I was referred to SolTerra after my parents experience of working with them for their home solar system. My experience was nothing short of excellent for the two projects I’ve had completed. From the various stages of consult, design, construction, and final walk-through, the experience was stellar. The staff are transparent, incredibly knowledgeable, timely in their communication, and truly care about the product their customers receive. I can’t recommend the fabulous crew at SolTerra enough.

Solterra has installed over four different solar systems for our amazing community non-profit program The BLOCK Project. They are great people and working with them has been very smooth, communicated and easy! We look forward to working more with them.

Excellent business and one I strongly recommend to anyone looking to add solar to their homes. Kendall made the process seamless from start to finish with excellent communication, and they made sure I understood exactly what I was getting and how everything worked. Most importantly, this team makes sure you're getting what you want and need, and does not attempt to oversell or overpromise, which seems like a common problem in this industry. They take every precaution to understand what makes sense for your roof, for your house's location, and any obstructions that might adversely affect your performance.

When there was a small supply chain hiccup (not their fault - it was a manufacturer issue), they offered to keep the schedule on time by instead using a superior product for the same price. This is the kind of customer relationship you should look for when you're investing in a 30+ year product. Based on what we've seen so far, we're getting more performance from the system than promised, and everything is super easy to use and looks beautiful. We're really looking forward to this summer to see what solar harvest we can bring in for the year.

We used SolTerra for our solar installed. Kevin and his team were amazing to work with! Very responsive, patient, and explained everything wonderfully. We absolutely love our system!

Highly recommended. First, we are extremely happy with the project design, installation, and finished product. Second, everyone that we worked with was a top notch professional. They communicated exceptionally well, were hard working, and delivered a high quality outcome.

Kevin and the crew were so amazing, from beginning to end. From the first phone call and consultation they were very upfront, and gave us realistic expectations and explanations. We had some weird financing stuff going on due to some kitchen damage, and they were willing to work with us to make sure the project got started sooner rather than later.
Paige answered a myriad of questions during the licensing and permitting times, with responses so prompt that issues were resolved often within the hour. It was truly a pleasure to work with her!
Tim B. was punctual and communicated every step of the way during install. Tacoma power tossed us a surprise or two, and even though SolTerra was just as surprised as us, they made a point to continue reaching out to us to make sure we were satisfied.
I think it was Chom who was here for the install itself, but I'll admit I was busy with the kids for a lot of it. They were so kind and considerate, I really am truly satisfied. You can see in the photo's I've included a 'in progress' and 'finished' photo of the 2 roofs we had done-sorry to whoever was up there, didn't mean to take a photo of your rump! I've also included screenshots of the cool apps (that Kevin made sure I was all set up with) for both the production and distribution of power, as well as status monitoring of the panels themselves.
I have every confidence that this is going to give our family the security we need, for years to come. They warrantees SolTerra offers is so much better than any of the other companies I got estimates from, and they are listed as trusted by Tacoma Power. We work from home, and when the power goes out we have to find immediate childcare and commute over an hour away, or take the day off--paid or not. This way, we are no longer having to deal with that uncertainty! 10/10 do recommend.

After a terrible experience with a national solar company based in Florida, we were connected with Aimee and the Solterra team thanks to a referral from our neighbors. And we have to say, the experience with Solterra was like night and day compared to the other company. Aimee herself was amazing to work with. She and the team were thorough, clear, respectful, and responsive. Solar is a little confusing at first, but she really took the time to make sure we understood all the seasonal and energy generation and billing nuances. And most importantly, they were meticulous with our design. With 25 panels going up on a roof with multiple skylights, we were really concerned about how it would look – and so was the Solterra team. Careful planning, conscientious layout, with focused attention on the aesthetics resulted in a layout that we don't even notice, now. It looks like it's always been there and we couldn't be happier. The onsite team was amazing, efficient, respectful, punctual, and got the job done with minimal impacts on our day to day. All in all, we just can't recommend Solterra highly enough. Thanks Aimee and team!

    We highly recommend Solterra!
We recently built a garage with a roof designed specifically for solar. After interviewing six companies, we chose Solterra because they are a small, locally-owned business; because their price was competitive; because they had the best warranty; and because everyone we met really really knows what they're doing.

Kendall and Paige are great; more than once Solterra's schedule had to change to accommodate the other contractors on our project and they were a breeze to work with. Every person who showed up to install every aspect (electrical, actual installation, fire compliance, etc.) was highly professional and clearly enjoying their career.

And surprise! After our signed contract (yet well before installation), the panels we had chosen had a price drop, and Solterra passed the savings on to us. Unheard of; thanks Solterra!

Our installation has been online for a week now, and even on a cloudy November day in the Pacific Northwest we love seeing those panels make energy from the light they get. So happy we did this; so glad we chose Solterra!

Go with SolTerra for your solar needs! Macie and her team were absolutely incredible: kind, communicative, and extremely reliable. Their workmanship is high quality and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to get solar installed.

Solterra has been fantastic - from initial consultation, to site visit, to scheduling, to installation, to follow up. Super professional, great communication, and really easy to work with. I would recommend them without reservation - and I have.

The SolTerra panels have been providing power to me and to the grid for about two weeks now! I like how clean the system looks on the roof and the side of the house. Kevin from SolTerra was very professional and explained everything to my satisfaction, and he was also able to answer all my questions. I would recommend them to anyone interested in providing solar power to their residence.

