Landscaping reviews in Spokane Valley, Washington

These guys have the worst communication ever I would never recommend them. I live in an apartment complex and they weedwack gravel and then it hits windows and breaks them and they they lie to my property manager saying them mowed everything and they didn't. They also do not do weed pulling and in their contract it says they do. They are very lazy workers. And they make excuses saying their was a birthday party in the yard and there was no birthday party in the grass area. Please DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY

Fast and friendly service! We had a landscape job that needed to be completed before Monday, this was the only company I could find to deliver our materials on a Saturday. Thank you for your services!!

The have amazing fountains from natural stones to man made to fossilized trees. They have amazing pavers, not boring home depot pavers but belgard pavers that they can tumble. They have trees and plants and everyone there know a ton about the stuff they sell. They carry dirt and basalt rocks and all sorts of other rocks. It's a locally owned family business open to the general public.

We asked for dwarf spruce, the gave us full sized trees. I asked for information on the source nursery of their trees so I could get more information on what to expect from these trees. I sent them photos of the trees and the tags, no response. Taking our business elsewhere.

This is my go to place for rock water features, especially basalt columns, and fire pits. Also have great selection of paver, natural rock and manmade. Basins, pumps, drilling, sand blasting and polishing, engraving, and lighting. They have beautiful fabricated pieces nand premade fountains or u custom design nand they make it to order. Some cast concrete features. Lots of trees n shrubs. It's the hardscapes that thrill me. Very helpful and willing to take the time and discuss options. I love the place!

Last spring I bought 3 pots of rock cress and 5 pots of ever green ground cover. To be honest non of them are in good shape but since I couldn’t find at Home Depot so I bought from Gibson. Gibson charged full price even though half of the leaves turned to brown. Last autumn I bought 3 pots of garden mum which were perennial according to the shop manager. But non of them came back this spring. I called nursery tried to ask some questions. The lady said they will call me back so I left my phone number but they never called back. So I decided I should never buy any plants or flowers at Gibson from now!

I moved here 10 years ago, and started completely revamping my landscaping. This was my go-to nursery, and I have literally spent thousands at this business over the years.
Today I returned, during the modified phase II opening during covid-19. Masks are required indoors in all public spaces, and outdoors also if 6ft cannot be maintained. I was extremely disappointed to find that not one single staff member working inside the shop had a mask, in spite of the state-wide order. So...instead of buying a tree and plants as I had planned, I pointed out they weren’t wearing masks and told them they had lost my business. Probably permanently. It is no small thing that they were flouting the governor’s order. It sends the message loud and clear:
A. They are NOT community minded. In spite of spikes in cases of covid in Spokane County, and people getting sick and dying, they are openly breaking the governor’s order to mask, because their personal comfort or politics are more important.
B. They do not care about the health or welfare of their customers: My husband is 65, and I am 55 with underlying health conditions that put me at risk of complications with covid. Like everyone, we have been very careful and this trip to the nursery was our first one since the pandemic bagan, and we undertook it
with the understanding that they were complying with state mask regulations. It was very upsetting to find they were not.
C. They don’t care about their employees. No matter what their personal politics are, putting their employees at risk is irresponsible and inexcusable.
I haven’t decided yet if I will report this business to the authorities. I left the premises because of the risk, and went to another nursery to spend over $500 somewhere else. I let a staff member know of my disapproval. Beyond that, I encourage others to boycott this business unless or until they begin to show responsible behavior. At the very least, they have lost my business for this entire season, and possibly permanently. -
My wife and I live in CDA and have been using Gibsons for a few years. To us it's worth the drive because we have received nothing but excellent service. They are extremely helpful, have a great selection, and are very fast with delivery.

The most unhelpful. I go out looking to buy 2 trees and wanting help picking out what kind of maple I should get all I got was a its personal preference and here is a poster with the different kinds on it. So I go do a bunch of research online on my own final figure out what kind I want I go there ask to pick one out we go look they don't have any while the worker is talking shop with someone else. Then they say they will get them in next week and give me a call. Over a week later I call asking if they have any and they say sure do guess they just decided to bot call me. Found the same trees somewhere else for cheaper and will never return for any other of my yard upgrades.

Bought two almond trees from them and one of them really struggled. I talked to Bruce about it weeks later, and he offered a full replacement. Great service well after the sale. Bruce is the man! He's very knowledgeable. I will continue to give them my business.

An error was made (probably mine) and 6 yards of the wrong shredded bark was delivered to our house. I explained that what I received was not what I thought I had ordered. Within 2 hours the nursery arrived with the bark I wanted and a tractor to load the wrong delivery back in the truck. Very impressed with their customer service. it had to be costly for them to handle the situation with grace, I will shop there again and again.

Reasonable pricing and great staff make it enjoyable to visit

Twice in less than 30 days, I've had to fix mistakes made by staff. When I make an order based on measurements to have a client pay for, I'm not interested in getting what a person suggests to upsell products. I then spent Memorial Day weekend digging a client's renters driveway free of several yards of sandy loam. All so she could utilize her driveway.

We went there after we had had little luck finding some pavers to finish a project. Everyone we spoke to was extremely friendly and very helpful. Also, their selection ended up being the best we'd found. After deciding what we needed, I called to order the pavers so we could pick them up later that day. When my husband got there, the pavers were perfectly stacked and wrapped on a pallet, ready to go! They immediately got them loaded onto our trailer and my husband was on his way. Even though it is appropriately an hour drive for us to go there, their customer service and selection is worth it!

They are good! I do business with them, buy sod as needed for different things through the year, get some chemicals or bug spray and such.
They are close to me, probably a three minute drive, and when you want to get something and get home and not make it an hour long trip, that's important to me. -
Please read Melissa Waters' review below. I had the EXACT same experience there today.
I have spent thousands of dollars at this nursery, but am taking my business elsewhere.
I don't care what their politics are, but protesting the mask mandate at a business is BAD business. Not that you care, but you've just lost another customer. There are lots of nurseries to choose from with better prices and more variety.
See ya.....
