Caleb did my fall maintenance on my units on 9/10/25. He was running late on his first job and called to let me know. When he got to my house, he was such a nice young man. He got right to work and explained everything to me. I highly recommend Caleb and Environmental Comfort!! I have used them for years and will continue to use them. They are the best HVAC service company!!!

ECS responded quickly to an issue with the downstairs unit. Kyler showed up in the rain and quickly diagnosed a crack in a 10 year old factory original valve. Being a long time customer (about 20 years), and on their bi-annual maintenance plan, they treated me more than fair. Work was completed quickly in pouring rain. Highly recommend them (I did with my kids), and their maintenance plan is a great idea. Trust me. Your loyalty is more than rewarded when you get into a tight spot. Thanks again to the entire ECS team.

The installation of our new HVAC system was flawless. The crew (Dewey, Rudy, Ryler, and Zane) left our home looking like they were never there. They were very polite and did a solid job with the installation. We will be using ECS in the future. Thanks!

We have been using ECS for over 10 years. Our technician, Kyler, was new to us but he performed maintenance on our two systems competently and cheerfully. Kyler also measured for adding TVA-recommended insulation and upgrades to our ducts. We had him working in difficult areas of the attic, which he did happily.

My family was out of AC going on 4 weeks. Environmental Comfort Systems came to replace my old hvac. Have had an excellent experience with this company. Both technicians Rudy and Cam were professional and installed my new hvac unit with ease. I look forward to working with them in the future. Thanks again guy's.

EDIT: My grandfather Robert Tudor was with this company for yrs prior to my need for their services. I've been in contact with their one employee and he's been very patient and helpful in answering my questions. Highly recommend them to anyone.

We bought an older historic house and we had some really bad issues with the unit freezing up when the heat was on. Cam came out and diagnosed it. It did have multiple issues but he was able to repair it successfully. We have signed up for their maintenance program and look forward to their excellence in service. Very happy and highly recommended!!!

Had an issue with my Trane system. Troubleshooting by Ethan determined that a new motor was needed. Motor was not available so decision was made to replace the furnace. Cam and Ryan brought the new furnace today. They removed the old furnace and installed the new furnace and thermostat. They checked all aspects of system functionality (heat pump heating/cooling and gas furnace function). They removed all trash, cleaned up after themselves and answered all my questions.
Cam and Ryan were very professional and courteous. I recommend them and ECS for your HVAC needs.
Trane not so much

I am 76 with fixed income. I am writing this negative review because of unreasonable, dishonest pricing charged by Environmental Control Systems (ECS), the owner is Rick Smith. I have had a maintenance services contract with ECS for over six years. On 6/15/24 the original starting capacitor (part) failed after 11 years. The part was replaced $153/part-$149/service call (was on a Sunday) totaling $302, no other trouble found. 14 months later 8/17/2025 (also a Sunday…wife and son have heat sensitive health issues), part failed again and was replaced $213.30/part-$213.30/service call totaling $426.60 with no other trouble found. I decided to see if I could get the part and replace myself if failure occurred again (6 screws and less than 10 minutes to replace). I checked locally and found the part for $30. I checked Amazon and found EXACT SAME PART for $12.58. ECS marked up part price by 1645%. Considering this info, I challenged the charges in a meeting with ECS. I was told that the “charge is what it is and that this is what they would charge anyone”. No upfront estimate was given and no consideration of shortness between failures or length of service agreement. I feel these charges are unreasonable and dishonest. This is not a BBB accredited business.

Caleb came out to do maintenance on my HVAC and he was so sweet and well mannered. He was on time and explained everything in words I could understand. He didn't try to sell me anything or try to con me into buying anything I didn't need. Outstanding young man! Will definitely use ECS again. Thank you guys!

Cam and Jazz were absolutely fantastic! They recently installed our new air conditioning unit and did a lot of additional work under the house - things I don’t even fully understand - but I know they handled it all with professionalism and skill. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly take great pride in their work. I couldn’t recommend them or ECS more highly. Excellent service from start to finish!

Allow me to start by saying I do not like people, in general. People coming to my house is even worse. So when Kyler arrived to do his work, I threw on my coat and went out there to watch him.

I am sure I made him uncomfortable, at first as I was asking questions. Kyler is a polite young man and despite my rather direct approach with him, he patiently explained what he was looking at, what the tolerances were and the readings he was getting. His transparent professionalism was exactly what I expect from people I do business with.

Clearly, Kyler knows his business and is an honest broker of services for his company. And a company who would recognize this young man's talents, provide training and put him out here on the street to do this work, is a company I applaud and support.

Highly recommend the company and hope Kyler comes back for our next service call as he restores my faith in people. Thank you for the honest, transparent and thorough service call!

We had a mini split system installed in our shop apartment. We love the Samsung units and the install was done neatly and professionally. The price was also very good. ECS just recently called and scheduled a free check in on our equipment and completed that service for us at absolutely no charge! We worked with Cooper, Kyler, Cam and Jazz. All were great!

1st time working with Kyler, ECS tech. He was very thorough and polite. He accommodated a few questions/concerns I had, and reviewed some notable findings he discovered. He took the time to address a concern, so we can monitor for changes. We also discussed several potential system remedies if this mitigation doesn’t last. Very thankful for this approach.

ECS is a great company with great employees. I’m never less than completely satisfied by their work and efforts to please.

I have known Keith Johnson for years, and have hired him on numerous occasions whenever I have had a heating or air conditioning problem. Keith has proven himself to be an extremely competent, fair and respectable tradesman. He has never hesitated to make a service call whenever I have needed him. I would highly recommend Keith Johnson in any situation. His rates are highly competitive, and his workmanship is superb.
