Jason and Alex were great. They arrived on time and did a great job installing 2 new drop down light fixtures. They were very polite and cleaned up when they finished. Excellent job!

Highly recommend Sequim Valley Electric and will call on them for any future electrical work needed in our home. We needed an expansion of our electric panel and an additional 240V/40A outlet installed. From start to finish, Andrea, Chandra, Martin and Josh provided excellent communication, scheduling, expertise and quality work done efficiently at a reasonable price.

Our PUD told us they would shut off our power if we didn't relocate our meter within 30 days. Talk about responsive! When I explained our situation to Sequim Valley Electric, they came out to our home, assessed the problem, came up with a plan, and gave us a fair an affordable bid. All that happened within 24 hours! We found their bid to be fair and affordable. We are fans of Sequim Valley Electric!!!

I first reached out to this electrician thru Angi's. The date and time they gave me was a Sunday. As I thought, Sequim Valley Electric doesn't book on Sundays. I told them what needed fixed and upgraded. The gal said she would have the owner or his worker come over and give me an estimate. Day came and it was Marty, the owner. I was showing him the fixtures, outlets, etc that needed repair plus a couple other things. Before I knew it I was flipping switches at the panel as he yelled what to do. Then he wanted to look at an outlet behind a large teak cabinet my dad had shipped home while he was in Vietnam. Marty grabbed ahold of one end and began scooting it. A crystal vase on too smashed to the floor. He said he needed an outlet and asked if I has a new one. I found one and he switched it for the old one. Then he needed to look at one outside. I had just sold my moms house and had all her belongings here. The outlet was behind a bunch of stuff and he seemed upset. I explained and moved everything out of the way. Then he came back in the house and pulled my sectional away from the wall to the middle of the room. He suddenly began to yell that no one would work under these conditions. He abruptly said he'd send me his bill and left. When I spoke to his office gal, I was told he was stressed out lately and over worked. She also said she would send me the bill and advised that I should hire a handyman. I was expecting an estimate so I could decide whether I could afford all the repairs. I didn't expect to be his helper, or for him to do any work at all. I had not hired him. I merely wanted an estimate. I've never hired an electrician before. I also didn't expect him or anyone else to start moving my furniture, handling a family vintage cabinet as though it came from IKEA, thus breaking something. Finally insulting the cramped condition of my home, adding that he'd send me a bill. His office gal tells me she has sent me the bill electronically. I've not seen a bill, nor do I feel I should pay a dime for how he handled himself. Office gal now says s
I am incurring late charges and will be sent to collections...my choice. When I mentioned that when the needed work (2 rooms with electricity and more) was completed as they promised, I'll pay the bill. She says she has labeled my file DO NOT SERVICE THIS ADDRESS. I'm appalled and have a label for this business: DO NOT USE THIS ELECTRICIAN.

On Super Bowl Sunday one of our outlets started smoking and we had to turn off the circuit breaker for that part of our house. The following day we called Sequim Valley Electric and the owner, Martin, was at our house within an hour! He assessed and corrected the problem very quickly and advised us as to what happened and how to avoid overloading circuit breakers in the future. I really felt he went above and beyond and the price was extremely reasonable. Thank you Sequim Valley Electric for a job well done! We highly recommend you and will use you again in the future if we have any electrical needs!

Martin, Andrea and Josh provided us with guidance and suggestions for our project and were most flexible in scheduling. They worked with a changing schedule timeline with smiles. Their understanding of our inexperience and patience with our questions was commendable. UPDATE: The team has completed electrifying two workshops for us and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. He originally did a space heater, like a month later his wife called and said my invoice was due… it had been paid she said she made a mistake. Martin had given an estimate to do lighting in my home, when we called him he ignored all the calls, because his wife made a mistake and wasnt professional enough to say he just didnt want the job, after giving a quote. Instead she sent me overwhelming prices, after giving an original estimate. I give them 0 stars, but you have to give one to write a review. And make sure you get the price of there service call, might be more that the work u need. Poor business practice

I had a great experience with Sequim Valley Electric. Martin is honest and hard working. Josh was very helpful. They showed up on time, put up recessed lighting, changed out two ceiling fans, changed out switches to dimmers, changed many light fixtures, put up two chandeliers, and put up three outdoor lights all in one day. I trust them and so happy to have found them.

Josh did a terrific job installing our fans. He worked quickly and efficiently assembled and install the lr fan. The bathroom fan was also efficiently installed.

This is the 2nd time I’ve used Sequim Valley Electric. This time they wired up my home to accept a generator for our frequent power outages. It was way less expensive than I anticipated! Thank you Martin and Andrea. You are absolutely first class.

Great experience from start to finish. Chandra was thorough and acommidating setting up an appointment to scope the job. Martin was thorough, on time and very clear. I was able to get an appointment in less than 2 weeks. Josh was on time, had everything he needed and completed the job, of wiring 2 mini splits to my breaker box, faster than the estimate saving me about $500. These guys are great!

I engaged Sequim Valley Electric to replace a dryer plug and other minor work. On Monday, 11/4, their employee showed up and completed those tasks. When he was finished, he asked if I wanted him to clean up the debris from the wall installation or to place the switch plates and I told him I could do that. Later when I tried to place the plate on the side-by-side toggle wall switches I could not line up the screws, the two were not evenly lined up. I called the employee the next morning and explained the problem. (Here is, for me, where the wheels came off!) He advised me to take a screw driver and loosen the screws and push “really hard” to line them up…then, he said that if that did not work just turn off the electricity and do it. I did so reluctantly but it did not work.
I called the office and relayed what had occurred but that it was not urgent. The next day I received a call from the co-owner of the company. After listening to my explanation and my reasonable expectation that a quick stop by their employee could remedy the problem, she offered to reduce the “mandatory” service call from $150 to $125! I tried to talk and respond as politely as possible but expressed dismay that a business owner felt a service call was needed to correct a slight mistake by an employee. She disagreed and eventually hung up on me.
Such a simple, simple issue so easily resolved for good will. Another service corrected the problem in 2 minutes….no charge!

Josh at Sequim Valley electric did a fantastic job installing an exhaust fan with light in our small bathroom. What used to look like a cave is now a well vented well lit bathroom. The work was performed with excellent workmanship and finishing. Definitely would recommend Sequim Valley electric.

After receiving my third review request I decided to do one. I can't speak on the type of work they do because I cancelled my appointment. My experience with the owner was negative. I called Sequim Valley Electric in the afternoon on a Tuesday and was scheduled for the next day with an arrival time from 9am to 11am for a minor issue. The night prior to my appointment I was able to find and fix my problem. In the morning I called to cancel my appointment around 8am and was told their policy does not allow refunds of the $99 deposit I had made because cancellations must be made two days or more prior to the appointment. I asked to have the owner call me because I wanted my money back. What I got was a bunch of gibberish in several TEXT messages. I was offered a credit for any future work. Then I was falsely told the technician was in route. Then finally, I received a copy of their policy that requires a two day cancellation notice. I understand and can accept a trip charge, if a trip was made. How is it possible to cancel an appointment made the day prior, two days in advance? In this case, there was no cost to them. In the end, it felt like extortion.
