Turns out that I waaaay overpaid for a 50A plug installation. Apparently, they use a few sales tactics on the unwary:
- about $90 fee to come out and provide an estimate. Sounds fine, but it discourages you from getting multiple estimates as you could be out several hundred no matter who you choose.
- offers to do the work on the spot, wrapping the initial fee into the total - sounds good so you agree.
- offers you a service package for future discounts, after pointing out problems you'll need to address. But at their prices, even the discount means I'll likely over pay.
- Installed the plug in a bad spot, then guaranteed the work, but refused to change it - instead, twisted the heavy gauge cord on my level 2 charger, putting a lot of stress on it. If he turned the plug 90 degrees, or installed it to the left of the panel like he said, I wouldn't have any concern on this part.

BTW, it was over $1,500 to put a 15A plug about 4" below the panel!

Zach Branson showed up on time and not only did he get the work done quickly, but he spotted a few issues from the previous owner's poor work and corrected it at no additional charge.

We discussed some options I had not really considered and he gave me some time to consider them with no pressure to go whichever way I wanted.

Zach was also very personable and easy to work with ... well, to watch work anyway - not like I was going to dive into the electrical panel next to him. :-)

Will definitely be calling them with future projects!

We had this company install a sub panel and wire underground for our new hot tub arriving in a few weeks. They did an excellent job. Not all electricians would consider the aesthetics of this type of work. But they did and made it look as clean and nice as possible. We really appreciate them and highly recommend.

Talk about service! James showed up right on time, was able to give me the quote, and start the work in the same day. He even showed me what upgrades I need to do next to make sure my lights stay on. 11/10 recommend.

Just had James come out to fix a heat exchanger. Took a bit of time, but he finally found the fault. He found a bad rheostat that caused the unit to not function. Heat exchanger is working once again.

Mr. Electric completed a full electrical inspection of my 1918 craftsman home in Tacoma. I was extremely pleased with Fernando and his partner's attention to detail, and explanations of my house's current wiring during their inspection. They made me feel confident in the electrical systems I had in place and made recommendations they saw fit.

The estimator Matt, was excellent in additionally explaining and recommending services. He was completely honest and did not attempt to upsell me on any items I did not need!

Matt explained to me certain scenarios in the future that I may want upgrades installed, but if I do not plan on those scenarios, then no need to pay for unnecessary work. I truly appreciate this type of honesty and service from any provider.

I needed some electrical work done at my office and I hired Mr. Electric. They sent James Lowe to my office and he designed and added security lights to the building. He did a GREAT JOB so I hired him to install a few extra outlets and garage lighting at my home. He is quick, efficient, gets the job done and showed up on time. The tech that came to my house did a diagnostic check and found the problem quickly. Even though I had shelving in the way to the bad outlet. He was not deterred and worked around it and upgraded the wiring and fixed it. I have another project in mind and definitely will call Mr. Electric again!!!

I needed a check of a potential electrical issue. I called a competitor first and soonest they could come was 2 weeks out. My next call was to Mr Electric... next day service. Gary was courteous, professional and took the time to explain things. Pricing was not absurd.

Carson came out today to inspect a flickering bathroom light fixture. He started by checking our electrical panel for any issues and recommended potential upgrades. He rewired the bathroom and wall switch and the bathroom fixture. We changed all bulbs and problem solved. We also discussed other electrical changes we need. All the work and estimates were completed and quoted at reasonable prices. Carson was pleasant and knowledgeable and I would recommend him and Mr Electric for you electrical needs.

From initial inquiry to service completion, my issue was resolved in less than 24hrs!!! I am thoroughly impressed with the customer service with this company!

The initial inquiry was taken by an AI representative during after hours. It was a unique experience, but the AI was very patient and accurate. The AI did a great job at gathering my basic information so that a live representative could get back to me about my inquiry the next business day.

I got a phone call the next morning first thing from a live representative that confirmed my basic information, the issue at hand, and my availability for a technician to come out for service. They actually had availability same-day and they were able to get a technician out in less than 2 hours! I mostly work from home, so it worked out!

My technician was Carson. He was very polite, very knowledgeable and he was able to perform a diagnostic assessment to seek the underlying issue and it was discovered quickly. He had the part that I needed in his truck, so he was able to replace my breaker unit. After replacement, everything started to work smoothly again.

The precision, accuracy, and timeliness with this company is unmatched!! 10/10 all around. I will certainly keep Mr. Electric in mind for all servicing I need in my home from this point forward!