SolTerra did a fantastic job with our solar installation. The entire process was a great experience - professional, clear and timely communications, great customer service. They provided lots of information and options regarding what they could offer us, and I'm very pleased we went with them. In addition they were super helpful with financing with a partnership with PSCCU. The panels were install ahead of schedule and have been working flawlessly. We are extremely happy with the results!

We had a fantastic and seamless experience with Solterra.

Our install was seamless and ahead of schedule. Everyone at the company was very nice and informative, taking time to educate us on the system itself and the integration with our local utility.

Aimee is probably wondering where this review is. Especially since I wrote this 9 months ago. The bottom line is I was waiting for the one year anniversary of our system so I could properly analyze the performance of the system.

At one year we produced 14.2(-ish)MWh, from a system that was designed for 12.4(-ish)MWh performance after 25 years. The “overproduction” is also in part due to moving some panels from west to south facing. Running the numbers, it is exactly what should have been produced.

The actual consumption was a good bit lower than the design for a couple of reasons. First, we replaced our roof as “part” of the solar installation. This actually reduced our heating and cooling needs, since our attic finally had ventilation. We also added an EV to our home, estimated at 3MWh, but we don’t really drive as much as “normal” people. Lastly, Solterra added a Span smart electric panel at our request, and I enjoyed turning off circuits remotely while we were away from home.

The bottom line here is that we still have 4.4MWh of excess production. Even knocking 15% off the total at 25 years (higher than the 8% the REC panels specify), we will have over 2MWh to “burn.” Looks like we are going to consider replacing the gas stove and tankless hot water heater with electric!

Finally, I can’t say enough good things about the installation team. Super professional, and worked well with my roofer to route the wiring around the end of the roof and avoid penetrating the roof. We have even had them return to install the EV charging plug.

Working with Solterra has been amazing and seamless. We had multiple companies give us bids and Solterra won hands down. They were knowledgeable and were able to answer all our questions. From start to finish of the project, they walked us through each step, layout a timeline that they met. We are so happy with the product and even more so with the service. Thank you Solterra!

I highly recommend Solterra Solar for solar panel installation in Seattle! After receiving four bids, Solterra stood out from the start. Macie came to discuss the plan, walked my roof, and asked if I had any concerns. Later, the project manager and electrician inspected my electrical panels and roof to ensure everything was safe for installation.
The installers were efficient and friendly, and the electrician, Mike, was incredibly helpful—he explained the process clearly and guided me through the Enphase app setup. Once everything was complete, Macie returned to review the work, provided a disc drive with all documentation, and made sure I was satisfied.
Solterra truly focuses on customer care, safety, and a smooth installation process. Everyone I worked with was amazing! If you’re looking for solar panels in Seattle, I highly recommend Solterra.

My project was completed last month. The entire process from start to finish was fantastic. During the research phase, I was assigned a team that showed me the sun cycle of my property, reviewed my PSE bills, and designed a system that would best supply my power usage. During the install phase, the team who installed it were very professional. They kept me informed several times each day and explained every step of the install process. They started and finished on time. Upon completion, I was given a very detailed explanation of how the system works, maintenance concerns, warranty, monitoring system, and safety concerns should a PSE power outage occur. Great customer service all around. Glad we did this installation.

A&R aren't always responsive to requests for proposals. This probably reflects the rapid growth of solar and their business. However, A&R is generally highly professional--and they back their products. When leaks appeared in upstairs rooms of our house, I asked both the roofers and A&R to investigate. The roofers response was weak. OTOH, A&R sent two technicians. They actually climbed on the roof to inspect the panels, the attachment points and flashings installed to deflect rainwater. They took photos. They shared the photos with me immediately and described what they saw. A&R Solar took time to ensure I was comfortable that the source of the leak was not their work. This is a good company.

We absolutely loved working with A&R - from start to finish. Everyone there is so down-to-earth and you can tell they love what they do. They did a phenomenal job with the install and I can't tell you how excited we are to have a full set of panels on our roof generating super clean energy every day. We're excited to hopefully get others on board the PV train and we've been wholeheartedly recommending A&R when people ask us about our system. In short, A+ experience all around!

Recently had a photovoltaic solar system along with battery storage/back-up installed by A&R solar. The experience from start to finish was seamless. They spent a lot of time assessing our needs, looking at our property and proposing a system to meet our needs with the best ROI. The staff and onsite crew were some of the most professional and friendly contractors I've worked with and we couldn't be happier with the service and quality that A&R solar provided. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

I had contacted the top panel solar companies I could find in the Tacoma-Seattle area and A&R was one the three I selected for an estimate. My research put them in the short list. I talked to one of their solar pros Turner and he was super helpful, joyful, and knowlegable. I learned more about solar and technologies from him that I did from others. We ended up choosing a local solar provider for our house but the decision was entirely based on convenience (due to proximity) and price (lower overhead).
Later their sales manager Sara Murphy call me to congratulate me on going solar, even if it was not with them, and asked honest questions about how they could improve. I honestly cannot think of any improvement as both Sara and Turner love their job believe in yhe value of solar energy (as I do), and are clearly proud of what they do. It is admirable they want to continue improving which I do appreciate. For all those reasons, I would recommend A&R solar to anybody. Honest, hardworking people who care about the quality of their work and that can only translate into satisfied custumers.
