We had an excellent experience with PSS, from the time we first explored the possibility and cost of installing roof solar panels until we finally did so almost 3 years later! The presentation of options, analyses and alternatives that we asked them for were key to our decision and planning for the installation later, which had to wait on our roof replacement in the meantime. There is clearly a company culture of straight forward information-sharing, without salesmanship or pressure. The pricing was competitive with other estimates and I think that the projections were more realistic than others about the production levels, which has been affirmed in our subsequent solar production results. The installation went smoothly and I appreciated that all of the crew seemed to be PSS employees, not subcontractors. Highly professional at every stage.

Superb experience! Highly competitive quote (of the 6 I solicited), not to mention the unbeatable 25 year workmanship guarantee. The crew was professional, communicative, competent, and did a clean install with attention to detail. From the beginning, Jason worked with me to come up with a design with no pressure. He answered all my technical questions without fail. There on, Ryan, took over as project manager and went over the details of the install. On the install dates, the crew (Sam, Alec, Kai, and Ajibu) arrived right on time, worked efficiently, and kept the work area clean. (Shout out to Sam, who came up with a nice solution to fit all the new conduit in and about the dry wall besides the electrical panel). Post-install, I was provided education on the system, maintenance, and monitoring. No surprises. Very glad I went with PSS!

Puget Sound Sollar just completed my home's solar install and I'm super happy with the results. The install looks very clean at eye level and I can tell when I review up close that they are very detailed. The team (Duglas, Sam, Kiam, and Alec) were also phenomenal about keeping the property clean while they worked, and were easy to chat with for my various questions during the project. I didn't have to worry about a thing! No permitting, no inspections, no vendors, no problem!

I was one of the many homeowners who rushed to install solar before the incentives ended in 2025. I contacted Puget Sound Solar on July 5, received a quote by July 16, and installation of our 11.5 kw system was completed (and power being generated) by Oct 23. They were communicative throughout, handled all of the permits and Seattle City Light process without my involvement, and even moved up my installation date by 3-4 weeks. When we ran into challenges sourcing the original panels, they helped find equivalent replacements for the same cost. They ultimately came in ahead of schedule and on budget - how often does that happen for large home improvement projects? (Hint: rarely!) Big thanks to Jake, Ryan, Allie, Sam, and the rest of the installation crew!

We recently completed a major renovation on our house and Puget Sound Solar was the best contractor we worked with. From quotes to permits and excellent craftsmanship and communication. Professional from start to finish.

After looking at several companies, we selected Puget Sound Solar in the early fall of 2025. There bid process was very transparent and straightforward. It did not include any weird buy backs. They were honest on their ability to get the work done before the end of the year. The did get the job started and ended quickly. During the installation, they were clean and professional. All inspections with the city went fine. We are very happy with our new solar and are looking forward to being more energy independent over the life of our house.

Puget Sound Solar did an excellent job installing my solar panels. They kept me apprised of schedule, potential changes & what they were doing while installing ( Just installed Dec 2025). Everyone was courteous & professional. I had some internet problems with the Enphase app after install- they were here the same day I called to check it out. The price was reasonable and I felt my home was well taken care of as well as all my questions answered. Overall, a very wonderful experience. The solar panels are working great too!

Everyone I interacted with from sales the project manager to installers were professional and a pleasure to deal with. You could tell they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had time to ask questions every step along the way. It was a bit of a crunch to get everything installed before the end of the year while the tax credit still qualified, but they definitely managed my expectations the whole time despite the demand and had everything completed with about 1 week to spare. There were a couple hiccups in sourcing given everyone in the industry was scrambling, but they were able to find an alternate supplier and get it delivered with minimal disruption. Sam and Jose were professionals during the installation and went out of their way to make sure the installation looked great (despite being short staffed). They were recommended to me and would not hesitate to recommend PSS any time.

Solterra did a great job overall with our backup battery system installation, it is a wonderful system that has been working flawlessly and provides peace of mind knowing that if power from the grid is lost we will still have power. I appreciate everything done by Marvin, Aaron, Tim, Kendall, Paige, Neil and Rochele. They thoroughly explained the operation and answered all our questions. We already have a solar panel system from Solterra which was installed in 2018 that has worked great so adding the battery system was icing on the cake.

