We have been up and running with our Invisible Fence for 18 months and couldn’t be happier. Tada was our installer and trainer and he was amazing with the dogs and patient with us as we learned the system. No physical fence but now we don’t even sweat letting our dogs out without a leash. They stay close but still have freedom to mill around the yard. No more searching on NextDoor to find out who may have found our wandering dogs. It is easily the best money we’ve spent in years. Nate did an amazing job adding in fencing around our new landscaping without disturbing the newness of the area.

Our wonderful dog is the greatest escape artist I have ever encountered. She has boundless energy and can chase cars for miles. After several escapes including one that involved a semi we finally contacted Invisible Fence of Portland. The entire team has been amazing, professional and above all come with wonderful suggestions and tips. Nathan and Cal (I hope I got the names right) had to come back multiple times to adjust the fence and even exchange her collar because she is so fixated escaping.

We can finally open the door and let her go in and out without watching her head for the hills running full speed. We're experienced dog owners but this girl gave us a run for our money. She is finally the great dog I always knew she could be!

The tools are easy to use and I feel have literally saved her life. I cant thank you enough and wish we had called sooner.

The Invisible Fence staff (Pam, Aaron, and Nathan) have been amazing throughout this process. Pam walked us through the steps and made sure all of our questions were answered fully. Both Aaron and Nathan have done incredible jobs with installation and training our stubborn puppy. They gave us helpful tips on what to do in between training sessions. I highly recommend them to all pet owners.

We had invisible fence installed about a year ago to keep our two black labs safe in the yard while we are at work. It has been the best experience! In the beginning, when the fence was first installed we had an issue with one of our dogs escaping. Aaron, Taylor and Pam all worked together tirelessly to come up with a solution to fix the problem. They came out to the house several times and eventually put in a completely new boundary system--without even charging us for the change! They also spent hours and hours training our two dogs to insure they stayed in the yard. Aaron continues to "be on call" for us whenever we have any issues, such as a line break (we have lots of property, and lots of moles!). Aaron always fits us into his schedule and fixes the problem immediately. He is the BEST!!! We love this product and the Portland team gives you the best customer service you can imagine. In fact, we love it so much that we plan to have an invisible fence installed at our home in Central Oregon in the future (with Aaron on the job, of course!). If you are considering a product like this for your pets, you can't go wrong with Invisible Fence of Portland--they are GREAT!

Pamela and Aaron from Invisible fence were honest and great to work with. We purchased the GPS version for our two large Great Pyrenees/lab mix dogs. Before the fence our dogs would wander off and we would have a hard time keeping them close by our homestead. After only three lessons the dogs have now learned their territory of over 7 acres. We feel much more secure in the knowledge that they are within their boundaries and safe. Thank you Invisible fence for giving us peace of mind!

We were so impressed at the amazing service and attention to detail. Pam was our trainer and she truly loves dogs and took the time to get to know each of our dogs personality and help train them individually and learn the system. She went above and beyond to answer our questions and make sure we were all comfortable and successful with our new fence. I love how I can contact her anytime and she gets right back to me and helps me solve any issues or questions. My 3 dogs love her too. This is our third system we’ve had after moving 3 times and the Portland invisible fence is hands down the best ! They are a top notch business and I would highly recommend them.

We had Invisible Fence install in January 2018 when our puppy was 9 weeks old. What a great experience. Nathan installed the wire without causing any disturbance to our landscaping. Aaron was great with training us and our puppy. Having the device to use inside our home was a great benefit. I can’t say how much having this has improved our experience with our puppy. She stays in the yard boundaries with or without her collar. It is so good to be able to be outside with her and not worry about her running into the street or going into our neighbor’s yards. It was expensive, but has been totally worth it! Better than I could imagine. Highly recommend working with these professionals.

Literally, the best money I've ever spent! Invisible Fence has been a perfect solution for our family and our new puppy. With an open landscape design, we didn't want to wall that in with a traditional fence to keep our dog safe. Plus, we have 3 boys that are in and out and always leaving the doors open. What peace of mind we now have. Invisible Fence has exceeded my expectations. The customer service has been impeccable, from Pam at the front end, to Nathan for installation, and most of all, Aaron who repeatedly comes to our house to check in and help train Nina with the system. I had the invisible fence for quite some time (14 years! ) which worked excellent with my lab, who lived to be 14...I now have a new dog, a 9 month old terrier mix, and started him with the training program. I'm happy to say that it is working PERFECTLY! In just a 2 week period, "Buddy" respects his boundaries, and I don't have to worry about him dashing out into the street in the front yard or the woods in the back! The two trainers, Nathan & Aaron, were great to work with and very knowledgeable about dogs. They kept me well informed about the appointments and arrived in a timely manner. I'm so pleased with Invisible Fence and highly recommend it!

