Landscaping reviews in Phoenix, Arizona

Awesome!! the only thing you need working with this company. From start to finish these guys do good work. Same team on the job from start to finish. They made a mistake, pulled it out and re-did it no questions asked or excuses made. Clean up and removal of debris handled even as night fell. Great job!,

The backyard was transformed from dirt to a beautiful place you want to hang out. Diamond Cut was easy to work with, has plant arborist expertise in plantings, respectful of budget constraints, and installed the best quality with respect to turf densities and sprinkler systems. It was a very good experience!

Diamond cut landscaping is first rate. Dan and Mike (the owners) go above and beyond when it comes to their fair pricing, quality of the product, workmanship, flexibility with payment options, and communication. Their desire the “make it work” in the interest customer service is a fantastic quality to see nowadays. Their team started the job earlier than planned (which was great) and completed the work ahead of schedule. Their team even moved large boulders that were laying around the property to help support raised dirt area to mitigate any erosion that could occur during the rainy season - all this was done without any extra cost. I would highly recommend them!!

Amazing to work with!! I contacted a number of landscapers to do my backyard and I'm so glad I chose Diamond Cut!! Daniel did a great design based on the things I wanted and his crew implemented the design in about a week!! I love my new backyard!!

Dan was very thorough and helpful through the design process. He gave us plenty of options to choose from to have our yard looking exactly how we envisioned! The team executed the design we were given perfectly and Daniel was extremely informative while the team worked on the yard.

My wife and I selected Dan and Diamond Cut for their initial attentiveness and solid on-line reviews. Diamond Cut was not the cheapest bid on our $60,000+ travertine pool deck renovation but the reviews and the commitment to have a full crew complete our renovation in 12 business days were factors in selecting Diamond Cut.
Work started on 6-13-25 with up to four workers. Following that we managed four tear outs with Diamond Cut including; 1) coping, 2) deck facia tile, 3) border tile and 4) 60 feet of French drain work. This rework included call backs for damaged travertine, irregular paver cuts, uneven lawn curbing, border travertine, no sand layer placed on artificial turf...
Total 50 business days to complete, most with max 2 workers to the date of final punch list corrections completed on 9-10-25.
Lack of communication, poor materials scheduling, lack of follow-up and QC checks all exacerbated the experience. Towards the end, Dan Plunk stopped returning calls and emails.
Would not recommend. -
My girlfriend and I hired DiamondCut Landscaping last summer in 2022. Our home needed a little face lift, and a need to be more functional. The first two pictures show what we were working with; #1 is when we first bought it and #2 is the day DiamondCut Started the demo. It’s visible that we had a tree stump (yes a tree stump!) right in the middle of our front patio, LOTS of cracks in the drive way and wasted space on the right side of the drive way. Not to mention that anytime it rained, we would get a little “pond” in the front patio just to the left of the tree stump (brown dirt stain area in pic#2).
We had a vision of making the front more appealing to the eye as well as a little more functional and that’s when we gave Diamond Cut Landscaping a call. We called to schedule a consultation and Dan made it out to our place by the end of the week. Working with Dan during the consultation was great, he was so nice, easy to work with and knowledgeable. We had a list of questions that we were going to ask and Dan actually answered about half of them before we mentioned them. It was nice to have someone looking a project as if it was his own home. He wanted to make sure we received what we had in mind but also that it was done correctly. For instances making sure any rain water would drain out to the street and not puddle up into a pond. After the consultation, Dan provided a design for us on our house. It was supposed to be a 2D design but he ended up surprising us with a 3D design which was amazing. After seeing the 3D design, there was no turning back for us because we had fallen in love with that vision.
After confirming that we wanted to move forward with the project, Dan came out to the house one more time just to make sure he had all the dimensions correct and confirm all the details we wanted with us. To our great surprise Diamond Cut was able to not only schedule us to get started in about 2 weeks but they also estimated the project to be done in one week. The guys were there on Monday morning, did one final walk through with us and then got to work. Boy did they work fast! It was so exciting to watch it being made and we loved seeing the progress at the end of each day. This was during the middle of summer too. So it was HOT!! But these guys still pushed on and moved quick. They worked so quick that they actually ended up finishing the whole project by Thursday night instead of Friday!
There was only one small set back with the construction. After everything was complete, it ended up raining that night. Because of this rain, it ended up causing some indents on the top of the wall in a couple areas and one that made a small hole. Dan had already mentioned there might be some weird settling during the drying phase and told us to give them a call if we saw it. After the rain had passed, we called up Dan and scheduled for a crew to come by that week and fix up the rain damaged areas. They patched up the hole from the rain and fixed and weird settling that happened. We were very happy with the final outcome. The thing that took the longest, was actually for us to get around to painting the wall to match our house. Picture #3 shows the finished product after Diamond cut was done with the project and picture #4 shows when we finally finished painting the wall. -
Dan, Mike, Wendy and their team of workers are diligent, polite and hard working. The guys cleaned up so nicely at the end of each work day.
We are so happy they helped us achieve our dream backyard. We can’t thank them enough. We definitely recommend Diamond Cut Landscaping.

