Landscaping reviews in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin

Villani was outstanding to work with. They adjusted their schedule to match mine. The workers were cordial and excellent workmen, very polite and very helpful. Mark was extremely helpful in the planning stage and was a delight to work with. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. A great company with terrific people.

Extremely satisfied with the work done by Vilani and managed by Aaron! We had an absolute mess in our back yard and the team came in and put in 3 hard worked days to get it to where in needs to be. Everyone who we came in contact with throughout the process was extremely professional and wasn't afraid to work hard to make sure we were happy by the end of it. Thank you Aaron and the team who worked with us!

Villani designed and installed retaining walls, a paver patio and planted hundreds of plants and seeded the lawn for our new home. We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out! The crews were highly professional, and trained at their profession. Their work was meticulous and they left the site clean and tidy every day.

We had a BEAUTIFUL patio installed by Villani Landshapers in August of 2024. They also replaced and repaired our retaining wall for our driveway. We live on a very steep hill and the job was not easy. Paul was very responsive and helpful throughout the project. His staff was very professional and hardworking. The job was completed on time and on budget. We absolutely love our new patio and the additional living space it's created. We are also happy to have a safe, stable driveway. We highly recommend Villani Landshapers.

Villani was contracted to install landscaping at a new construction site. Initial installation was completed in May 2017. Soil preparation was not consistent with architect’s specifications. This was brought to the project manager’s attention at the time and was ignored. Numerous plants died by August 2017 and were replaced at our request and under warranty. More plants died over the winter. In May- June 2018, extensive communications including onsite meetings were required to get Villani to agree to replacement of additional plants and extend the warranty another year. Villani commited in writing to replace the plants by fall 2018. This was not done, despite our again contacting them.
Villani is a family owned business. When I contacted the President in writing on multiple occasions, he would refer the matter back to the project manager, who’s approach was part of the problem. Our contract was in excess of $17,000 and it was our hope that the President’s involvement would lead to a different perspective, but that did not happen. The project manager was argumentative, frequently uncommunicative, and blamed us for the problem.
We had another landscape company replace the plantings in July 2019.
Senior management apathy, poor communication, poor installation, and broken promises were the sum of our experience. Let the buyer beware. -
We live in St. John's Estates. Villani is the designated landscape company. Despite an unacknowledged voicemail message to the company and multiple communications to our HOA and its promises to address the situation over the last several months, a pile of mulch dumped at the Oakwood Drive entrance to the development remains just that -- a pile, which has now begun to sprout other growth. This bed is also supposed to include plantings, SUPPOSED being the operative word. Given our increasing frustration (and a measure of embarrassment) at this situation, Mr. G will be spreading this mulch. A simple raking won't do as this material has been soaked by rain; so, it will need to be opened out with a shovel before any dispersing can be accomplished. Additionally, even upon multiple reminders, the Villani workers cannot seem to grasp the concept of mowing to the well-identified boundary (flags -- pretty obvious stuff) behind our house. We wouldn't recommend them to service a landfill.

Our condos were charged $8,000 to $10,000 for years for tree trimming that was never done. Trees are planted with no water ring (per Landshapers' own instructions) even in a berm making it impossible to water enough for the trees to live. The trees died in months and they would not replace them. Landshapers blamed us as our daily watering was apparently not enough. We planted 20 trees and shrubs in the same berm and not one died. Snow removal resulted in lawn repairs every year as they could not seem to stay on the road or driveways. Grass cutting was also terrible.

I would like to take a little time to tell how grateful we are about our new patio. After getting 3 or 4 designs and proposals we went with Villani Landshapers out of Menomonee Falls. Their prices were competitive and dealing with Paul Villani was a pleasure. Whatever we wanted or changed he was agreeable to and the crew sent to do the work was incredible. Nobody stood around with nothing to do. These guys worked hard! No standing around leaning on a shovel handle. Thanks again Landshapers.

I love Villani Landshapers! They are one of the best contractor/ companies we have ever worked with!! We had our patio redone. They did a kitchen, tv wall, fire pit, rebuild our retaining wall, spruced up the landscaping, and added lighting everywhere. It’s a huge space and they designed it well! They made the project easy for me and it looks amazing! Villani Lanshapers were so awesome at making sure we were happy! I could rave about them all day! The space turned out better than I could have imagined!

I have had Villani Landshapers contracted for many years for lawn and snow removal at Dickson Hollow senior living, and they have been excellent. Even in tough weather conditions when any contractor would be stretched thin, they always make an effort to communicate well and respond to any concerns I have. I would personally recommend Landshapers to anyone in need of a responsive and well-equipped lawn and snow contractor.
Also, a special shout out to Justin Kolvenbach and Ian Thomas for being great representatives of their company. Thanks for the amazing service, guys! -
