The gentleman that came 1st day was very nice. He did not have tablets to drop in skimmers so he said he’d have someone stop by the next day. I’m not sure what all was done that required 2 hrs of service. There aren’t any tablets in skimmers plus pool is still filthy. Perhaps I misunderstood the service I was getting.

We had a wonderful experience with the selection and installation process for installing our new pool liner. Very professional service, on time for appointments. Very satisfied with everything, would highly recommend for installing a new pool liner.

This week was the 3rd time in 3 years I have had my pool totally screwed up by thier staff. Selling the wrong product and making bad suggestions at my cost. I had to drain half my pool today because they said I needed more stabilizer and it had plenty. This over stabilizlation caused a large out of balance of my pool waterp. I will never go by there again as they are totally ubreliable for accurate advice. Leslies in Hoover is 40 mins away but well worth the drive. Leslies offers professional accurate pool water readings and treatment advice from true professionals.

Wish we could do (1) star . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! A (Tommy) called after we replied to an invoice attempting to charge for full month of service when we didn’t get (1) visit due to POOR QUALITY SERVICE. Prior we spoke with a Jordan( very nice and great customer skills) the day prior and he advised he would review the photos - the tech WAS NEW: he was younger and he would get back with us concerning our issues- the next day this SAME YOUNG MAN pulled into our driveway of which we advised him we had an issue with his last visit and had contacted Jordan and didn’t want to resume until our issue was resolved. The tech said no problem and pulled away —NO SERVICES PERFORMED. Today Tommy called irrate, rude, and belligerent telling me due to our prior 4 complaints WE COMPLAINED TO MUCH and they would send a final invoice and cancel us.. Thankfully canceling our service was the biggest blessing however we refuse to be ROBBED for services not received. Reviews are very vital in the front ship of ANY BUSINESS ( small or large) and they assist paying customers to be made aware of companies whom fail to provide quality services and value customer service. Hope this helps someone whom values their hard earned money when selecting a company to service their huge investment such as an inground pool.

We just moved to Alabama and used this company while out of state. They provided a true disservice to my family, over-charging us and failing to render the service we needed and had hired them for. $1,200 to ‘service’ a pool that turned into a green pond 1 week after moving. They charged us $870 to replace the sand in the filter, forgetting that there was no chlorine in the water. After moving to the Birmingham area, we also realized they are significantly (e.g. 30-40% ) more expensive than local pool companies. We will never do business with them again.

PS: (in response to the owner's response)
1 - I diligently responded to all emails, as demonstrated to the owner in a follow-up email exchange.

2 - I gave authorization to carry out the work with no action on the vendor's side. It is absurd that you blame me for your poor communication with your employees.

Finally, your response is missing an APOLOGY. The only thing I read is "I'm sorry you felt it necessary to provide the review...", which is stated twice. Seriously? How about just a sincere apology: "I am sorry my company failed you but we still changed you for a service that was not provided"?

Very competent and prompt service. This company gets the job done and know what they’re doing.

I’ve been maintaining our 22,000 gallon, vanishing edge pool for 12 years one my own - the pool builder went BK and I had to complete start up and maintain.

As a result, I know how to repair and maintain the in-floor cleaning and Jandy salt system myself. I’ve tried a couple of other companies when I was out of town and needed help.

These guys came through for me - thank you!

After they opened my pool water was good for a few days then turned green.Took a sample to store and was told salt was way too high and I needed to drain some water and refill to dilute.I showed them a picture of my intellichol and was told that’s why I had red lights. They were red when they left. And I told them when I went to store. Would up draining about half of pool. Went by the store pay my several hundred dollar invoice and asked for someone to come out and try again called a week later and was told it would be at least another week. Months and months over $800 and green pool

    Owner
I also have spoken with them on phone and in person. I came in on June 28th and did an analysis and was told salt was 5000 and water needed to be drained to dilute. I did not add any salt or anything else to pool this year. I have done business for several years with swimming pool services . You have my name ,phone number, email and street address if you would like to discuss unfair review

They are so nice and helpful!
Very obvious they know what they’re doing. They Did NOT send me out with 5 millions chemicals and bad instructions on what to do with them, like I’ve run into at other pool supply stores.
And I was greeted at the door with an offer to help me get my baby stroller in, which was very sweet.

If you like simple projects turned nightmare, this is a post for you...

$3,000 spent on a simple re-tile job, months of frustration, damage to our property, and within months our pool looks far worse than it did before.

We now have additional significant damage as a result of them improperly attempting to do the job multiple times that we’re going to have to pay to have fixed (coping bricks separating from pad due to shifting due to multiple improper drainings). And of course we now have to pay someone else to do the tile job we already paid Swimming Pool Services for.

Swimming Pool Services drained our fiberglass pool twice (tried for a 3rd before I told them to stop) without first sumping (we have a sump line - they indicated they didn’t know what it was), they used no bracing any of the 2 times they drained our pool, and then left it empty during rainy days - look up ‘drain fiberglass pool’ to learn how terrible this all is. The whole time, they’ve dismissed our concerns via long drawn out email back and forths and continue to assert that they did everything correctly and are trying to help. After they failed to make things right, I requested a refund, which they’ve refused - they will only agree to keep sending guys out to redo portions of the job the same way that resulted in the problems that we have today. It's always worth mentioning that what was estimated to be a "2 to 3 day job" took more than a month - lots of no call/no show and terrible communication across the board. No thanks.

