Avoid if at all possible. Job done was ok, but they are not timely and not very friendly on telephone. They didn't seem to want my business and they won't get it again. Owner was especially not very friendly. They were very unprofessional, and If you're going to fork over your hard earned money to someone, save yourself the stress and deal with some other business. Would give 0 stars if I could.

The people were contracted for 1 time in a month for yard work. They came 2 or even 3 times which we objected them time and again. We left e mail messages, voice mail messages there were no on to reply to us. Instead they sent us a bill which mentioned "if we do not receive the money we will forward to collections". Very unprofessional to say the least - would not advise for yard work at all

Bill, the owner of Yard Butlers, is abrasive, arrogant, and a terrible business owner. His employees ripped out plants from our yard that were intentionally planted, thinking they were weeds. He refused to believe me, saying his employees know the difference between weeds and flowers. Clearly, they do not. His email exchange with me was extremely unprofessional. Stay away from this business!!

I have used the Yardbutler’s for years and they have done such a great job. They come every two weeks and give me peace of mind.

They have taken care of my yard for several years and I have been happy with their work. They are always dependable.

They've maintained my lawn for about two years. I never tell them what to do, but stuff gets done as needed. Rarely do they charge me more than a standard fee for my yard, but everything gets done right, whether it's summer lawn or winter cleanup. For me, it's just one less thing to worry about and I appreciate that it just gets done!

    A quality organization!

They show up when they say, they get right to work, if they see something that needs to be done (that we did not discuss) they just take care of it. The quality of work is excellent and I could not be happier to have found them.

Have had these guys for well over 20 years.
Highly recommend their work. Dependable and Bill is very trustworthy.

Bill is rude and unprofessional. Landscaping was done well at first but quality fell subsequently. We cancelled their service via email and phone because they would not answer the phone and got confirmation voice mail that it was cancelled. 4 weeks later cleaning crew came and said they did not know it was cancelled. We again emailed bill to make sure not to send their crew anymore but bill emailed us back that our house is a mess and he didn’t understand why we are stopping their service. I told him the reasons why we did not want their service anymore then Bill again sent very nasty email saying they did more then what we paid for (~300$ per month) although he was not there to see what his crew did on subsequent visits. Very very poor customer service. The owner does not know how to talk to customers. Even their crew was complaining that they have hard time contacting their office. I would not recommend their service.

AWESOME SERVICE!! Showed up on time. Yard was a complete disaster. By 3pm. BEAUTIFUL!! Hard workers. Made it look good as new again. Very happy with this company. Will continue to use them in the future.

We hired this company for maintenance of our condo units in Edmonds.
In the beginning they did a fairly good job, but after about 6 months it was a continuous battle to get them to do anything other then spend about 10 minutes blowing off the common areas every 2 or 3 weeks. I would send pictures to Bill of what the grounds looked like and would never receive a response. They were supposed to prune and weed, but the weeds have taken over and nothing ever gets pruned. If I could give zero stars I would. Our place looks like crap.
Luckily we have now fired Yard Butlers and hired a new company.
I agree with everything that Evergreen98155 posted below this.

I got the yard butlers to do general maintenance and a cleanup of the front/side/back yard of our new home in North Seattle. They have been coming out every Saturday. It's only been two visits, but our yard looks so much better already! They removed a dead tree, revitalized our grass, and cleared out much of the junk from the prior owner (our dog couldn't be happier). They are even working with us to plan out where we will put our garden/fire-pit/etc... and working with those ideas. I'm going to go with them in the future when we get around to making the fire-pit and more. I recommend them to anyone!

Professional and very fast workers. They did an excellent job cleaning up a very overgrown backyard. Highly recommend.

Bill and his team were incredibly helpful at my father's house. They do it all from heavy pruning and edging the overgrown yard, to pressure washing the deck, to mowing and blowing leaves. They always show up when they say they will. Great service. Highly recommend.

Got an estimate for some clean up work (blackberry and ivy). He arrived on time and was pleasant enough. His bid was twice the price of my other two bids, plus his proposal was for me to hire his crew for the day and manage the project myself. Um...what's the point of paying a landcaper if I'm directing his crew? I'd just pay a couple neighborhood teenagers in that case for a fraction of the price. Pass.

I used the Yard Butlers about a year ago for general landscaping, they would come every 2 weeks and spend about 15-30 minutes just mowing and sometimes pulling some weeds. I would spend $150 a month for this service. I finally cancelled because I was sick of spending so much money for such a terrible job. I had communicated with Bill multiple times about my disappointment in the service and only got excuses or attitude. We rehired them two months ago because we haven’t had time to find another service and we had been out of town a lot. As much as I didn’t want to hire them back, I needed the yard cleaned up before we had company. They came 3 times since then, and I decided that we only really needed them once a month because the grass doesn’t grow much in the summer anyways and we really just needed weeds pulled and general cleanup. I called Bill requesting this and he convinced me that they needed to come 2 times a month and one week they will just mow and the other week they will pull weeds. I said “are you still going to charge me $75 for that” and he said yes because they will spend the same amount of time. I was totally manipulated and gave in. Two days later was when they were supposed to come, no one showed up. I work from home so I was home the entire day, nothing. I entered it into my calendar just in case he would try charging us. I figured he decided to do once a month. Didn’t bother calling since we didn’t need landscaping done anyways. I decided to hire a guy off Craigslist this last Saturday and he charged $60 and was here for longer than the Yard butlers ever were. This morning the Yard butlers showed up, started mowing the APPARENT freshly mowed grass and I called and told Bill we didn’t need them to do anything since they didn’t show up two weeks ago we hired someone else. First thing he said was “I wish you would have called and told me”, I said “well no one has showed up in a month so I had to hire someone else to take care of it” and he tells me after much argument to go tell his guys they can leave... instead of him calling his employees he wanted me to go out and tell them to stop working. He is so completely and utterly rude and unprofessional and I would NEVER recommend to anyone to use his company. Every time I have called him about an issue he always has an attitude about it. And I sent an email today confirming the cancellation of the service and he responded by saying “They have been coming every other week as per our conversation. I think its best to part ways.”

He apparently doesn’t want the business and never learned customer service skills.

Right from the beginning I communicated to the Bill that communication was important. As someone who works in the customer service industry, I expect the same level of service as I am held to. One of those things is to reply to calls in a reasonable time. I called Bill on Friday for a return call because after a month of yard maintenance I could already tell his people were rushing through their work. It is now Tuesday evening and I have not gotten a return call. I am suppose to pay $65 a visit and for that amount of money I would expect at least a couple hours of work. I can almost guarantee they barely put in an hour. And, details are being missed. This company strikes me as the typical company that is nice and "yes sir, no problem sir" in the beginning but then as time goes on (barely) they become complacent. Then it's off to the next unsuspecting person. Do not waste your time. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the initial job was ok, and I use that lightly. After barely a month I'm already looking for another service provider.

Did the job as agreed to - pruning - yard debris cleanup - very satisfied

These guys do a great job, but I particularly wanted to commend Blaine. He's friendly, takes a lot of pride in his work, and while all of the employees do a good job, he always does a GREAT job. You're lucky to have a worker like him on your team!

For almost 10 years, the Yard Butlers have cared for our landscaping, including weekly maintenance and yearly cleaning. There has been both consistency in the service and the staff, and we continue to be pleased with both. We look forward to the way our yard looks each week!

This has been our service provider for almost 20 years- reliable, fairly priced, and they ALWAYS latch the gate when they leave (securing the yard for the dog). Highly recommend.
