Lewis and his team were GREAT to work with! I loved how easy it was to request a quote online, scheduled via texting, reviewed the quote online, and then accepted it. On the day of, the tree trimmers I spoke with were respectful, polite, and had great attitudes.
Side note: I tried to price compare with another competitor, who was so slow to respond that I had already BOOKED A1 Tree Service, but they ended up showing up at my door without communicating or coordinating (eww gross!), I wasn't home so my partner was confused, and then they sent a bid that was $1,000 MORE expensive with LESS work included (because they didn't even talk to me before emailing the bid).
Bottom Line: I HIGHLY recommend A1 Tree Service and will use them for any and all future tree work because it was a stellar customer experience -- from how easy it was to work with them online and via text, clear communication, their competitive pricing, and their high quality work!!

Last summer, had their guys at A1 Tree Service come out and trim 2 dogwoods, a purple autumn ash and a river birch. All I can say is WOW ! The crew was super friendly and it was fun watching them pull themselves up a tree trunk ! They took out one huge trunk from the river birch that was hanging over our chicken run and they did it safely and nothing was hurt. They were also able to take branches hanging over our neighbors yard easily. We are having them back this year to take out our sweet gum tree. They will be my first and only call when I need trees trimmed again !

Our tree looks great! I was impressed with the work. They completed all the tasks I addressed and did an excellent job cleaning up our yard afterwards. I look forward to getting them back to assess the tree again and look at our other trees. Based on our experience, I can recommend them. Thanks!

We were very pleased with A1's immediate attention to the serious condition of our trees. We have never used them before so it was impressive for Lewis to make time in his busy schedule to meet our needs. His assessment and treatment of our trees was very much appreciated. Not to mention, he was accessible and attentive to further concerns and questions after the appointment. We now have A1 on a regular schedule to manage our properties.

So last night we had a bit of a windstorm blow through the region and it reminded me why I use A1 Tree Service. I had a tree next to my home that had a split trunk and it was obviously on its last legs. A1 came out last summer, did an estimate, set up an appointment, and brought a crew out that took the tree down - a fairly tall pine - in about an hour and a half. They've been to my house several times for tree pruning and removal and they are always very professional and deliver quality service.

We recently purchased a home with a couple of trees that needed attention. Lewis was right out to take a look and give us a bid. He had recommendations on how to improve the health of one of the trees. Scheduling was timely. The crew was professional and had the job well done in no time! Would definitely recommend for A1 for any tree services! Thank you!

These guys were here on time did a tremendous amount of work, for the price. Entire team was professional, and fast. They cleaned up fantastically afterwards. Codi and Lewis had awesome recommendations. USE THESE GUYS!

Update 3/11/2025: trimmed trees in front yard. Took 17 minutes from entering driveway to leaving with the check. Awesome job. These guys never disappoint.

Moved into a new house around Christmas. Had multiple large trees that were way overgrown for the property as well as many wild growing trees; some so old they were buckling the sidewalk. Reached out to Lewis in January and had the trees cut down by Valentine's Day. The crew worked diligently with lots of hustle and had the job done in about three hours. A1 has provided us with prompt, courteous and professional service over the past few years. They have helped us keep our pine trees in check for bark beetles, tackling the affected trees before they could spread further. Lewis always stays in communication when scheduling appointments and updating us when they are due to arrive as scheduled. We would not consider any other tree service for our property.

We have called on Lewis and his team for many tree services over the years both for regular yearly maintenance and special jobs. They are reliable, professional, and prompt. Can’t recommend them highly enough.,

These guys did an excellent job trimming and pruning an out of control tree I have on my property. Lewis was quick to get back to me and professional. They were able to get me an estimate and the work completed all within a few days. The tree looks excellent and the process was easy. Thanks guys for doing a great job and being easy to work with. I got several bids on a tree removal, and A1 Tree Service came in at the best price. Best price doesn't always tell the entire story, though. I'd rather pay more for a job well done, than always go with the cheapest price. In my experience with A1: I got the best price AND a job that was better than "well done." I was left extremely impressed.

From consultation through job completion, A1 Tree Service was thorough and professional. They arrived on time for the job that we scheduled and came with a full crew. I was planning on working in my office while they did their job, but I couldn't stop watching them work. They operated like a highly functional orchestra, constantly moving and doing different tasks between the crew members. They had the entire job, including cleanup and getting paid, fully completed in 58 minutes. This included tree removal of a large tree near a home and fence line, stump removal, and hauling away of all the wood.

When you see how competitive their bid is, don't be skeptical. A1 Tree Service is not "too good to be true." They are just "too good," and that's it.

I jumped the gun on my last review and do not know how to delete it. Levi and his crew did a GREAT job as they promised. I will use them again if they will have me after the bad review. i am so very happy they followed on their word and the problem is now fixed. Horrible service from this company. They didn’t follow my directions, probably because the “arborist” Joseph Zubaly that I talked to didn’t oversee his workers at all. They did irreparable harm to two of my blue spruces and never touched other trees they were supposed to.

I called about my displeasure and weeks later when Joseph finally took the time to come out and look at the terrible job they did, he argued with me yet agreed with me they took off way more than we had discussed.

The lower branches they removed will never grow back on my blue spruces. I’m upset every single time I drive up to my house and see the damage they did.

Do not use these “arborist” especially Joseph Zubaly. I was very clear with him about what I wanted them to do but now I’m stuck with damaged trees and a huge bill that I refuse to pay.

In subsequent emails he’s accused me of lying, refusing to take any responsibility for their shoddy work. Really a class act this company.

If you care about your trees, please learn from my mistakes and hire someone else.

The service was great. Workers are courteous and professional. I would recommend them to anyone with tree maintenance issues.

Bartlett Tree Experts has taken care of the maple, tulip, and linden trees at my home for several years now. I am so grateful for their knowledge and expertise in plant health. I have twice called because of very bad bug infestations on the trees and they came out immediately to resolve the problem.

While driving on the freeway this car almost caused an accident and was being a VERY aggressive while in his work car. I definitely would NEVER work with this company!

I have been a Customer since early Spring 2010.
(Removal of 3 Cherry Trees and 2 huge Blue Spruces, purchase and planting of 2 Crabapple trees, multiple Trimmings/Pruning of 8 trees, multiple Insect Treatments for 8 trees , Lawn Care - 2.5 years)

Cancelled Oct 2017!! Company failed to service my address on the regular basis and to satisfaction as service agreement promised. I had to call multiple times, because no one showed for my lawn services.
My lawn is green, but I still have weeds and moss out of control after 2.5 years of treatment. My moss is even worse! On one occasion, liquid lawn fertilizer was applied undiluted onto my lawn. The employee noticed his mistake as he was ready to leave and frantically hosed my lawn off with water.
My mother used the less expensive GL Lawn Service and her weeds were fast under control after just two applications and her moss was gone after one moss treatment. Both treatments where environment friendly :-)

After bringing my service concerns to the attention of a Bartlett Representative, I was met with an argumentative attitude and blamed for the Company's shortcomings. He did not value me as a long standing customer.

I am very disappointed and shocked about the unfriendly treatment after so many years of being a Customer.