I’ve since spoken to multiple other local FIBERGLASS experts as well as the manufacturer, all of whom assert this was 100% NOT done correctly (with the owner and manager have simply dismissed this, acting as if we’ve only learned info from the Internet. Despite every other expert and resource saying SPS is wrong, SPS continues to assert that they are the experts, even having gone as far as attacking other local businesses work). I’ve been asked no less than 3 times “are you sure they were reputable?”. The manufacture literally put me on speakerphone so everyone could hear my story, to which they responded with gasps, “oh my” and “I’m so sorry”. The warranty manager actually said “it’s a good thing you didn’t have any remaining warranty because that would have definitely voided it - we wouldn’t touch it now”. I’ve also been told that the tiles, grout and adhesive used for the job are incorrect for this size/shape/type of pool, which is something that SPS vehemently argues against - I’ll attach some pictures of the current state of our pool so that you can be the judge for yourself.

The Manager (Dave) AND Owner (Glenn) will act as if they’re trying to help, but it’s seemingly just an act to keep things looking positive online (look here and at the BBB for examples). In conversations they remain friendly/polite, but will only offer to continue doing the very things that have led to us now having a damaged pool. I fully anticipate that the owner will follow up on all reviews acting as if they’ve tried to make things right, just as he seemingly does on all negative reviews, but their idea of making things right is continuing to do things incorrectly - ‘the customer is always wrong’, seems to be their approach to customer service. No thanks.

Unfortunately there’s a max character count for reviews, so I can’t share everything - though I will be elsewhere.

I personally wouldn’t allow these guys to put a bag of salt in my pool going forward.

    Update based on owner's claims:
    - The response, as expected, is full of misleading statements in an attempt to come across more helpful than is actually the case.
    - I turned them away ONCE, not several times. I turned them away because they refused to proceed with repairs without 100% draining my pool and indicated that properly bracing it was out of the question.
    - Notice he's not mentioning the 'remedy' that they proposed? Because they didn't propose a remedy. They said they would 100% drain my pool, and would not brace it - which is actually the opposite of a remedy.

This company did a terrible job cleaning/maintaining our pool. We had them do a green to clean in Jan and again in March and then started weekly cleanings at the end of March. The pool was not well cleaned during the second green to clean. I called each week to let them know that the bottom of our pool was still brown and the water was not clear and every week I got an excuse and a promise it would be handled. When the pool was still not clean in May I decided to double check that the work was being done as they stated. I will attach pictures of what they said they did and the actual work done. They were not doing almost any of what I was being charged for.
I gave them one more chance this week understanding that it is a busy season and they came once and did not get it clean and said it was all because we need new cartridge filters which they wanted $1,200-1,600 to replace (I will admit it is time to get new ones but this was not the primary source of the problem.) I took the water somewhere else to get a second opinion and the chlorine was 0 even with the pump running 24/7 @100% the new company had me come home and trouble shoot and the actual problem was that the salt cell was not being cleaned and the pool was not making chlorine. So I was paying to have the pool cleaned and maintained and told over and over it wasn’t on them when the truth was they weren’t doing what they were being paid to do. Please do not use this company or trust what they tell you.
The pictures below show what they said they did and the condition I found each of these things in right after they left after 2 months of “cleanings”. Also it says they backwashed the filters which is impossible when you have cartridge filters.

I decided a couple of years ago to start maintaining our pool myself, and we’ve been getting our water tested weekly here ever since. The staff is always welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. We purchase our pool supplies in bulk, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Overcharges and then harasses. Look, these people do an okay job of routine service. But they don't bother to tell you when they need to "fix" something, they just do it and then you get a bill for it. I had them close my pool - they did not provide me with a cost estimate prior to the work. They charged me almost 5 times what my previous guy charged me for the same service. They did not tell me upfront what the cost would be. Couple that with the fact they serviced my pool the day BEFORE closure and charged me for that as well. The line item on the closing states closing plus chemicals as one line item, then there is a second line item for chemicals. The day BEFORE closing, you know chemicals were added as well as part of the routine service which I also paid for. The service guy who cleaned the pool was unaware it was slated for closure the next day so obviously there is no coordination or communication within the company. The response I got when I asked for an explanation of their closing cost? "That's what we always charge." Two guys, about 30 minutes of work, a handful of chemicals (on top of what was done the day before) and I get a bill for almost $500. And I get a ridiculous explanation. Don't use this company.

Your reply tells me your staff is lying to you. There were absolutely NO QUOTES - why would I make that up? AND the charge was $475.00. I didn't make that up either. And I am never late on payments. Ever. My previous guy charged me $100 so your math is also wrong. I don't remove reviews. I make reviews in very rare instances when services are extraordinarily good or extraordinarily bad.
