Annual scheduled preventive maintenance. I was told the diagnosis of the check up on the system; there was a simple servicing required. Another job well done till my next scheduled servicing.
I am on a servicing contract with Hilco and I have been using the (local) company 30+ years. I have referred other customers to Hilco; with positive feedback from the people I have referred.

HilCo is a family owned business with the best customer service I have ever received from an Air Conditioning and Heating company. The owner only recommends repairs when they are needed. They clean up after they are in the attic, and do small things like bring a garbage can up from the street and put it in my backyard. Best service ever.

I’m fortunate to have come across HilCo a few years ago; they’re a professional, reliable and honest company. I needed to turn on my heater and was unable to. Called Sunday evening and Monday morning my unit was serviced and working properly. Looking forward to signing a maintenance agreement in the Spring!

I rarely write reviews, only when I have had great or terrible service. Hilco is a 5-star review. I had an offer from a competitor for a free Summer tune-up on my A/C system, and while it has been running fine for many years now, a tune-up, whatever that is, would be beneficial. So the competitor came out, performed an inspection, and, surprise, surprise, found a bunch of things wrong with my system and began to press me for a commitment to a new system. I expressed my reluctance, stating it was running fine and I had no issues with it.

He told me that the whole system was about to fail at any moment, and they were scheduled so busy in the Summer that I should take advantage of the offer to replace the system now vs later.
I asked how much, and he quoted me his proposal. I gasped: $52,000.00 (more than I paid for my first two homes), so he said I could get by with a valued system at $36,000.00. I expressed skepticism and told him I would not spend that kind of money while my system was working. He then quoted me a system for $27,000.00, and I told him I would have to think about it.

At that point, I called Hilco, who had performed work for me 18 years ago by replacing a bad unit, and Brian, one of the owners, came out, tested the system, verified a couple of things the first guy did and said he recommended a couple of minor fixes to keep things running smoothly and performed the work right there on the spot. He charged me $240.00 for replacing a couple of capacitors and said when it came time to replace systems to call him, and he would get it done for less than half the original quote from his competitor. Brian from Hilco explained that because I have solar, certain system features would not be a good return investment and anyone not taking that into consideration was “selling” me stuff I didn’t need.
I asked how long he thought my current system would last, and he was careful to say no one could know for sure, but he anticipated a couple more years easily. I appreciated an honest technician/company that had my interest at heart, not just someone selling bells and whistles I didn’t need or afford. You can bet that when the system is to be replaced, I will call Hilco. Great experience with them. My highest rating.

HilCo has always taken such great care of my parents' HVAC system and now my own. They've always been honest, transparent, and precise with their work and pricing. Most recently, they inspected and performed a service on the HVAC unit on a home we recently bought. During their inspection, they discovered the junction box was not installed and tightened properly (the HVAC unit was installed by a different company), causing an electrical connection to melt and begin to arc (photo attached), which could have led to a house fire. They repaired it immediately and fixed the broken conduit going from the junction box to the AC unit, not only giving us peace of mind but also potentially saving our new home. They're a local family company my whole family trusts. Brent, Brian, and the entire HilCo family are the best in the industry. Will recommend over and over again.

I can,t rave enough about Logan and Omar. They were very professional kept me informed on everything they were doing. Then when they couldn't put in the right fan blade because it was late they put in a temporary one then went to their shop and brought back a portable air unit too make sure I would be comfortable for the night even though my air was cooling. If you have employee of the month I would strongly recommend that they receive it. If not you need to start it. They represent your company highly if not you should start that because if he was a example of your company I would trust any of your employees with any air conditioning needs. And recommend your company to everyone. Thank you for such great service.

Polite friendly technicians. Reasonably priced and I would say honest. I've had companies in the past tell me that various things were wrong when there was nothing wrong. These guys simply said everything is OK!
