UPDATE: Still 5 stars. Our system is now 3 years old and still functioning perfectly. We received no cost service from A&R once when a couple of components weren't talking with each other. And after reading about the issues that folks have with some other solar contractors (especially those who advertise "no out of pocket expense") who install a system then won't return your calls when something goes wrong, I'm very happy we chose A&R Solar.

I contacted A&R Solar because I was interested in a home battery backup system. They suggested that I add rooftop solar panels. which would qualify the whole system for a federal income tax credit. They installed LG batteries and LG rooftop solar panels, which look great and work well. They were thorough and professional, and completed the job in a week. I am very happy with my system and would highly recommend A&R Solar to anyone who is interested in home solar power.

We had a fantastic experience with A&R, from the initial consult to the final commissioning.

We had them install a full solar and battery system, as well as a full main service panel replacement, and new mast and meter base.

They were very communicative throughout the entire process, handled a couple of change orders without issue, and the install crews were great!

We'll definitely be reaching out to them when it comes time to install an EV charger.

After we wanted to move forward, going from financing to wiring up the electric and installing the panels, the communication was great. I will recommend anyone looking for solar installations to use A&R!

I purchased my solar array from A&R about 6 years ago and had an amazing experience at the time. Since then, the customer support continues to be fantastic! On two occasions an individual panel stopped reporting back to the monitoring software and A&R was super responsive. They set my expectations on timeline, arrived when they said they would, and made the problem going away (once requiring replacing a panel) with no cost to me. They even removed a bird nest from under one of the panels :) Super happy with my choice of provider!

We installed our system (solar panels and batteries) in 2020 and added more panels in 2021. A&R sales, permitting, and installation staff were great to work with and completed their work when they said they would with no hidden up charges. We had a warranty-covered issue in summer 2024 and they were quick to diagnose the problem and install the replacement part.
I highly recommend A&R Solar.

I am in Love with the crew that did the solar installation on my home in Myrtle Point Oregon this week. It was awesome, the panels were up so fast and they are beautiful! They definitely restored my faith in contractors, so professional and super friendly. I would highly recommend A and R Solar to anyone in the Pacific Northwest. A&R Solar just finished a PowerWall 3 installation for me. I needed a service upgrade from 125 AMP to 200, a new power panel, and a Tesla charger in addition to the battery backup. From the very beginning, they were professional and courteous. The installers did a fantastic job of keeping me informed about the process as well as the approach they were going to take. There were a handful of challenges starting with the service upgrade and the power panel installation. The Span panel barely fit in the location the previous panel had been installed. I was very impressed with the level of communication and the quality of the work performed. I would highly suggest giving A&R a shot at your business.

The system is a 12 kw DC, 11.5 kw AC, with one 13.5kw Tesla Powerwall 3. There are (23) Silfab Prime 430w modules. They also did a main electrical panel swap. The workers did a great job and I am able to monitor the power production from the solar panels using an app on my phone.

A&R installed 20 panels on my house 8 years ago, and I haven't had any issues. They were thorough and easy to work with, and I love that they're a “Certified B Corporation” and allow for Employee ownership. It's just a great company. I installed on a metal roof and got one with the wrong/non-standard width, and they were able to make custom attachments for me. I've recommended them multiple times since, and everyone has been super happy with their solar/battery installations. My only regret was not getting more panels as I've gotten an EV and also transitioned off of methane for my house (heating, stove, water heater).

A&R Solar has provides a service that matches the seamless solar panel/battery system they installed 6 years ago. When the power goes out we don’t even know until a neighbor calls to enquirer about an electrical outage.

A&R installed my solar system 4 years ago. This year, I produced more energy than I used, meaning I paid nothing (except standard $7.59/month service fee) for electricity. That included charging my plug in hybrid car. The efficiency has not wavered over the four years, and the quality of their choice in materials seems outstanding. It's a great system and I'd highly recommend anyone who wants to help the environment to invest in solar.

