Matt and his crew came out and took care of a few trees for us. Two removals with stump grinding. And two that needed some complex maintenance. Big fir the needed some very large limbs removed right on top of a couple houses. Watching the rope work and rigging was impressive. Would definitely hire again.

M & R Tree Services did an outstanding job of pruning our very overgrown cherry tree in our front yard, and a Japanese maple in our back yard. Before and after pictures of the cherry tree is shown. Matt was very responsive each time I would reach out to him. He made time to come by the house after he gave the bid a few days prior and he explained everything to us. The trees turned out just the way he told us they would. Thanks M & R!! 🍻

Matt and team were awesome cleaning up my fruit trees today prepping for spring time growth.. they also trimmed the Japanese maple so when it flowers it will look awesome. Cleaned up butterfly bush and removed the English ivy bush. They were on time, friendly and communication was wonderful.. highly recommend these guys if you need work done.

We highly recommend M&R Tree Services. Today Matthew removed a 35’ Deodora Cedar for a reasonable price. He and his crew were on time, very efficient, and left our yard as clean as he found it. Matthew was courteous and thoughtful, explaining each step of the process before he began. Our concern had been that there could be damage with our neighbors property—he was extremely careful and none occurred. We will use his company again if we need any more tree work done.

Excellent service! Matthew is experienced and had all the right equipment to get my job done! Recently had a huge Leland Cyprus tree cut due to the height and thickness. It was growing so close to my home and neighbors house. Cleaned up stump and whole area! Highly recommend!

Matt and his personel were top notch. They were punctual, organized, friendly, and efficient. And by the end of the workday they provided a superior service.
I am going to have them do more work for me in the near future. I told my neighbor what an excellent job they did and she is going to hire them as well. My other neighbor also asked for their info. for future work on his property.
If you want to hire a company that takes pride in their work, does what they say they're going to do, and isn't owned by a multinational conglomerate, Matt and M+R tree service is the way to go. I will not have anyone else do my tree work from here on out. There should be a 10 star rating available for exceptional companies such as M+R tree service as well their owners.

I highly recommend M&R Tree Services. The entire process from beginning to end was so smooth. Great price, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff. Matthew and his crew did an excellent job! I recently contracted M and R Tree Services to take down some big trees and split into firewood sizes.
Also involved was some stump grinding and branch chipping.
Matt and his crew arrived on site when he committed, to the minute.
My first observation was the A-1 condition of the equipment Matt brought in!
Matt laid out the work program to his crew in good order. He also the importance of safety to his crew!
Matt's crew consisted of younger guys who approached the job with vigor and a good attitude!
All original items specified in M and R's quotation were completed in good order. Other items outside of the original specifications were negotiated with Matt fairly and in a professional manner.
Matt's crew cleaned up the work sites in good order and to my satisfaction.

In all sincerity M and R is the best contractor I have ever hired for this type of work!
On a basis of 1 to 5 satisfaction gauge I would give M and R a high 5. As far as I am concerned, I would give Matt and the crew a6 if it could be done!

After compiling a list of arborists and their prices in my area, I was recommended Matt with M&R Tree services. Our project was the removal of a 100+-year-old dogwood (I think it was ~4' diameter at the base) next to a house and power lines and grinding its massive stump.

Matt was friendly on the phone, responsive, competitively priced, and flexible with his days of availability. He and his team were professional and strategic in their approach, telling us the phases of how the tree would be extracted. The team experience was very impressive. Hearing them discuss easy cutaway points and potential safety problems, and then putting it into action one phase at a time was a real confidence boost for me. Also, there was no lawn damage!

We didn't have plans for the wood that was too big to chip, but Matt and crew made every attempt to give the wood a second life with local woodcraftsmen. Matt went above and beyond to ensure a job well done. If you are looking for help with a tree, they 100% get my recommendation. This is the team you're looking for! :)

Matt and his co-workers were the best! They efficiently took down one of our trees and after the tree was down and chipped, they made sure the area was as clean as it was before they started. Wonderful to work with and very reasonably priced! My husband and I would highly recommend M&R Tree Services. We would give them 10 stars if we could.

We had a very good experience using M&R Tree Services. Matt and his crew did an excellent job trimming a very old , very large Douglas Fir tree that sits right on our lot line. Matt was timely responding to calls, arrived on time, and stuck to the quote. He did exactly what we asked for. Worked well with giving my neighbor and myself respectful helpful and professional communication and advice. It turned out better than we could have asked for. He was very carful to keep the tree balanced and healthy. He really listened to what we wanted done. They were also so careful with our yards and clean up. Only tree in my yard or I’d use them again without a doubt!

This service was the 3rd estimate I got for the removal of 16 tall (approx 80’) Douglas firs located along the back property line. Matt came in at $1k less than the next closest. He was very prompt and flexible in assessing the situation for the estimate. Outstanding crew! Knowledgeable, friendly, hard-working, professional. Upon tree removal, they ground all stumps to 14” below grade level per our request. He even ground an additional large stump and cut a large 17th tree trunk for free. Matt said he would try to save us the money from hauling most of the wood away (I only wanted to keep about 2-3 trees worth) by checking with people he knew and through social media. He was successful. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED HIS GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND! Definitely one of the best contracting experiences I have had in my 42 years of home ownership!

I accidentally called Matt thinking he was located on the peninsula. I’m so glad I did! He came out to bid the job, was lower than any other bid and did a fantastic job. I honestly thought this was a company who offered a discount if you wrote a 5 star review but it’s not! Matt and his crew did a huge job for me, 4 very large dangerous trees, one hanging over the roof of my two story house. My favorite thing about working with them? He sent me pictures and videos as the trees were being cut and kept me updated often. Couldn’t have been happier with that communication. Use this company if you’re on the fence. I’m very particular and a type A personality and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I did a lot of research using Microsoft Copilot, had two large conifers overhanging the fence and roof of my house and the neighbors and M&R came out as the recommended contractor based on reviews and quality of service.
They removed all the branches without any damage to any structures or landscaping. They cleaned up and even blew the debris off the roof.
Matt and the crew were professional and great people to do business with, prices are fair.

The owner who came out and assessed our trees was incredible! He was very knowledgeable and had great advice while also taking into consideration our feelings. He was very honest and fair with pricing.

The team of two arborists that came out to do the trimming were incredible. Dylan who was in the tree doing the trimming was very clearly exceptional at his job.
