My wife got home after 6:00pm and the house was 45° and blinking lights.on the furnace. I came home a little later and the inducer fan was not working, so we called Plumbing and Heating Doctor, they had JD out in about an hour and a half. He made some calls and got the parts lined up for the next day. He showed me I could spin the motor and it'll fire up so we could have heat through the night. The next day he was here early, replaced the parts in 20 minutes.

After loosing power for 3 days with an inside house temp at 48° and dropping our power finally came back on at 11pm but my furnace would not ignite. JD showed up for an emergency call within the hour and resolved the issue. We once again have some much needed heat in the house. I highly recommend them for any problems you may encounter. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I had a leak that was dripping actively from the top floor to the middle floor. There was no visible water except for the steady drip. It took some significant sleuthing to discover what the leak was coming from. But they found it and repaired it. When they were done the leak was gone. JD and Chris worked well as a team. They were polite and respectful. They both were knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I plan on having them back to do all the plumbing maintenance when it is not an emergency.

PHD squeezed me in within hours and sent JD - who is very knowledgeable, communicative, and efficient - to get me back up and running. I thought this would be a nightmare, but JD had to the issue resolved so quickly and explained what was happening every step of the way. Truly excellent service from start to finish. I’m so grateful and highly recommend!

JD came out in after-hour emergency and was able to identify/fix a leak behind a bathroom wall without delay or issue - he knew exactly where to look and what to do! JD was very professional, explained everything he was doing and why, was comfortable with us observing his work as he did it, and cleaned up everything when done. Loretta (front line person we first talked to) was delightful and professional and followed up with us two days later asking if we had any concerns/questions and thanking us for our business - refreshing! We were referred to PHD by our long-time regular plumbing outfit, Advanced Plumbing, as they only do new construction these days. Advanced Plumbing highly recommended PHD and we are very grateful for the recommendation. Will definitely use PHD again if need arises.

Dan was great! He immediately recognized the issue and was able to get it resolved very quickly. He did a good job of thoroughly explaing the issue and cause to me so I understood what was happening. It was easy to get on their schedule and the service was great.

After a crazy wind storm I walked into my garage to a waterfall of water from our hot water heater/water softener. JD was able to send someone out early that day, even though they had been going nonstop during the storm. We discovered that the water softener had frozen and burst a pipe so the technician was able to bypass the softener and get our hot water heater up and running again (thankfully as the temps were heading into the single digits!). The tech was also able to refer us to a place that will assist in purchasing a new water softener. All in all, you guys have customers for life....thank you so much! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Needed boiler maintenance before a trip.
Dan the service tech was very knowledgeable
and efficient. He caught a potential future issue, found a replacement and answered all my questions. Braxton in the office went above and beyond to get him there before we left. Excellent experience all around.
I will definitely use this company again!

We had a great experience! — the plumbing work was done well, and everything’s functioning perfectly. The team was professional, responsive, and clearly takes pride in their craft.
The apprentice was friendly and eager to help, and it’s great to see someone learning the trade hands-on. His pipe work was spot on, straight! He proactively even serviced our water heater!
There were a couple of small communication hiccups, but nothing that affected the quality of the work.
I’d absolutely use this company again and recommend them for reliable, skilled plumbing service.
We had a water pressure tank installed in mid November. After the big power outages and storms in early December, they were on top of checking in for any damage, even though they were heckin' busy! -
PHD Dan is the man! My husband and I bought a home this winter. We contacted PHD for cleaning service, and no hot water on the combi boiler. PHD sent Dan. Dan explained precisely how the unit worked. He changed the filter and cleaned the unit. Dan showed my husband that the unit was in “default” mode and turned it on to the home setting. We had wonderful, clean, hot water. Our water is crystal clear, and we are now confident in our boiler system. We requested that Dan check out some minor issues with a spare toilet leak and bathroom exhaust fan. He provided impeccable service again. Not only did he fix the problems, but he also showed and explained everything he did, even the final bill.
Friendly reminder, folks… call PHD… check on your water filter so it doesn't look like ours did… earthquakes and empty homes are rough -
I needed an assist with a leaking boiler manifold after hours. I called Plumbing and Heating Doctor, who came highly recommended from a friend. They did not disappoint. JD showed up promptly with the parts and equipment to get the issues fixed. He was very professional, took time to answer some questions I had, and left us with heat again in the house. They are on call 24 hours. I highly recommend them if you have any plumbing or heating needs. Top notch service!

