Did rough in of remodel on older house. General Contractor brought in. When we were ready to have project completed called and emailed and texted multiple times, no response, except maybe one time initially. But after they did not answer or respond. General advised also they contacted Keith May of First Electric and never got rest of materials needed to complete. I had to hire another contractor to finish, and they can not find the items missing to complete can lights or exhaust fan/lights. Unsure of what all wiring goes to so I am paying extra for First Electric and Keith May lack of professionalism. If they would at least get me the missing parts, or tell me where I can buy myself, that would be something, but nope.

DO NOT USE THEM!

I contacted them on Thursday, spoke to the gentleman, informed him what I needed. He stated he would call me back within 30 to 40 minutes with an estimate. He never called. The next day I called back and was informed he was in a meeting and would call me back. Today is Tuesday I have yet to receive a call back, and have contacted another company.

After my FIRST ELECTRIC, INC. experience I can't even give a 1-star rating. It was my first FIRST ELECTRIC, INC. experience and it will be my last FIRST ELECTRIC, INC. experience.

Built my home back in 2012 and used FIRST ELECTRIC, INC as the electrical contractor. After about 1-yr of service I discovered after my vacuum cleaner wouldn't turn on in my master bedroom that I had a dead receptacle. Further investigation revealed the wire insulation had not been properly stripped meaning the insulation was trapped under the installing screw head on the receptacle connection. A sure sign of LAZY/CARELESS/SHODDY labor practices. I repaired and remained trouble free until November 2017 (approx. 4yrs later).
Again I was operating my vacuum cleaner in my master bedroom and discovered my vacuum cleaner wouldn't turn-on. I remembered back when I had this same problem but this time I decided to give the guys at FIRST ELECTRIC, INC a phone call.
After giving a brief description of my problem I was asked for my address and was then told I would receive a phone call the next day when someone could stop by and look at my issue. I never received any return phone call from FIRST ELECTRIC, INC.
After getting bitched-out by my wife because her phone charger wouldn't work I began tearing down and moving all my bedroom furniture around to gain access to the affected receptacles (turns out all receptacles were dead except for the first one in the circuit). I did my own troubleshooting and made a sketch of the wiring circuit. I then removed all receptacles from the wall wiring and reinstalled making sure the wire insulation was stripped back properly. What I found were three more receptacles having the same insufficient wire stripping issue which was the root cause of my whole problem. What I learned was that FIRST ELECTRIC, INC is a poorly operated business having poor customer service and I can only laugh to myself when I saw the companies web page ad slogan .... "We use only materials and techniques that meet and exceed quality control standards"

First Electric took great care of me. They were the only one that quoted me before having to go to the site which shows they know what they are doing. I had used Mr. Electric on a previous job and got a quote on the same job just to compare and First Electric was a third of the cost. I will use First Electric for all my electrical needs in the future.

These guys are GREAT! We were left in quite a pickle after a disreputable person masquerading as an electrician made a mess of our breaker panel, and I was worried we wouldn’t be able to get it rectified without a GoFundMe campaign. FIRST ELECTRIC came out and fixed the other guy’s mess for an unbelievably fair price! Great work, very professional, and extremely reasonable rates. I will recommend these guys at every opportunity!

First Electric is wonderful! They are courteous promt, and efficient. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again if we need an electrician. Thank you for a great job!

I called them to come out and see about putting up some recessed lighting in my house as well as figure out what was wrong with my kitchen circuits. They were supposed to come out, but other emergencies emerged. When they finally did, they took a look at everything and then said they'd email me an estimate for the work I needed done. After two weeks of me calling over 3 times to inquire about the estimate, I finally called someone else. The other company came out and did the work the same day. After I had the work completed, First Electric finally emailed me their estimate. I politely let them know that I had already gone somewhere else for the work and then they email me a bill for the service call over two weeks ago. I will not be using first electric ever again for my electrical needs while in Prattville.

Hello. Long story. First Electric used to be my go-to electrician, through a decade and three houses. Small business and they used to be awesome. I guess they are just too busy now, as they won’t return calls or answer the telephone, and when they do answer, I’m told that someone will call me shortly, but that never happens. I’ve placed no less than a half dozen calls over a month trying to get them to install recessed lighting, and no progress toward an appointment or even a quote. I’m giving up. As much as I used to love them for their responsiveness and small-business feel, both of those attributes have disappeared. Very disappointing.

Chris and Ashley were so kind and friendly. They were able to get my work scheduled quickly. Travis and Carlos showed up on time, we’re very polite and did great work!

I’m ashamed to publicly admit that First Electric is charging me about $10,000.00 more than is reasonable to wire a new house. I requested the owner to talk to me, and he completely blew me off.

Then when CAEC turned on the electric to the house, there was a huge BANG. This brought down two transformers, and with them my whole neighborhood’s electricity. First Electric caused this because they mixed up wires for the generator connection.

Because of this colossal screw up I finally got the owner, Chris, to call me, and he said this was just “human error.” This error could have killed a human or burned my house down.

In addition, it has taken First Electric an unreasonable amount of time to accomplish any work. They send one or two guys are infrequent and irregular intervals for a few hours at a time. It is unfortunate I did not sign a contract with time requirements.

There is serious reason to believe that the owner and his employees are incompetent. I need to have a third party inspect their work before I’ll let electricity into my walls because I cannot trust their work.

I highly recommend in the interest of safety (and your checkbook) that no one ever hires First Electric.

They do a quality job for a fair price!

They did excellent work adding a outlet and relocating a light. Very professional

I don’t normally do this but….My secondary insurance called the company twice to set up an appointment for a repair finally I got a day and time but After taking 4 hours off to wait on them to arrive no one showed up again! After calling my insurance company about the no call no show they called liberty electric again to see why no one showed up and the reply was that no one actually put me on their appointment book. I actually tried several times a few days before my schedule day to verify but all I got was the answering machine….I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