SolTerra has been the best to work with in every aspect of the process of our 27 panel system. We chose to go with SolTerra mostly because of our experience working with Nick Richardson. Nick helped us understand the details of our proposal and was readily available anytime we had questions throughout the process. The rest of the crew was wonderful as well. We received updates leading up to our install date and daily communication on the crews progress and next steps for the following day. The crew was thoughtful and very nice to work with. The electrician made sure to answer any and all of our questions. We had extra electrical work done to accommodate an electric vehicle plug for a faster charge. All in all, our experience was easy and seamless from start to finish. We could not be happier with how everything went and the savings we are enjoying by making our own energy from solar. SolTerra recently installed my home solar panels. The service from their sales, admin, and installation personnel was excellent. The whole process from initial sales negotiations, contract signing, installation through initial operation went exactly as promised. There were no surprises. All questions and/or concerns were addressed satisfactorily in a timely manner. The high quality of installation work was quickly validated by county inspectors and subsequent connection to the power grid by the power company.

All 27 panels are now working as advertised and producing electrical output even on rainy, cloudy days. On clear, sunny days they easily produce more electricity than we can use during daylight hours, so we're able to export energy to the grid for which we get financial credit.

Brian Carpenter has been instrumental in making sure this works for us from the first design ideas and costs estimates to understanding the net meter. He is always responsive to any phone calls, emails, texts and will follow up to find out answers if he doesn't have them. The installation crew and the electricians were all professional and knowledgeable. We asked a lot of questions and always felt we were a part of the process. And, we are literally selling sunshine. We got our first check for less than two months of energy producing which was almost enough to pay for a whole year's of electricity at our house. We are looking forward to more years of making money from the sun and significantly lower electric bills. But, don't delay, the incentive package and buy back program do expire. SolTerra met or exceeded all of our expectations and lived up to their promises. They were willing to compromise on a due date in order to allow us to avoid an early withdrawal penalty on a banking issue. There was only 1 issue that we had with an installation feature and SolTerra resolved that to our satisfaction very quickly. They were also readily available to answer questions that we had regarding operation once the system was complete. The system has been in operation for somewhat over a year and our electrical bill has never been more that $14.00 which includes a minimum $12 or $13 simply for being hooked up to the grid. We're very happy with the system and with SolTerra.

I cannot speak more highly of SolTerra. After a door-to-door solar company came by with a high-pressured sales pitch, I decided to look into other options. I spoke with other neighbors who invested in solar, and I kept hearing amazing things about SolTerra.

I just finished my final walkthrough with Kendall Haynes to finish up the wonderful process they have in-place at SolTerra. It started when my wife and I strolled up to their both at the Electrify Expo back in 9/2023 and signed up for additional information.

Over the next few weeks Kendall patiently took me through the process, worked up a proposal and gave me all the facts on what to expect in terms of costs and predicted system performance. He patiently checked in several times as my wife and I decided whether or not to pull the trigger.

We decided to move forwarded and Kendall along with Paige Farris Kantrowitz helped guide us through all the pre-installation process. I didn't have to worry about permits for the most part. I did have to put in an application to my HOA for approval but that we really easy because SolTerra provided all the necessary documents that I needed for application approval. SolTerra worked with PSE on my behalf to make sure that work could start when everything was ready.

The install process was also great. The entire crew was very polite and punctual each day they were on-site. I was especially impressed by my electrician, Caleb McDonell, who was very communicative of all the electrical work that he was taking care of for the installation. Even pointing out a few things with my existing electrical that he needed to correct to make sure the new solar panel system performed at a high-level.

All-in-all, SolTerra delivered on their promise of a really smooth customer experience and I'm now happily able to see how much energy my system is generating during the day. It's great to know that the days are getting longer which means more daylight to produce more energy to push back into the grid.

I decided to go with SolTerra after getting estimates from 5 other companies. What a great decision! From the begin til the end, everyone I dealt with was very professional. They were on time, cleaned up after themselves daily and finished the day they said they would, even working until 9pm in the rain.
The app is extremely easy to use and understand. I love challenging my family to shut enough stuff off (on semi-cloudy days) so we can watch (on the app) our energy use matches what we're making.
