LONG STORY POST- My husband (David Roberts) and I started our solar project with another company in February 2022. That company was super prompt to get the panels installed, but then everything went drastically downhill from there. Fast forward to November 2023...there was a tech out completing a very shoddy job on installing and connecting our battery backup system. On November 17th, we got a call from that tech saying that he was out of a job and wouldn't be showing up because the company had closed it's doors and was filing for bankruptcy. Imagine the panic that went through us as we weren't sure what that meant for our system. Enter SouthFace, specifically Danny Magana! That man...he saved us. He hustled and got us on track to having a PROPERLY assembled and connected and working system. The lead technician was Jeff Bevan and the electrician on the job was Zach DePriest. These guys drove down from Phoenix, worked on our system, stayed the night, then came back and worked some more to fix and complete this job and we cannot express how grateful we are for these three guys! They are incredible and SouthFace is lucky to have them. They give this company an AMAZING reputation. I will be recommending them to everyone! You're each greatly appreciated, guys! Thank you!

We had Southface remove and reinstall our solar panels for some roof repair. This company was a pleasure to work with from the first contact through the final stage. The crew was very polite, was experienced in their field and were very professional. This is a company you will want to contact if you need anything related to your solar system. I contacted 3 other companies and Southface was by far the one that was interested in helping with my project and at a very competitive rate. If I had to rate them they would deserve a A+++. Really top notch!

LG referred me to Southface Solar. I reached out and spoke to Danny about my solar battery swelling up. He walked me through my options and help me with my LG warranty for my battery. His team came out on time. Replaces my battery and internet connection. Every person I dealt with was professional and courteous. The best part after all the work was done they cleaned up after themselves. By far the best Electric and Solar company I have dealt with in the last 20 years. Great 👍 Job!!!

Two years ago Southface Solar installed my system. I still have bills over $300. I’ve reached out to them numerous times and they have yet to optimize my solar system. I’ve spent thousands $$$$ more than they promised my electrical bills would be.
It took SouthFace Solar over 90 days to even respond to an email for a request for them to review my system and look into why my bills are so high $$. I even talked to the owner on a Friday and he promised me he’d review it on Monday. That was 3 months ago.
The installation went well. They were friendly and knowledgeable. BUT the follow up and customer service is definitely not there after you purchase the system.
Southface Solar is more interested in the initial sale than providing follow up system optimizations of the solar panels and customer support.
I couldn’t be more disappointed in their service calls, or lack there of, over the past two years. Again, please be careful. Your electric bills might cost you thousands $$$ more than they it will.

Honest company that really cares about their customers. I needed an inverter replaced under manufacture warranty that was purchased by the previous owner of my home. Even though they didn't install the system, Danny was quick to get me setup for a replacement. When the replacement unit didn't work, and I'd need to have them come back out again, Danny was great to work with and coordinated another replacement delivery as well.

I contacted numerous Solar companies for removal and reinstall as my roof was needing repair. I choose SouthFace Solar and was very impressed with the communication with the office and even more expressed with the job the workers provided. The first two employees (for removal) were professional, knowledgeable, and job site was cleaned after removal. Upon reinstall, the two gentlemen (different employees) were just as good, and the same, knowledgeable, professional, respectful, and job site was clean.

I have been looking for help with my solar repairs for a year now. The young man who originally installed ours had moved on but he gave me some help in purchasing needed equipment. But after the new equipment was installed, it still needed to be programed. To make a long story short, I made a lot of phone calls and waited a long time between people showing up, and when they did, they didn't really know much about the equipment and system. One company showed up at my front door with pictures of my solar panels and told me I needed a new $60000 system. When I asked if they could fix mine, they told me they didn't do that!

One, who knew they were in over their heads, finally referred me to Southface. When I talked to Danny at Southface and he decided to take on our project, because it wasn't the standard installation, things began to change. Danny scheduled Cory the owner and solar guru to come out to evaluate the system problems. They thought it would take a long time, but it didn't. He obviously knew his stuff and when it didn't take as long as anticipated, they adjusted my bill down. How nice! Cory was not only very knowledgeable but courteous and down to business. He called Danny right then and scheduled the repair the next week, after they could get the new part.

