Wish I could give 10 stars! From start to finish, Matt was super communicative and flexible. The team came to prune a street tree and take out another tree between property lines. Super clean, efficient and affordable. Call Matt and save his number for all tree-related needs.

Matt and his crew did a wonderful job trimming our very large honey locust trees and our decorative Chinese maple. The work was done as communicated, and I am very pleased with the results. Communication was excellent.

M&R Tree services did a fantastic job removing my elm tree and they were the least expensive quote I got from 5 différents companies.

After a frustrating experience with a franchise arborist, we decided to look elsewhere — and I found Matt. From start to finish, Matt was a true professional. No secretaries, no salesmen, no managers. Just Matt.
This hedge cedar row had been neglected for the better part of a decade by the previous tenants. It was a big job. Matt reduced the height by approximately four feet, and I’m sure the width was nearly double that. Matt and his crew were five-star professionals from start to finish.

M & R Tree Service did a great job for me at my rental property. It was a challenge with some fast growing Leland Cypress Trees from the neighbor’s yard but Matthew’s crew listened and did exactly what I wanted. Matthew promised me a fair and good bid and he gave that as well. My satisfaction was clearly an important objective for M & R. They did a great job and clean up was immaculate. I highly recommend M & R Tree Service and Matthew! I do not think you will be disappointed! Give them a try! I will use them again.

I bought a house with a huge tree that had never been properly maintained, and I was worried that it might fall on my house. There were dead areas that needed to be cleaned up, and the previous owner had done a hatchet job on it. It's a beautiful tree that provides lovely shade, and blocks the power poles and lines. I now feel confident the tree will be healthy and not a danger. Many thanks to Matt and his crew! I even got to meet Matt's dog, Maple the Corgi!

I found Matt, the owner of M&R Tree Services via a Google search, as we needed trees removed and stumps ground at two properties in Vancouver.

I received bids from several contractores, and part of my due diligence was calling references that were provided by each bidders. When I called Matt's references, one of the things that stood out was the every reference was eager to talk about what a great job M&R had done and how pleased they were with their skill, efficiency, and professionalism. In particular, one reference was a building contractor who explained that they had cycled through many other tree companies but once they found M&R Tree Services they now send all their tree work Matt's way.

After completing the work on our two properties, I can definitely see why M&R's prior customers were so happy with their work.

Matt and his crew were a joy to watch. They are very efficient and skilled, and although they were fast, they were also careful to plan each operation so that it was done safely and accurately. The coordination and communication within the crew was excellent.

Matt was very reasonable to work with on both jobs and his communication was great. He did everything he said he was going to do, and went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right.

Beyond all these positives, Matt's prices were reasonable relative to the other bids I received.

As far as I'm concerned, from here forward I plan to call M&R Tree Services for any other tree work and I've given out Matt's contact information to other neighbors since our jobs were complete.

I really appreciated how well Matt’s team worked together. They did a GREAT JOB pruning our maple & flowering pear trees. They followed the clean-as-you-go concept, & was 100% safety conscious!! And did a thorough cleanup afterwards. I highly recommend M&R Tree Services.

Amazing service! I was “stumped” when it came to dealing with this tree. May came out and educated me on the health of the spruce, and he explained exactly what could be done about it. At a date and time that was convenient, the crew came out and tidied up everything in 3 hours.
I will definitely call them back out to help with that bamboo next.

Matt and his crew did an outstanding job removing two very large trees that extended over our condo units. This was not an easy project — they had to work carefully around buildings, roofs, and nearby property — and they handled everything safely and professionally from start to finish.

Their pricing was very fair, communication was excellent, and the crew clearly knew what they were doing. They were careful, efficient, and left the area cleaned up afterward.

You could tell safety was a top priority throughout the entire job, and they completed some very difficult work without causing any damage. I honestly can’t say enough good things about them and would absolutely recommend M&R Tree Services to anyone needing tree work done.

Vancouver Tree Specialists did an amazing job wrangling my overgrown property. Jonathan was prompt in responding to my request for a quote and right on time. He didn’t bat an eye when I wanted it revised for parts that I thought I could do myself and then switched back to the original scope of work because some things are better left to the professionals. He and Peter worked hard all day taming the arborvitae that hadn’t been trimmed for about 10 years and taking out a few volunteer trees that had taken root in the backyard and other various trimmings. I can walk under the maple tree in my front yard again without ducking and it looks so pretty! I can’t believe they finished everything in just 1 day!

Jonathan did an outstanding job removing our large flowering pear tree that had been damaged last spring. He also gave us great advice on a few trees in the backyard that we’re struggling.

Great guys! We hired them to cut down a fully mature locust tree in our back yard over our second floor deck, part of the roof, and next to the swimming pool. I was nervous about the deck railing and the amount of debris that would get in the pool, but they never touched the deck and nothing ended up in the pool. They were the lowest bidder and did a fantastic job. Cleaned up after themselves, and were very efficient. Absolutely no complaints, will definitely use them again!

During the January 2024 storm, our 120-foot fir tree fell on our sloping property. Vancouver Tree Specialists owned by Jonathan Thomas came highly recommended by a team of realtors. We had several bids and chose Jonathan. Several arborists would not haul away the wood due to our slope. I would highly recommend Vancouver Tree Specialists for your tree pruning, maintenance, and removal services.

This company did an amazing job at my house! They were extremely professional, punctual and very mindful of my property around where the job was taking place. They topped some extremely tall arbavidas that I had in my backyard. They knocked it out in half a day which was extremely impressive. The quote was very reasonable and I felt like I got more than I payed for. I will be using these guys for all of my arborist needs in the future and recommending them to my friends.

These guys are great professionals. We had a dead 90-foot tree in our backyard snd they had it down and cut up snd everything cleaned up in less than three hours. They worked non-stop with no breaks and everything went as promised. We could not have been more pleased.
