After a harrowing experience with another contractor that took my money and left me in a complete mess, I was reluctant. Derek had done some work for a friend, and she was extremely pleased. It took me 3 months to make the call. It’s a call I don’t regret making!

Derek came and brought his ‘people’. They assessed the damage left by the previous contractor and came up with a plan. I was nervous when work started…was this going to be another mistake? But quickly I knew I was in good hands!!

When you get that scheduling email and text that his team will be there at X time, they’re there. I immediately saw how this was different than my last experience. I could see it was a job being done right and I don’t even know construction. Derek and his team aren’t looking for you to have to replace something in a few years’ time, they are building something that’s going to last!

We’re 2/3 projects in and I couldn’t be happier with the work! But be prepared. He’s NOT going to cut corners, he’s going to be in constant contact with you, telling you exactly what is needed, keeping you updated on what to expect, when it’s happening…no BS, he wants it done right. I LOVE that!!! The amount of texts and calls throughout these 2 projects has been awesome! Derek definitely keeps you in the loop…it’s your home after all.

And his team….they are amazing!! So respectful. I couldn’t have had a better experience, even though I was so distrusting in the beginning because I’d been burned and ripped off.

Star Electric was great from beginning to end. They are professional, do good work, and prices were reasonable. What really impressed me was that I received a text and email confirmation letting me know 1) when Derek was scheduled to come out to look at the work and give me an estimate, 2) when he was in route, 3) when the work was scheduled to be done, 4) when they were in route to do the work, and 5) when it was complete. Nowadays it's hard to find that level of professionalism. I'll definitely be calling them for any of my future electrical projects.

I had 5 fans installed in my home by Star Electric and they did an excellent job. The electrician was professional and arrived earlier than expected. Pricing was very fair and was exactly what was quoted to me. I was so impressed with Star Electric that I decided to have additional electrical work done. Derek took the time to explain and answer all my questions. He also gave me ideas on what would work best for my situation. Star Electric will be my go to for all electrical work!

First Electric really should be your first choice when choosing an electrician.
