I have been using Shoemaker pool service for the last 5 years for water testing, buying my chemicals, even for replacement parts for vacuum and salt cell.

The team is very professional. They quickly analyze your water, provide you with a printout of what you need, and never pressure you about buying chemicals. There prices are a bit more than say a Walmart or Home Depot but you are buying high quality products and they provide the water testing for free. They have earned the bit more than a large chain store.

Additionally, it is so much fun to walk in there and look at pool tables, hot tubs, etc.

I always thought because they have a nice building that they must be expensive. They are not any more expensive than any of the other pool service companies and, in fact, I have found them to be less expensive on expensive items like a salt cell or parts for a vacuum.

I needed a corner pocket screw for my Olhausen Pool Table so I emailed Olhausen and they put Nate from Shoemaker Pools in touch w/ me. Nate was very helpful on getting the part I needed for my table. Due to my work schedule he was even offering to stay late if needed for me to get there to get my part. I’ll definitely use them again when needed.

Last year I called them to do an education summary. The company that built my pool is now out of business, go figure. They quoted me one price on phone then after he came and instructed us on pool maintenance I received a bill for another $135.
This year I called for pump repair/replacement. We were quoted one price that was to include new salt cell and replumb so we could maintain salt cell.
The tech that came out said “oh, I don’t know anything about salt cells I’m just here to replace pump.” I was not hone my son was there and did not know the whole agreement.
When my daughter in law called back to discuss she was told no the quote was for pump replacement only. If we had repaired pump it would have included the salt cell.
This is totally unacceptable.
I will not use them again!!

Shoemaker Pools jerked me around for a year and for most of that year they wouldn’t answer my phone calls or emails! For one year, I had no pool at all. They charged me several thousand and did nothing to fix the problem! Regret I had to give them a single star!

We have always used Shoemaker pools for years. Starting with Mike the owner over the years they have provided us with excellent service. Only one call to ask for extra service if we have a storm or if we are having a special event and it is take care of. You could not ask for a better pool service. Now Landon is helping us but I suspect Mike is still around. This is truly a wonderful family business providing excellent service.

I previously used another service that was so frustrating I did not know what to expect from Shoemaker pools. I was surprised at how responsive they were returning their calls within 48 hours. They were able to resolve an issue in less than a month that the previous company couldn't resolve in a year. They treated me more like a friend than a random customer. I have called them every year to open and maintain my pool for the last 3 years and have yet to be disappointed. I highly recommend giving them a call for whatever your pool needs may be.

Shoemaker Pool Service has been a reliable company for our pool maintenance for several years now. They take care of everything we need including any repairs. Every week, they send us an email confirming they have completed our service including a photo of our nice, clean pool.

Yesterday, I reached out to Shoemaker Pool Service for a bid on pool installation. I disclosed up-front that I was pretty sure the job would be cost-prohibitive based on the issues we have with access to the rear of our homes in my neighborhood as well as the rumored massive amounts of underground rock our community sits on.

Though Shoemaker Pool Service is booked up all the way until April of next year and unable to bid on my project at this time, Mark Shoemaker sent me the most comprehensive email response I've EVER received as a non-paying customer. I've received more dismissive emails from a banker who I was actively working with to close a refi loan on our home; one of the biggest transactions of my life.

He told me everything I was looking to find out without even knowing which specific questions I needed to ask. He told me what to look out for in the industry at-large. He told me what to look out for when taking bids. He told me exactly how the process SHOULD work and which questions to ask... and he did all of this for a non-paying, faceless guy in the middle of his busiest season of the year.

I'll end it there because this is longer than I wanted it to be but I figured if Mr. Shoemaker took the time to do for me what he did yesterday, I can certainly take the time to spread the word about a company right here in our back yards that knows exactly how to not only do business, but how to do GOOD business.

Get in touch with this company if you need a pool, hot tub, grill, pool table, or game table. If their execution of a project is as thorough as their explanation of a project, you simply cannot go wrong.

If you are looking for a new pool service company Shoemaker should be first on your list. From my first contact Landon and his team have been incredibly responsive. They do what they say they they are going to do every single time. My service professional is David and he is caring and considerate. He does beautiful work and always goes over and above what is expected. For reference I have a pool, hot tub and fountain. They have never looked better!

Whoever the Hispanic guy driving a company branded truck on highway 280 the evening of 2/26 does not care about anyone else around him. He cut me off and two other drivers without even using blinkers, nearly caused multiple accidents, and tailgated the car in front of him constantly. If you're going to represent your company on a vehicle, make sure whoever is behind the wheel can drive without endangering others.

We received a service call because our hot tub was not heating. We got prompt service from a technician who was both knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend their services and products.

Cleanings were fine. Then things went sideways. They contacted me to tell me that my pump had failed and offered to replace it for $2000. I told them to hold off. I purchased an exact replacement for $600 and some PVC for about $10. It's about a 15 minute install which I did not have to do because my pump was fine. I turned it back on and it's been running fine ever since. They billed me a service fee for having checked by pump. I asked them to credit the charge given that their incorrect diagnostics of my pump caused me to make $610 worth of purchases. They refused. I paid it and fired them. You really find out who you are dealing with when things go sideways

Scott Fuller and the Shoemaker Pools team were great to work with and exceeded our expectations. The project was on time and within budget. There were no surprises. Would hire them again and can’t recommend them highly enough.

We needed a new sand filter for our pool and we called several local swimming pool companies but all of them acted too busy to get to us. Then we called Shoemaker Pool Service and everything changed. It was like hitting the Easy Button. The Shoemaker team showed up at our house 2 days later to survey, gave us quote the same day, and then installed sand filter a week later as soon as it came in. I would highly recommend Shoemaker Pool Service because they are very professional and courteous!

William showed up on time. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Shoemaker is my go to for pool service and supplies. Great company!

William was great. We had a communication error with our pump which was not caused by a typical problem. He called Jandy and between the two of them, the problem was corrected.
William was friendly, polite, and seemed to be truly interested in solving our problem.
