I completely remodeled the basement unit of my Tacoma triplex and Brien re-wired the whole thing. It was a big job, there was some old knob and tube, wires were mislabeled on the panel, which also needed to be upgraded.
He did meticulous work, was easy to get ahold of and completed the job on time, on budget! Couldn't be happier with his work, he really knows his stuff. Definitely recommend and will hire him again for future jobs!

Brien was great! He showed up on time to do the walk through and ended up installing a new outlet for us same day. Took about an hour. He answered all our questions and helped us figure out the timeline for other electrical work we want to have completed. Would definitely recommend!

I am very impressed with Brien's work. My house is over 100 years old and he upgraded my kitchen knob and tubing during a 'face lift' which required a lot of care to not damage tile. He was creative and willing to problem solve ways to maintain code and manage my needs! He was reliable and came when he said he would, and stayed late to get the job done. Definitely a keeper in my contacts!

I wholeheartedly recommend Brien and his business, The Tacoma Electrician. Brien replaced my electric panel and installed a new circuit for a hot tub while bringing several other items up to code. In order to ensure I would be satisfied with the end result, Brien took on several more difficult and less pleasant tasks. For example, Brien avoided the need for conduit on the outside of my house by fishing wire through a tight ceiling space filled with obstructions. Brien made the extra effort to remediate the old panel installation which had been an eyesore. It had been installed on the surface of the wall and boxed in with sheet rock which blocked off a portion of a window. The other electricians I had spoken to said it would be time-consuming and very expensive to modify. However, Brien was able to reroute wires within the time scope of the originally scheduled project, so the new panel could be installed within the wall. Moreover, Brien provided me with essential advice on how to open up and prepare the wall for the installation, so I could save on labor costs. Brien knows the city code requirements, so permitting and inspection went off without a hitch. He does excellent work, is accommodating, and reasonably priced. In the 20+ years I have owned my home and have been hiring people to work on it, Brien stands out as one of the best I have had the pleasure to employ! As an aside, he is the new holder of the the crawl space crawling record. He is the only person who has ever been able to reach the back of my house in the crawl space where clearance decreases to only a few feet. Impressive!

Brien is an absolute rockstar. I had him by to put in some extra outlets and run a new 40amp line to the kitchen. He also reconfigured a garbage disposal switch to be above the sink and moved some outlets in the kitchen for our appliances. He completed all this work in two days for a great price and permitted everything through the city. I had no issue trusting Brien at our house while we were busy moving out of our old house. Highly recommend this talented young man for his work ethic, pricing, and integrity.

Tech came out to bid for an EV charger installation. He left and said he'd send me a quote. A week went by and I never received a quote. I had to email the owner to ASK for a quote. The owner responded that I (an accountant and THE CUSTOMER) needed to do a load calculation before they would do anything. I am no electrician. I sent him pictures of our breaker box with labels AND told him I had another company come out for a quote that did a load calculation the week before. That calculation came out to 80% capacity. I receive an email from the owner a day later saying he would not spend any more time on my EV install and that they would not help me or do any installation.

Why didn't the tech do a load calculation onsite? Why is it my responsibility to do so when I am not an electrician? And why did I have to bug the owner to get a quote so that I could pay him money? Terrible customer service. Thanks for wasting my time.

If you’re looking for an electrician in Tacoma, this is seriously the best company. I own several units and I am contractor here in Tacoma as well, I can definitely recommend The Tacoma Electrician. The Tacoma Electrician has installed electric vehicle chargers at my personal house, done remodel and repair work on several of our units, installed lights and outlets at various projects for us, and even wired an entire tiny home project we built. Overall they're a super helpful and honest company to work with.

Went to Bluebeard Coffee on south Tacoma Way. I asked who did the electrical work in the shop and the barista said "The Tacoma Electrician". The clean, straight conduit work stands out in the coffee shop. Great job.

Brien is so helpful, his work was above and beyond my expectations. I got my 1915 house knob and tube removed and all electrical updated. Any issues that he saw, even if not electrical related, was brought to my attention to address. All of his recommendations for other work to be done ended up great.

Brien was top notch! I wanted to add an EV charger to a detached garage which meant adding a sub panel as well. I got quotes from 6 businesses, 2 came out but never submitted a bid. The other 3 were all double or more than the estimate Brien gave me. He got me on the schedule within a week and knocked out the entire project in a day. Workmanship was fantastic (even commented on by the electrical inspector), and he also cleaned up and relabeled our old panel. I will definitely be calling him with any future electrical needs and would highly recommend him!

I've had problems almost from day one after moving into my brand new home. Flickering lights as a result of loose wires, to many outlets on one circuit. The breaker box is to small for our house but they crammed everything in there anyway and everything isn't even lables. Is it normal to have exterior outlets on the same circuit as the great room, office, and entry? I've reached out in the past with zero results. A blow and go contractor for sure.

My experience with A/C has been extraordinary. Got to comment:
A/C was the contractor that did our electrical work when our original home was rebuilt, ground-up, into a beautiful new ranch, and they installed all our electrical appliances, circuits etc. Installed our Generac as well. We've had no problems and they were great about coming back for 1st year checks and follow-up.
It was when our generac FAILED during the "bomb-cyclone" that I found out how dedicated and responsive they were: Got a message to their office answering machine late Saturday letting them know the generator had failed and we were blacked out. Got a call a couple of hours later from Clint, owner/owner's son, who was out to dinner with his family and had just gotten our message from his answering service. Would be "here" in thirty minutes!
Arrived, with his wife and daughter in tow, diagnosed the problem, got the Generator working - not a common problem - and got us up and going that night. In the middle of the night, in the middle of a storm!
It was an equipment failure, not a wiring problem or electrical issue, he left dinner and brought his family to get to us right away, he fixed the problem, and didn't charge us!
I can't imaging anyone providing better service in any industry under any circumstances!!! Eternally grateful! Trust these people.
