From the first consultation to the conclusion of my shower installation, the professionalism and work ethic was exceptional. Ben and Megan were outstanding. I purchased my home a little over a year ago and it was confirmed that the kguard gutters were installed on the home in 2019. All last year I noticed that water was not draining from the downspouts but instead was filling up in the gutters and pouring out on to the foundation. Upon personal inspection noticed that there are no drainage hole emptying in to a down spout or lower gutter connected to a downspout. Also, I had an inspection performed by another gutter company who stated many other issues with the installation and performance of the Kguard Gutters. Pictures are enclosed along with the Lifetime warranty information from the Kguard website.

Called the Birmingham, AL local Kguard authorized service and installation center and it has been nothing but a miscommunication to get someone out to service the gutters. When I finally was able to contact an actual person I was told that they were trying to get a hold of me and a service person had come out to the home. Unfortunately no messages were left on my voicemail nor did my home security cameras ever pick up that someone ringing the doorbell or pulling in to the driveway. I was advised that I would be placed on the visit list for today. I was told someone would call to confirm my appointment time. So far no voicemail or calls have come in to confirm. Stay tuned to see how this pans out.

Excellent customer service from the moment that I met Bobby York to the time when Justin and John finished the install. Knowledge of the product and efficient installation in one day was a pleasant experience. If you need windows I recommend Southern Industries Home Improvements.

I had my gutters replaced. We had tried having the screen filters put on the old ones, and they failed miserably, plus it was a nightmare getting rid of them. My in-laws had gotten the Ultimate Gutter Guard gutters put in their house several years ago, by this same company by the way, and when I saw how well they worked under all of their trees, I figured they would surely work on my house. The representative that got me started was Nathan, and he was great. Very attentive to all the details right down to the color, and he got me all set up with installation just a week out. The installation duo was equally great, even upon finding they had to work around a koi pond close to the house, plus how we had built our deck literally around the old downspouts. And I couldn’t believe how efficiently they were in getting everything done in one day. And now that it has finally rained a couple times in the midst of a drought, I can honestly say the gutters work GREAT! They are bigger than the old ones, which was an extra bonus; they look good; the water runs into them just like it’s supposed to; and all the leaves and nuts and other crud just roll right on over and off. So if you’re considering gutters or gutter “protection”, this IS the product to get, and Southern Industries IS the company to do it!

The pool that was installed is great - far beyond our expectations but there were some things that were not great at all. I will say we had two separate PMs (one was out for a little while during the install) and both were very responsive and helped where they could.

The sales cycle was okay - there were options we were not told about and only found out about long after the pool was installed - wireless robot vacuum or an upgraded heater, for example. Would have been nice to know all the options up front and not having a pool before didn't know to ask.

The crew that cut the stone did not use a wet saw - stone dust everywhere, including all over our screened in back deck. Spent 7 hours on a Saturday cleaning it after they were done only to have the PM call them back out to fix one of the steps - more dust and all the cleaning was undone. No offer to clean it up - just "I'll pass it along".

The crews we're pretty good but none of them spoke english making it very hard to communciate even simple things. The foreman for each group that came on site did speak english but they were not there often and we played the game of "telephone" if there was something we had a question about. Example - there was a row of tile that was laid crooked and we played charades and using Google Translate for 15 minutes trying to explain it was crooked before the mud set. Thought they understood only to get a call from the PM letting us know it was too hard to cut such a tiny tile. What?... Easily avoided if even one person on site can speak english for such situations.

We had 2 metal hose boxes broken, one had the handle snapped off and the other had the hose connection pulled free, presumably when they pulled the hoses around the house. 3 hoses total were trashed.

I also had a custom bird feader and pole destroyed - it was well out of the way and we could see where they just folded the pole in half and pulled it out of the ground, laying it in the exact spot it was pulled from - if it was in the way why didn't it move after it was pulled? The bird feeders that were hanging from each arm were smashed - nope, no offer to replace and a simple disregard for anything other than the pool install and completing the work.

We also had a hot tub installed. It was not leveled before they filled it the first time so we had to drain and refill once it was done.

Hopefully this will help out with others and items like the above can be addressed BEFORE they become an issue.
