Great selection of plants, trees, shrubs...both indoor and outdoor. I love the staff at Ritter's as they are so helpful and knowledgeable.

What a fun place to go spend a couple hours looking at all the beautiful unique plants and local and interesting gifts. Their plants are the best!!! They have hard to find and speciality plants. The one that caught my eye was this gorgeous house plant called ‘candy corn’ though I think they look more like little goldfish! All plants are healthy! The staff was so amazingly friendly and answered all the questions my 95 yr old grandma asked as well as my 4 yr old. And there were a lot of questions!! The gift shop had a bunch of retro candy that was fun to look through and try a couple of. If your visiting Spokane stop by and see some local talent in horticulture.

"Ritters critters" ( AKA ..the awesome staff) are always knowledgeable and willing to help with all your gardening needs..wide selection of soil and amendments that are not typically available at other garden shops. If you need a gift for someone and want something really interesting or different..this is the spot. I don't know any other place in town where everyone gets really excited when the beneficial bugs arrive for the season..just lovely 🐞

An abundance of everything needed for planting outdoors and interior household flora.

Have known this business since I was a kids. They have a kids tree house and play area and a great selection of plants. I have always loved their business. They also have 2 cats inside! I got a little lavender plant from them and I love it.

I brought my own peanut basket to have planted in March. What I received was $50 worth of plants for $240 when I picked it up in May. When asking why it was so expensive, I was told it was because products were costing more in China. What? The plants? I brought on my own basket! I miss Mels. Go anywhere else. Greed has taken over Ritters.

The customer service experience was exceptional! Everyone was so helpful & fill of information. We are so excited to get our yard out together.

It was a great customer service experience. They had some very unique planters and home decor as well. Check it out if your in the neighborhood.

Been having a major scale problem from a plant I bought from here. Such a pain to try to get rid of. For the $70 I paid for it I don't want to also deal with pests.

Lovely garden store with everything you need for a great quality garden. Seeds, decor, pots, soil and more.

They provide the most amazing garden variety of annual and perennials, trees, shrubs. They have master gardeners on hand to help make good planting decisions. Their bedding plants are a bit more expensive then the typical garden centers, however they were so much healthier, they stock the bedding plants in a color coordinated fashion that I thought was a great sales tactic, I wanted to plan my bedding areas accordingly. I bought a young tree, it's been in the ground for 2 weeks, and it actually blossomed at its young age and is so fragrant, exactly as the master Gardner said it would.

Cute place with a lot of gift items and great plants. I’m not a Spokane local but I would imagine it’s hard to get good indoor plants in the area. The prices were a little high but understandable for all the care they put in to maintaining the greenhouse. The Pileas I saw were very happy, all the plants were thriving in there actually! We came to look at the plants, we left with a handful of candy.

I don't know how they are still in business. Their prices are so much higher than anywhere else in town and/oronline. Much of what I was attempting to purchase today didn't even have a price on it, no sign, and the employee couldn't even find it in their computer. Their outside sing says, "houseplants 30% off", it doesn't say "select", they wont include air plants, which are obviously indoor house plants. The worst part though, was the pretentious attitude given when I was asking questions. Now I remember why I haven't been there in over a decade. In addition, I was surprised to see them selling candy cigarettes and candy pipes. They must really need to make a buck, likely because their prices are so inflated barely anyone can afford to shop there, and that's if you forgive the other issues.

They are so friendly and helpful :) They responded quickly to my inquiries and really came through. It is definitely the top nursery in town!!

We spent a couple of hours in the plant store!! I am disabled, so walking is very limited. I was happy to find that they had carts that I could use to steady myself. I was a little clumsy and bumped into a few things, but thankfully nothing broken. With that said, having a little more room for the push carts would have been nice.
Now the customer service, that was top notch!! Everyone was attentive and very helpful! I spent more than I wanted, but you can't put a price tag on the enjoyment that I had!
Okay, second visit today 12/09/2023!! Ritter's was having a Christmas Bazaar and had a lot of vendors there! I bought a few things. In the picture is a small called "Polkadot" and then a few "Spider Plant" starts, and a pot to plant something in. We bought goodies as well, some Mead wine stuff, cookies from a vendor, dog treats and the dogs went crazy. I also picked up some healing lotions to help with stiff joints and migraines... Again, we had a great time!! Even lost a cell phone in the process!! LoL
Get to one of their stores and have some fun!! -
Ritters is a fantastic store with a tremendous selection of everything you could imagine and more. That said, they dropped the ball on my last purchase. Bought a large and small bonsai two and a half weeks ago. They were dry at the time of purchase but looked good. I followed the specific instructions per the person who helped me. Within a week, the small one looked off. and in two weeks it was dead. I called today and was informed that the bonsai were not covered by any replacement policy. The small bonsai sold for $75.00. Caveat emptor on the bonsai!

I love this place! So many lovely plants - poinsettias so beautiful I was in awe! African Violets like I've never seen. So many wonderful things to look at and I plan to visit throughout the year.

Great selection of outdoor plants. I didn't locate house plants, but I didn't peruse it all. Great location and selection! Love the pots and fertilizers, etc.
I'm hoping they add more orchid pots and more hydroponic supplies and fertilizers. Helpful staff, friendly, and they all love plants and explaining things. 😄 -
If you’re looking for amazing and unique plants Ritters is the place to go! Recently got a Calathea White Fusion and a Calathea Musiaica through them!