This was our first time using P&HD. Our furnace wasn’t working properly and Sean found the problem right away. He was awesome! Very friendly and knowledgeable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend P&HD. They’re the ones we’ll be calling with any future plumbing or heating issues we may have.

We had Dan out yesterday to fix a leaky toliet and he did a wonderful job. He even replaced some parts that were going bad and would prevent us from having another soggy situation. Professional, clean, and had things done in a timely manner. I also appreciated that the person who answered the phone was able to get someone out to me ASAP! Plumbing & Heating Doctor will forever be our go to guys!

We had an issue with our boiler/hot water tank plumbing during one of the wind events. Plumbing & Heating Doctor was able to get us on the schedule the next day. The technician was able to diagnose and repair the issues same day. I appreciate their responsiveness and fast service and would use them again. Thank you!

PHD was worth every penny. After 20 years of having HVAC technicians come out and fix my system PHD sent out Dan. Dan worked the problem, the problem, a roll of duct tape dropped into my blower when the system was installed. Now the system heats my house faster, runs smoother and quieter. I highly recommend PHD and Dan!

PHD Plumbing and Heating Doctors in Wasilla. Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest rating possible. I needed something fixed, They charged me 338.00 up front because they said they first had to do an inspection and they would also provide a complete clean out/Service for this price and then they would give me a quote on the cost to address the issue that was actually needed. After that quote I was told l would have to pay the full amount before any parts would be ordered so I trusted them and I paid what they quoted. The quotes were vague and general, no break down of the cost of each part. At the end of it all In the process of trying to clean out my Lochnivar high efficiency boiler a bolt sheared off so they just stopped working on it. They said they inspected it for leaks and there were none. Then they came several days later with the wrong part to try to fix the issue I originally needed fixed. More days passed and Braxton finally called me to say the part needed is no longer available and the system is fine like it is. So that’s how they left it. So they refunded me for that part (Taco Controller) that “no longer exists”. I had to ask for the refund of labor for coming out with the wrong part and then not replacing or fixing it and he agreed to that. I also had to ask for a more detailed and specific quote because all parts were just listed out with comas in between and not itemized. Meanwhile I still have the issue I hired and pre paid them for; a nonfunctional regulator and a pump wired to an extension cord and plugged into a wall outlet with the pump pumping away totally unregulated. Now 7 weeks later the boiler is making a terrible clunking and grinding noise and carbon monoxide leaking from the hole where they broke the bolt off. And it’s not heating my floors. I am running electric heaters but the house is barely staying warm, one of them burned out today. So what I paid for never got resolved, they did harmful damage, did a few other minor and unnecessary things and kept the remaining $1814.00. I am a senior citizen, and single caregiver of my disabled son. I had to pull money from my retirement account to pay for this. Now I have to do it again to hire someone else to fix not only what they didn’t fix but what they broke to begin with. This time there will be a COMPLETE REVALUATION in Comparison to the work they did and what was actually needed and listed on the invoices and;;; in writing before I pay a dime. We don’t have anywhere else to stay until it is fixed.

Reply to PHD's response below
One service was done on November 24, another on December 12 (as he says in his reply) and the last service was on December 16. I was charged separate labor charges every time they came out. On January 2 the receptionist called me but I had already scheduled another appointment from a professional plumbing and heating specialist since PHD left me with "Taco Mix Control Does Not Need To Be Replaced" (quoted from invoice 6232).
See photo of available Taco Controller on supply.com, quote statement from a heating specialist, Close up of existing Taco Controller, Image of the wall where the existing Taco Controller is hanging above the Taco Zone Valve Control Box.
Also Note: There is no "Taco Valve". Also...see PHD invoices completely contradict their own response.
If they really want to make it right they would fix what they damaged and replace the Taco Controller and connect the pump to it as I had already paid them to do.
That was all I wanted them to do. Everything else they did was their idea. If this was above their skill level they should have told me instead of finding ways to keep my money.
Also note that their invoice says "Cash on Delivery", this is false, they charged me for Everything upfront before they ever came out to do the work and they don't deny it. I could always attach bank charge images to prove that against the invoice dates but I won't for now. -
Appreciate the quality of the work!! Professional, honest, and quick. Highly recommend
