We used Landcrafters in the fall of 2023 for three projects: relandscaping our driveway center circle, fixing a drainage problem on our patio that caused basement leakage and overseeding a heavily shaded area of our backyard.
We were pleased with the results. They were creative, responsive and easy to work with. I would hire them again.

LandCrafters was great to work with on our project. Kayla, our designer, really listened to what our priorities were and made sure to incorporate them into the design. At the same time she added her own ideas about the layout and what plants would work best in shady vs. sunny areas.

We recently had LandCrafters update our front sidewalk from concrete to bluestone. From Dave's design, to the project manager Kyle, and the entire crew that worked on the project, we we thoroughly impressed. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, friendliness, and ability to keep the site tidy over the course of the work was really appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend LandCrafters if you are looking for great landcape artists!

Landcrafters helped us design and build two separate projects at our house over two summers. Our designer, Dave Guthery, was a pleasure to work with. Not only was he knowledgable and talented, he listened to our needs and incorporated our comments on the design during the review process. The different teams working on the projects were professional and responsive, quickly fixing any minor problems that came up during the projects. I had a five-star experience working with Kayla and the team at LandCrafters to design and execute a patio with an integrated pergola and plantings. Kayla listened to my input, presented several design options, and modified the plan to accommodate my budget. Communication was excellent with this company. They showed up on time, exactly when scheduled throughout the process. The company even made accommodations to assemble the sourced pergola. I couldn't be happier with my new backyard space and plantings. These guys are total pros and conduct their business accordingly. We've been using LandCrafters for annual maintenance for 2 years now and they do a fabulous job. We have them come every 2 weeks.

LandCrafters did some repair work on the outside area of a brick paver patio that they laid down five years earlier. Happy to see them stand by their work years later.

I was so very pleased with my LandCrafters experience from start to finish. I had contacted several other Milwaukee area landscape companies and LandCrafters was the most responsive. The designer (Kayla) was amazing, considering my wants/needs and the practicality of my space as well as my budget. All of the teams working on my project were polite, friendly, respectful and extremely hard working. The team lead (Kyle) had consistent communication, providing updates when needed and checked in almost daily with me and his teams. They worked quickly and efficiently. Landcrafters literally transformed a backyard that was in desperate need of renovation to something that is both functional and beautiful. The best part of the project was that the company helped me tier my services so that I can add on and enhance my yard as time and budget allows.

Kayla did a great job listening to our thoughts on our backyard. She was very responsive when we provided feedback on the original design and returned with a design we both loved. When the work started, the crew was easy to work with and accommodating when our life interfered with their workspace. I was pleased with how the crew kept the yard tidy and accessible throughout the project, and the duration of the project was on target with promise time. This was definitely an expensive project, but by the time they were done, we agreed that it was money well spent. We highly recommend LandCrafters and Kayla!

It was a smooth process working with Dave Guthrie on the project. Excellent workmanship. The work was completed as scheduled. A big project for a small space. A big thanks to both crews.

Enjoying our patios and plant beds and trees and finally our lawn - all thanks to Landcrafters. Mark McGinnis made it all come together in the end. He is a fantastic project manager! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the multi year relationship and service I’ve received from David Guthery, his excellent teammate Gabriel, and the entire Landcrafters team I’ve met or worked with. David has kept his word, solved issues, helped me avoid issues, and has continued to deliver on what I’ve contracted with him. Gabriel has treated my family, home, and property with respect as he and his team have executed extremely well on a relatively long residential project with many moving parts. Issues always come up, how efficiently Gabriel and David have stepped in to solve anything of concern, is a great reflection of why I have gone back to Landcrafters each time through now 7 years of being their customer. We are so pleased with our experience working with Mike! Not only does he have incredible creativity and vision, but his knowledge and expertise guided us every step of the way. Our backyard came with many challenges that other landscapers couldn’t wrap their heads around, but Mike not only understood it—he created a clear, comprehensive plan that solved all of our drainage problems. He is kind, clever, and incredibly hard-working. A big shout out as well to his amazing crew, who worked tirelessly to transform our backyard into not just a functional space, but a truly magical place that makes our house feel complete. I hired LandCrafters to redesign my sloped front yard, which has sandy soil, full sun exposure, and required low-maintenance plantings. These are challenging conditions, but I made my requests clear from the beginning.

Two years later, the results have been disappointing. The yard now requires constant weeding, and many of the plants recommended and installed have either died or declined significantly. Of the 11 shrubs planted, 3 are already dead, and 4 more are struggling or smaller than when planted. Of the 11 decorative fescues, only 6 still survive, some barely. Only one plant has grown enough to provide meaningful coverage against weeds.

Despite investing several thousand dollars, my yard is already in need of another costly makeover. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend their services.

Landcrafters did an amazing job turning our backyard into an enjoyable oasis. Dave was excellent in communicating progress of our project. Gabriel and his team were friendly hard workers that do amazing work! I would recommend Landcrafters to anyone wanting quality work.