We love Invisible Fence! It has been such a help in keeping our "very adventurous" Golden Retriever and now our Labradoodle puppy safe and secure in our yard. We have worked with Nate and Aaron and they were both so helpful with our dogs and their respective personalities. Our puppy is a little reactive and both were awesome at helping him stay calm during training. I highly recommend this solution, especially for those dogs who can escape traditional fences. The invisible fence works!

We have a great experience! Nathan B set up the entire 5 acres parameter and did initial teaching with great attention to detail and a kind generous personality. Nathan loves animals and we got a lot of extra teaching on side which we really appreciated with our puppy lab. Aaron came out and finished up training in one day, again great guy too and really patient with our puppy. We have really been very happy with our invisible fence giving us peace of mind our energetic happy dog is safe while alone outside. Thank you Nathan and Aaron! And Pam too for getting paperwork started and giving us great reasons to invest in invisible fence.

have worked with many of the Invisible Fence techs over the years, most recently with Cody. They have been consistently amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and generous with their time. Relationships are really important with these fences as you get new pets, reconfigure your yard, need remedial training. We are very confident knowing they are there when we need them.

****UPDATE****
we've added our cat to the system and I'm happy with how well he responded. He's still a kitten and I think that helped to start him early. However, the Aaron I mention in my review below is NOT the same Aaron that is now with the company!! My neighbor was sorely disappointed when she asked for Aaron (at my recommendation) and did not get who we were anticipating, not to mention being slightly dissatisfied with his level of service. All in all, still a great system and I still recommend them!
Original review: We have 3 dogs of various sizes on an acre of property. Trying to find a suitable fencing option that was not only cost effective but would be attractive to look at without blocking our views was impossible. I was hesitant about the invisible fence, worried the corrections would be all the same- I was impressed and happy to learn that each collar is absolutely personalized for each individual pet, not a one size fits all correction.
Pam came out to give us an estimate and explained how the system works, she was great at giving us options and communicating with us in a timely manner. I had mentioned to her that one of my dogs (shepherd) is not good with men, and she made sure the trainers were aware and cautious, but it didn't prevent them from doing their jobs well.

When the installation and first training happened with Nate, he was professional and courteous, and gave us good training tools to get them used to the new boundaries. A bummer about the first few weeks of training is you shouldn't have your dogs outside off leash until they learn the new boundary- which was a slight inconvenience for me having to take 3 dogs outside on leash separately, but overall definitely not a deal-breaker. I was happy with the overall service and program up to this point.

At the time of our second training this company took things from good, to amazing- and that is all thanks to Aaron. Not only did he explain the levels of correction to me and adjusted their collars accordingly, he took the time to get to know my dogs, to understand their individual behaviors and patterns to better set their correction levels. He took his time with my shepherd to make sure she felt comfortable with him, and she warmed to him almost immediately. Even though he gave me a lot of information that day, I am so happy that he took the time to really make sure I understood not only how the system worked, but my dog's behaviors and triggers. I felt more like his approach to our training session was not only about the fence, but about training in general. He was already scheduled for our third training session, and I have since requested him personally and will continue to request him if we need it, especially now that he has rapport with my shepherd.
On our third training, my shepherd dog was really put to the test as Aaron and I walked up to a neighbor with another dog and started casually chatting. She sat within her boundary (right at the edge- she's always pushing that!) and although she never quite relaxed she stayed where she was supposed to!! It was a huge improvement to her previous behavior which would have included her running up to the neighbors barking and possibly scuffling with their dog, scaring my neighbors! Not only was I really excited, so was Aaron! You can tell he was genuinely celebrating her achievements, and really cared about our dogs.
They say most pets take to the fence after 3 trainings; We have required 4 and might need a 5th. They have come out happily, and have never made me feel like it's been a burden or an inconvenience, just reassuring that some pets just need extra training. Our chocolate lab took to the system right away, and probably only needed 2 trainings. Our shepherd and mini american eskimo required 4.
I have already recommended this system to friends, and will continue to do so. It has been a life saver to not worry one of our pets will escape and run into the road or chase our neighbors!
