Previously, Alvin would receive 5-stars and has done work at our home several times over the last few years. He is a good person and he and his crew do great work! We have been waiting 4 months for any communication from him after he came to our home and said he would get back to us with information and an estimate. I did not want to write this review, but he has yet to respond to me or my wife via numerous communication methods.

Alvin and team did an amazing job on our patio. Alvin worked with us to help plan things out, make some key decisions, and coordinate with others to get the work done within our budget and timeframe. We would heartily recommend their services to others.

Alvin and his crew hired to level and reseed lumpy backyard. Alvin came and met with us and got back within short period with estimate. They reduced and leveled yard away from house. There were lots of roots and had to replace some sprinkler heads. They laid and rolled new top soil and then seeded. Alvin was a wealth of knowledge. Except for some sprinkler head replacement due to the roots, the estimate was right on. The work was done and cleaned up in 3 days. Alvin was prompt, communication was clear and friendly. His crew was prompt and cleaned up each day. I would use their services again and highly recommend.

Worked with Alvin and his team last year to install a fresh irrigation system for my new lawn.

He came by gave me and estimate that ranged from best case to worse (depending on how many zones I needed due to the pressure from my water main)

His estimate was very comparable to others (actually a bit cheaper) and he was the most knowledgeable.

Once we decided to book with him, the project was finished very quickly and zero mess and right in the middle of his cost estimate.

He also came and checked the system a few weeks later to make sure that the heads settled in to the correct spray pattern and that the grass was getting proper coverage.

Alvin responded within hours for my request to do a quote for a retaining wall. He was out the next day and got me a detailed itemized quote. His was by far the best price I had found. That in combination with the excellent service made the choice easy. Alvin and his crew came out the next week and knocked out the entire job in a day and a half. I was amazed! The results were an extremely high quality finished product. I couldn't be happier, I now have my go to for any other landscaping I need in the future!

Alvin and his crew did a great job on building my training wall on the stove of my house. Price was very reasonable and the work was exceptional.

For our re-gravel and clean/minimalist but welcoming landscaping project, Alvin was very friendly, responsive, and communicative. He answered my call the first time, came out for a free quote and design consultation first thing the next morning, and offered insights on ways we could alter our vision to save money (and future effort!) with multiple options. We were especially impressed by how quickly he sent a detailed, line-item quote (with options!) and got started on the work the following week.

His team was also very professional. Owning their own equipment meant no delays, and they showed up on time each day, working hard on a pretty labor-intensive job while keeping everything tidy. At the end of each day, our yard was clean and their equipment was stored/stacked out of the way. When the project was done, everything was left clean and trash free.

The finished project looks fantastic, and folks who drive by have been stopping to admire the work, and asking for Alvin’s number for their own projects! We're stoked with the end result and wished we found Alvin sooner! Six stars!

Alvin and his team are fantastic to work with. Alvin took the time to really understand our goals with our backyard upgrades that included hardscape, grading, landscaping, fencing and irrigation. He proposed options that improved the design while still keeping the job within our budget. His team completed the job on time, on budget and great quality. Highly recommend Alvin and his team!

We had a 70 foot retaining wall and about 1400 ft.² of sod putting in our backyard. Alvin was easy to talk to and gave great ideas and his team was meticulous. The thing I liked most about Alvins team is they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They did exactly what we talked about from building the retaining wall properly to grading our backyard properly, to installing the sod. Overall, very happy with the service I was provided and appreciated very much how they cleaned up. Alvin and his team washed off the side of our house at the end. After every day they were here they cleaned up in my driveway washed it off. They also cleaned up the road. So when they left, it had looked like no one was there prior. I appreciate this so much, not only that the work was top-notch, but they took their time and did it right. I would highly recommend Alvin and his team.

Alvin is awesome! He created a lovely raised bed in front of my fence. He and his crew did fast work for a fair price. They kept everything tidy while they worked over a couple of days. I could not be happier! I'll definitely call Alvin the next time I need work done.

I cannot possibly express what a great experience it is working with this company. Alvin is on site frequently. The communication is lightning fast. Every question was answered. I can’t say enough about the quality of the work. It is all so much more than I could even have dreamed of. They built me new steps, a retaining wall, a walkway, and installed a new sidewalk. The sides were cleaned up, weed barrier installed, and rock put in, it looks so clean where before it was an uneven hazardous mess. I have a new irrigation system, and they put down sod, plants, and high quality mulch. My new yard is not only beautiful, it’s practically maintenance free. Do not hesitate to hire Alvin, you will be so glad you did.

Alvin and his team gave us a fair rate for graveling our driveway, and was able to finish the job in 2 days! If my husband had to do it by himself it would take us 3 weekends to finish! Ladies you know what I’m talking about. We’re so happy with the results, that we’re already thinking of hiring his company for the next project for this summer!

I left a couple messages for Alvin and he came out and gave me a bid and worked with me on the project and the price. He started on time and finished on time and did all the work plus a little more that he and his crew said they would. I am left with an excellent stone wall with a second tier, a regraded front yard and refreshed landscape timbers plus some River rock, leftover to place around my garden.

His crew even moved some rocks that had nothing to do with their project, but were too heavy for me to move on my own. I highly recommend Alvin and his crew. You may have to leave a couple of messages and be patient for a few days, but it is worth the wait. Everything was done above board with clear communication.

Alvin's landscaping did a large project for us including irrigation, retaining walls and pavers. From the start, Alvin was punctual, professional and very easy to talk to. He explained the process, payment milestones and expectations. The crew was very kind and aware as I am a bit particular about how I like things. They finished a few days earlier than planned and the final results were amazing. I have also now started using him for small things and he always makes time to PICK UP HIS PHONE! If you're looking for quality work at a fair price, give this company a call.

Your crew did a nice job for us under less than stellar conditions. (Wet with some muddy spots) I sent them back with a few more things I would like to have estimated for completion in the coming months, and I hope you send the same crew back. Thanks Urban Roots.

Urban Roots Landcaping was wonderful to work with. Dylan was very responsive and kind. We had to navigate snowy weather and lots of rescheduling but Dylan was always professional and concious of our schedule. The team we had work on our property, Jose and Cruiz, were skilled and made quick work of cleaning up our whole property! They did a walk through with us afterwards and made sure to address anything we still wanted trimmed or cleaned. We couldn't be happier with the company and will be repeat customers for sure. Urban Roots Landscaping is amazing for your landscaping needs! They were actually our 4th contractor that worked on our landscaping within the past couple years as there was always something we were unhappy about with our previous landscapers. I expressed to them that I value communication greatly and they have been upfront and transparent about all work to be done. Shoutout to Charly and Jarred as the work done was superb! Charly asked me to come out multiple times to make sure they did what I wanted and everything was to my liking. They were also punctual and answered any of my questions with great knowledge and I appreciated any suggestions about things I didn’t know about. Overall they are pricier than other competitors, but the work speaks for themselves. Honestly what I appreciated most besides the good work was the positive communication and transparency with everything being done because there was always some form of communication that went wrong with the other companies. Also shoutout to Dylan as any miscommunication that we did have was promptly addressed and I appreciated that a lot. I highly recommend this landscaping company!

Jose & Mike did an outstanding job. Our yard had been overgrown for years and they and their team managed to prune, trim, weed, mow, lay mulch and clean it up in a short amount of time. It was a huge amount of work. They were very communicative, reliable and hardworking. It looks like a brand new yard!
