I was a project manager for a few years, dealt with a plethora of contractors and Simply Snow and Lawn has honestly been one of the most professionals services i've had the pleasure of working with.

Alex is very friendly and flexible with requests and his response time is impeccable. I live at a co-op under MCC and decided to contract Alex after seeing his cheap price and professionalism.

After the head of the MCC maintenance coordinator met with Alex to complete the job I had contracted him for, the MCC office decided they will be using Simply Snow and Lawn for all their landscaping needs from here on out .Highly highly recommend!

Simply Snow and Lawn is a locally owned business. Very reliable. I have been a customer for several seasons. It's not too early to think about lawn care and the many other services the company offers. Spring is just around the corner.

This was, by far, one of my favourite jobs I've held over the years. The owners are a joy to work for, they work super hard, and love what they do. " Landscaping done right" is the company motto, and it is true. The best landscaping company in the Madison area. Check them out! You won't be disappointed! Miss you guys (and gals)!!!

Simply Snow and Lawn has been taking care of our management company's lawn and snow needs for a few years now. I recommend them to our owners because of their consistent good service. Great company to work with, and Alex (the owner) is a very hands-on, detailed guy.

So happy that we were referred to SS&L to help with some landscaping/grading issues. They were incredibly responsive in communication, friendly, honest and great to work with. The job was completed in the time frame that they said it would be which was great timing since it was finished right before the torrential downpours of August/September 2019. And our basement stayed dry! They also left the job site picked up/clean. Thanks again!

We moved into a new house in Sun Prairie and I promised my kids we'd have a backyard hockey rink. The slope of the yard was too steep so I reached out to Alex at Simply Snow and Lawn. Alex was very responsive in communications and his crew worked hard over 3 days, bringing in over 10 dump truck loads of gravel/soil, to get the yard level. His crew worked hard, the cost was fair and I am very happy with the results. My kids will be happy - we'll be skating in a week. Thanks again Alex!

I reached out to David on Facebook Marketplace about a face cord of wood for pick up. He was able to give a solid time to stop at his shop and even helped load. Smooth and easy transaction, great price and good wood!

Simply Snow and Lawn LLC exceeded our expectations for our large scale back yard renovations. Their team was creative in helping us to come up with a vision with how we wanted our backyard to look by actively listening to our interests and creating a unique 3D design plan. They made this plan come to life with high quality work with hardscaping. Their work was detail oriented and efficient. They were careful with grading and expanded our lawn into the woodsy getaway space we were hoping for. Hayden communicated quickly and professionally regarding timelines for the project. He was upfront about any delays in service due to the unpredictability of inclement weather and came up with a plan for when he and his crew were planning to come back to complete the project. Simply Snow and Lawn LLC was also kind and responsive when working with other contractors that were involved on the job site. The crew was polite and always ensured to clean up the job site tastefully before leaving for the day. Simply Snow and Lawn LLC was transparent and fair about pricing. Alex and the team do amazing work, they're extremely professional and very dependable. I use them for all of my lawn and snow maintenance needs - and I've referred countless friends & family to them over the years. They're the best!

I've been using Simply Snow & Lawn for lawn services for several years now, and they do a great job. I still do my own snow removal, but have kept them on call when we have traveled -- just in case. And finally, when I wanted a gravel pad prepared to install a garden shed on, and everyone else I contacted said it was too small a job, SSL stepped in and did a great job!

Alex did a great job at our condo association with new rocks and black edging. On time, on budget, and a perfect job. Thanks

TL:DR -> Property damage, terrible communication and lost my dog twice.
I'm legitimately surprised that this place is still in business. I've been a customer for over six years now and every time I interact with the office its like the first time they've communicated with me. Over the past two years they've done over a thousand dollars in damage to my septic field and holiday/landscape lights due to recklessness. I have FOUR signs on my gate to keep the doors closed and latched because I let my dog out in the yard, and twice this last year I had to spend an hour searching for him after he escaped a wide open gate. So, if you're up for holding the hands of both the owners and the crews that work on your property, give them a call. Apparently they've yet to discover the written word because no one remembers specific things about my property. The two stars are for the only bright point of the whole outfit: the guy who does the fertilizing. He's exceptionally considerate and communicates well.

My wife and I just recently built a new house and I contacted SS&L a couple of months before it was finished to get an idea of pricing for all the work that needed to be done with the yard. Alex got back to me right away to setup a meeting at the house to discuss everything I needed. I had contacted another company for a quote as well and all they did was send me a price based on the plot map. Alex and his crew were amazing to work with and accommodating to the things we wanted and the changes we would make mid work. We are super happy with work they did and can't wait to fully enjoy our yard next year! It was great to work with a company as nice and professional as SS&L. I would recommend them to anyone needing work done for their yard and will continue to use them for future projects!

Driver cussed me out several times on the road and attempted to swerve me out of my lane into the grass.

1/10/2025. Driver in company-issued white salt truck tailgated me. I was going 30 in a 25. I slowed down to 25 and the driver pulled up next to me when the single lane turned to a double lane.

The employee is a liability on the road. He can’t keep his composure while operating a vehicle so I wouldn’t trust them with my property.

We had a bunch of native plants and weeds that just got out of control and was not helping curb appeal at all. We had tried to remove them ourselves for about three years but were not successful. Alex and his team came in and in one day removed everything, leveled it, laid grass seed, and created a nice area of plants against the house that are much more maintainable and pleasant to look at.

Austin & Antwon replaced an old railroad tie retaining wall with a beautiful brick wall. They did a great job, were easy to work with and I would recommend them.

I haven't met the young men who cut our grass, but they did an outstanding job. The grass was VERY long and they kept working on it until the large clumps were hardly visible. They also did a great job edging. Thank you Western Landscape!!

We are very happy with our fertilizer treatment from Western (through Proscapes). Keep up the good work!

We used Proscapes (Western) again for more landscaping projects. They expanded a boulder wall on the other side of the yard, installed a crushed granite walkway that wraps around the front and side of the house, and set up more perennial garden beds. Ps they warranty all plants for a year so we have that piece of mind. Plus they accommodated existing plants we wanted to keep. Finally we had planned to put in a second flagstone walkway, but mid project we pivoted and they instead created a full flagstone patio. It looks so amazing next to our deck! The onsite team was fabulous. The guys showed up when expected and stayed long days to get the job done. They really helped us design and produce a yard we completely love. We know we'll use them again.