I first worked with A&R Solar a little over 9 years ago when they installed a solar panel system on my roof. The whole process went exceedingly well. They gave me a lot of information by phone initially and then in person when they came out to the house. They took a lot of time to educate me and explain the costs and benefits. The workers were prompt and courteous and showed admirable team spirit--they clearly enjoyed working together and doing their part to help our environment. The estimates they made re: productivity of the system were accurate. Between electricity production and tax incentives, we recouped all of our investment over the first 5 years, as they predicted, so it's been all "gravy" since. I have had a couple relatively minor problems with the system over the years (connector coming loose, inverter being recalled) and they have been very responsive in coming out and setting things right. I have subsequently had them install a Powerwall (storage battery) and that's gone well. I enthusiastically recommend A&R.

From start to finish the A&R Solar team has been top notch! Their professionalism, communication and quality of work has made me a very satisfied , happy and proud customer. My Tesla solar system far exceeds my household energy needs on a sunny day, is helping the environment and looks great on my roof! The cherry on top is all the money I'm saving each month as evidenced by my greatly reduced electricity bill! I highly recommended A&R to anyone thinking about going solar!

My wife and I took several months to do our research and determine if solar was a good investment for us, AND just which company would do the best job. We chose A&R solar-- and the results have been stunning. The plan for our house, it's orientation, and the addition of solar panels to our roof was done with exceptional care and workmanship. They also, at my request, installed a new expanded electrical panel to handle a planned change from gas to electric heat and hot water. AND, they installed a Tesla car charger in my garage. All this was done with expert care and efficiency. We now have heat and hot water, in addition to lights supported by our 28 solar panels. The cost was significant, but I'm amazed at the power generation occurring, and we are very happy with the financial results. A&R is a fine company with excellent, caring employees. I couldn't be happier.

Excellent experience, from start to finish, from a professional team that worked seamlessly with our builder to get these installed on time (with a very rigid schedule). Customer service, communication, and execution were all top notch. Highly recommend!

A and R installed an extensive solar setup and battery backup system into our basically new construction house. While I think they put in an honest effort, and I believe they are a good company, I am disappointed with the final result. Specifically, when the power goes out, there is a period of several seconds where nothing in my house has power, and then many of our electrical panels “trip” the circuit breakers as power flickers on and off during the transition. We suspect this has damaged quite a few of our electrical devices throughout the house, so we have added additional UPS battery backups to many of them, as well as surge protectors everywhere we can to help reduce the risk, but we still have many appliances at risk since there is no easy way that I know of to add surge protection to them.
Over a period of a couple of years, A and R has been good, though a bit slow, in coming back to tweak the system and make things better, but it has never felt completed, and never really met the need for which we put the system in. I am disappointed with the end product and wish that we had chosen a different system that would do a better job maintaining power and providing clean reliable power. I thought that we were essentially buying a “whole house UPS”, but what we got was FAR inferior. Perhaps I notice this more than other customers because I live in an area with frequent blackouts. I am now researching ways to supplement or replace this system with something more reliable that can provide instant clean power, and has the ability to protect all the equipment in my house.

The technician was friendly and they were able to service my panels even though I had them installed by a different company.

I needed just a bracket to be serviced and they didn’t need to replace it So they do small work even if your panes were made by someone else.

We have been very happy with our Tesla batteries! There have been frequent power outages in our neighborhood that we were un-aware of unless we looked across the street and didn't see any lights on. The battery kicks in so quickly we do not need to reset clocks. If/when we eventually replace our gas furnace with a heat pump, we will probably add a third battery so there is enough power to run the heat pump.

We could not be happier that we've "gone solar." We love our new system and our whole installation team was just great. Specifically, Finn was an absolute gem and Andy was really great. Everyone was friendly, kind, tidy, patient (that last one - patience - got a bit of a workout, teaching us old dogs new tricks!). Would not hesitate for a moment to recommend A&R Solar.

All the work was done with skill and well within the schedule promised. Our project manager communicated well with us and answered all our questions quickly. The process, from start to PSE approval, was very easy for us.

I had solar panels and a solar battery installed in April of 2025. So far, with net metering, I'm paying just the connection fee monthly to my electric utility. It's reassuring to know that I am not at the mercy of an outage from whatever cause and that I'll have A&R to back me up for the life of my system.
Installation was painless. The A&R crew were considerate, communicated well, efficient and took pains to see the panel and battery installation were done well and in accordance with local codes.