Jeff, a veteran, who is also very skilled, friendly and courteous, came out today with the new part, even during the rain, and installed it in a short amount of time! He needed to turn off the electricity to the house in order to do so, which required manually opening our other garage door. When electricity was restored after installation, the garage door opener didn't automatically reconnect. Before he left, he reconnected the garage door opener. Wow! I didn't expect that!

Its been a while since I have dealt with a company that has been so knowledgeable, friendly and sincerely interested in doing a quality job at a fair price.

I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family and call them in the future when I need help with my solar.

I got a house with a solar installed bought this company called them numerous times they never call back, that is how they go about marketing over promising snd under delivering.
Paying $500-$600 a month with close to 32 unless pannels on my roof

I had a solar system installed a few years ago by another company that has since went out of business. I was referred to Southface solar and electrical after calling a few companies to replace a warranty inverter. I spoke with the service manager who was very attentive and informative. He made me feel good about giving then my business. They were able to get someone out one business day later to replace the inverter. The gentlemen they sent was very respectful and informative as well. When he finished the installation of the inverter, he came in and showed us pictures of it back in service. Asked us if we had he questions, then thanked us for our business. Thank you very much for the quick and attentive service.

I have to say I was a little nervous about getting someone to service our solar who didn't install it. But Danny Magana was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk with. Our solar installer company went out of business and I'm so happy to have found Southface Solar. We are selling our home and wanted to get the solar cleaned and do preventive maintenance. Which Jeff Bevan did a great job at cleaning and checking our system. He dealt the little issue we had. I will be recommending them to the new owners once we sell. Thank you Danny and Jeff.

I called Southface Solar & Electric to remove solar panels so I could replace the roof. I had a great experience with this company. The service manager Danny Magana was amazing, He even called me to let me know what time they were coming. They set up my panel removal on Thursday and had them reinstalled on Monday. It was very refreshing to have a crew was polite and efficient. They disassembled and neatly stacked and secured all the panels on the ground. A crew of three guys came back to reinstall. Danny also setup an account on the solar edge portal so I could monitor my system. I was very happy with the communication and service I received. I highly recommend Southface solar and electric!!

Due to roof leaks we discovered our existing 12+ year old solar system was damaged and not performing as it should.
SouthFace Solar was the most responsive company. Called them and had an on-site review the next morning for an estimate to remove and reinstall. This is when we learned how bad our old solar system was. We reviewed with SouthFace Solar the options and decided to replace the entire system including the inverter.

The removal of the old and installation of the new solar systems went as planned. Danny, Greg and the various crew members that were here were punctual, clean, diligent and efficient in there removal and installation processes. I am please to say our new solar system is running to capacity and saving us money.

After my new roof I had an issue with my solar panels when in was reinstalled. The roofing company told me Danny from SouthFace Solar and Electric would contact me. Danny called the same day and was able to remotely check my system to confirm the problem was on the roof and not the inverter. SouthFace Solar sent two technicians out Jeff and Shawn to check out and repair the solar system. Both of them were very nice and got the solar problem repaired quickly and back to producing. I can’t thank Danny, Jeff, and Shawn from SolarFace Solar and Electric enough. Great people and affordable I would definitely use this company again.

I called and spoke with a very nice guy. However. When the tech called back he started addressing my need for a solar company to watch my panels. After a confusing few minutes. I stated that I was not in a position to talk about that as my current need was a wifi module. He flipped from nice to agressive in a second. Said if i wanted to go straight to buisness he would. I ended our call stating i would not be using them. Beware

I was having a problem with my solar and the original business was no longer servicing my solar-- I called a couple places and Southface Solar was the best to talk too and work through the process. Danny Magana answered all my questions and fixed my solar system and is now monitoring it. Couldn't ask for better service and results

I purchased a 40 kw backup battery system from SouthFace. About 10 months after the purchase one of the inverters went out. EP Cube was great about replacing it immediately. SouthFace came out the day after I received the replacement inverter & swapped out the bad one. It was too late in the day to commission the new one so they are coming out today to do that. Danny did a great job! Thank you.
