After calling a number of other electricians and receiving no return calls, I was referred to Paul by a colleague. My call was returned the same day. Due to potential safety concerns, he worked my electrical issue into his already very busy schedule within a few days. Paul showed on time. He is incredibly patient, polite, professional, knowledgable, thorough, and compared with his colleagues, his prices are very reasonable. I would absolutely call Paul first and only use this company for future electrical work. I highly recommend!

Paul and John were excellent. They installed 2 outlets in our attics. Had to run conduit and get into inconvenient spaces. Work was done quickly and diligently and Quotes were honest and fair prices. We ended up even coming in below the initial estimate. They advised us on some potential issues they spotted with other peoples shotty workmanship and suggested repairs. The inspection post work went flawless and their reputation for good work preceded them from the city. Anytime I need electrical work done they will be the go to.

5 stars does not even begin to adequately rate the level of service and workmanship that Paul provides. I was painting my entry way and noticed the junction box that the chandelier was connected to was beginning to come through the ceiling. After MANY phone calls to MANY electrical businesses, Paul was the ONLY electrician that cared enough about the safety issue I was having to make room in his schedule to help me out. He showed up right on time, he wore shoe covers (WOW!!) and immediately got to work fixing the junction box. He explained to me exactly how he was going to do the repair, including how he would reinforce the box. What a relief to know that it was going to be fixed correctly! He also shortened the chain for me (an aesthetic change) which had been bugging me since the house was built. Paul also fixed a sconce that was improperly installed when the house was built. I was only hoping for an estimate on this, and then scheduling a future appointment to get the work done. But Paul kindly did the repair right then and there so no future appointments were needed. I cannot say enough GREAT things about Paul - I highly recommend him. He is courteous, dependable, professional, thorough, knowledgable, polite, and friendly. His rates are reasonable and he informs the customer of this before doing any work. Look no further. Paul is the BEST.

I thought I was having real electrical problems with my garbage disposal and dishwasher, but it turns out I just had them plugged into the wrong sockets (with the dishwasher in the switch-controlled plug). Instead of just scheduling a visit when I called, Paul helped me figure out that power was flowing by properly checking the breakers (gotta hear the click!), which led me to finding the problem. I appreciated the guidance and avoiding an expensive visit, and will be calling Dependable when I do need electrical work.

Anyone searching for an electrician in Tacoma, search no further! I called and described my breaker issue to Paul, and initially tried to setup an appointment. He called me back a few minutes later and said it sounds like a similar issue he just resolved for one of his customers, it was indeed a faulty surge protector on the same circuit!

He could've charged me 350 to come out to diagnose and fix it, but he solved it over the phone. I now know this company is not out to just make a buck off of you but actually solve your problems. It is nice to have such a trustworthy company that you can call on.

I called Paul on a Friday afternoon after doing a quick Google search for an electrician in Tacoma. Since Dependable Electric had a good review, I did not hesitate to call.

While I was expecting to arrange an appointment for the next week, Paul said he was in the area and would be happy to stop by. Barely 30 minutes later, he pulled up in my drive way ready to work.

The circuit in my garage kept blowing due to the number of power tools I was trying to use. Paul quickly came up with a plan to install two 20 amp circuits right below the breaker box. The job was completed in less than an hour and Paul took the time to explain the inspection process to me.

From the initial Google search to the time Paul and his co-worker completed the work and left was not even 2 hours. The work is clean and everything works great. The price was fair. Paul even took the time to talk to me about an issue I am having in a different part of the house. No doubt I’ll be calling him for that work too.

All in all, I could not be happier with the work Paul and his team completed.

I hired Paul and his crew to correct a few electrical issues and install new outlets in our circa 1952 attached garage. From my first contact with Paul, I was blown away by his professionalism, skill, and courtesy. He clearly communicated all issues of the job, he asked the important questions, and kept me informed at every step along the way. Paul discovered several risky problems with my older home (live knob and tube wiring, live electrical wires that had previously been nailed through). He correct these giving me peace of mind and possibly averting disaster down the road. Paul also cleaned up some wiring recently installed by Vets Electric from a separate project. When my drywall contractor damaged some circuits after the rough-in, Paul made sure a member of his team came out as soon as possible to get my power supply up and running safely again!! Paul is one of the good guys. He's nice, friendly, and fair. I will have him return to our home for all our electrical needs! I highly recommend Paul and his team at Dependable Electric!!

We hired Dependable Electric to remove knob and tube wiring, check the quality of the existing modern wiring, install several new outlets, and to fix any general electrical issues that they found in the process. Overall, Dependable Electric was fantastic to work with. Paul and his apprentice, John, were professional, courteous, and hardworking. Paul consulted us on several decisions that warranted our input and gave us reasonable options. We felt the communication in this regard was stellar. It's a great relief knowing we have safe wiring and we have complete confidence in the work that they did. We will continue to be customers if issues arise in the future and wholeheartedly recommend Dependable Electric for any sort of electrical work.

We had a tripped 60 amp GFCI disconnect that is connected to our hot tub. Paul was able to quickly diagnose our problem and ordered a new part to replace the old breaker. Paul kept me informed every step of the way and made a successful repair as soon as the parts arrived.

Another great experience with Dependable Electric today. Paul came out to install a few things for us. He also provided a suggestion to save me some money and make future maintenance simpler. Absolutely phenomenal. We wanted an outlet installed behind our wall-mounted TV to hide the cord, and after struggling to get someone to commit to come out we reached out to Dependable Electric. Paul answered my first call while on another job and promised to get back to me later that day, which he did! Not only that, he was able to come out the following day(!) and get the job done, in about half the time he originally estimated, saving us a lot of money and time. Everything about him and his team was incredible:

* Super fast response
* Explained everything he was planning to do
* Was able to come the NEXT DAY (it was originally tentative based on whether he could make it out that day, but he made it happen)
* Better solution than another electrician who wanted to cut up our drywall -- Paul's solution required no clean-up

* Way less $$ than originally estimated (because he and his team were quick)

It's like he snapped his fingers, one minute we had an ugly cord on the wall, the next we're looking at a clean, safely hidden cord with a new outlet. It took me an entire day to process how smoothly that happened. Everyone else we've tried takes forever to get back to us and get on a schedule that's weeks out. We are so grateful for Paul and Tim and team and can't recommend them enough!

We’ve used Paul on multiple jobs at our house. He always does great work at a reasonable price. The city inspectors agreed that he does excellent work. He always shows up when he says he will and will get your project completed up to code. We will 100% use his services again. Highly recommended.
