had to deal with Delta ourselves and only then did he send Phil back to install the new piece we ourselves ordered and paid for. At this time Greg also threatened us that he was going to void the warranty on his work, despite it being the product he bought that caused the problem to begin with. Eventually the shower head itself also broke. When I went to try and buy a new one, I discovered it was long discontinued which is likely why there were issues from the beginning.
- Within 1 month of the rooftop door being replaced, a massive leak began in our ceiling right under where the door had been installed. We immediately called Greg who again sent out Phil. Phil cut a hole in our ceiling and began to investigate. Like a broken record, he repeatedly insisted there was no way the door was causing the issue. He told us our roof was the problem and that we needed to get the roof fixed. For some reason we believed him and then spent the next few months with various roofers trying to find and fix the leak. Eventually, we realized the roof was not the problem and hired another contractor to come inspect the door. Within 10 minutes they immediately found the issue and indicated Phil had installed the door improperly. They were able to fix the door and the leak immediately stopped. My husband contacted Greg and explained all of this and again he took zero accountability and told us it wasn't his problem.
To make matters worse, before our nightmare began, our poor neighbor hired Phil to fix their door as well. Phil took a $2,000 deposit from them and then completely ghosted them. While this situation did not involve Greg, it highlights the type of individual he chooses to employ.
In sum, unless you want a never ending list of additional repairs and the headache of dealing with Greg and his fraudulent employees, we recommend avoiding this company. -
When we decided to sell our house in the Laurelhurst neighborhood of Seattle, a lot of repair work and painting needed to done. My realtor found Seattle Handyman Pros and we hired them to do the work. From the very start it was a pleasure to work with Greg as he listened to what we were trying to achieve and made great recommendations on how to achieve our goals. Greg gave us a very detailed bid which covered patching holes, painting, caulking, repairing moldings, doors, and large areas of the floor. The work proceeded very quickly and Greg kept us informed as to the status at regular intervals. While we were trying to choose the color of flooring for an area of the kitchen that needed to be replaced, Greg suggested that we consider installing tile instead. We agreed, and Greg put together a very detailed bid to cover the additional work. The tile floor turned out to be the highlight of the kitchen. I would definitely hire Seattle Handyman Pros again as they are reliable, constantly keep you up to date on progress, and get the work done quickly.

They highlighted the significance of correctly installing dryer vents and provided effective follow-up services.