Dan and his staff were great to work with! He ask me question about my “Dream Yard”, how It would be used, how long did I plan to live in my home. With that input I requested and paid for a drawing. Dan came back and discussed the drawing, you could tell he listened to things important me, like I don’t like straight lines. Dan advised me on plant choices and locations that could take full sun, would tolerate low water and low maintenance. He sent me pictures of plants and their placement. I requested a few placement changes and we were on our way. I got to choose my paver color which I love! I had been told when I signed the contract in June and gave my deposit that I would be looking at my job beginning somewhere between mid August and mid September and depending on weather and materials the job could take two weeks. I was contacted the first week of August the job started August 4, 2021 and was completed August 7, 2021.
I am very pleased! Some small issues arose as is normal but Dan or his staff(Reagan, Mike, Andres or Daniel) were always available to answer my questions or accommodate my request. I will attempt to post before and after pictures. I definitely recommend Damond Cut Landscaping. I Love my back yard! -
I couldn’t recommend this company more from start to finish they exceeded all my expectations. They started on the day. They said they would start and not one day did someone not show up to finish the job? I cannot say enough about Diamond Cut Landscaping would recommend to everyone and all my friends. The site manager Kenny was unbelievable. Anything that came up he would text or call and respond within minutes!!!!

Diamond Cut Landscaping is fantastic! They did a brilliant job with designing our yard - taking us from builder basic to backyard oasis. They listened to what we wanted and provided stellar service. We would (and will) recommend Diamond Cut to anyone who's looking to create a beautiful and relaxing space to surround their home.

Working with Dan and the whole team was great. The best part is they worked with my limited budget, and helped us brought our vision to life with 3D mockups and held our hand throughout the process. When we are ready to do more projects we will for sure use diamond cut again.

We hired Diamond Cut to redo our backyard. From Dan's wonderful design, to Wendy and the office team, to Mike and his work crew, everyone was helpful, hardworking and polite. The end result was beyond our expectations. We could not be happier. We would recommend them for any landscaping job.

I met Dan at the Home and Garden show and was impressed by Diamond Cut's portfolio and landscaping process. After comparing against a couple other companies, I choose to go with Diamond Cut and I couldn't be happier! Dan's design process was my favorite, and it was truly a step above other landscapers I dealt with. Dan, Wendy, and the whole team were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. I have already recommended them to anyone I know who needs landscaping, and I know I can call them if I ever have any issues or need help with my new backyard!

Dan and his team did an excellent job in designing and installing the landscaping for our pool and backyard. Dan was always available to answer questions and gave expert advise regarding plant choice. Once the design was finalized they were able to start the project much sooner than originally thought. They finished the project in about 7 days and gave our backyard the "Resort" type feel that we were looking for!

Diamond Cut is truly one of the finest Companies I have ever dealt with. I was introduced to them at the Home and Garden where I met Ashton. He was knowledgeable, personable and was persistent without being pushy. From then on, everyone I met that worked for that company was amazing. Daniel, the supervisor was present at the job as needed….coordinating everything……Juan, a true tile wizard and his crew were friendly, respectful and the hardest working crew ever. And Wendy, in accounting actually saved us money and was equally great to work with. All in all, this company stands out, head and shoulders against most and I highly recommend.

Newest Update: Dan stood by his word and fixed what he said he was going to fix and I am overall happy. It took a while to get here but do love my yard.
New Update: Dan saw my review and is doing everything he can to get the situation fixed. He is going to replant in October and make sure that we have a watering guide for the future. Thanks, Dan. Will update again.
I'm changing my star rating to 3 temporarily. Dan has assured me that he'll get the issues reolved to our satisfaction.
I mostly love my yard. All except for the Giant hassle to get it done and now the dead plant issue. I'm going to focus on my dead plant issue here. This was a complete design and install.
The contract states plants are warrantied for 4 months and that the watering system cannot be adjusted during that time. I did as I was told and the pics below are of some of the dead $7k worth of plants.
We let Dan know and he begrudgingly said he'd replace them even though since the plants were installed on 'X date' (which was 14 days into the 10-12 projected working days to complete) and today was 'Y date' so they were no longer under warranty anymore. I was going by the contract completion date.
If his drip system and settings were doing the job, this wouldn't have happened. I will update in October when he says he will replace the dead plants.
Dan is a very nice guy in person, but dealing with actually getting things done to our satisfaction has been a nightmare. It is pretty obvious to me, due to several issues, that they have little to no experience with xeriscape type landscapes. The original plan had a saguaro next to a lemon tree with the same drip settings. That obviously makes no sense.
None of the drip lines have any kind of emitter and so all plants get the same amount of water, whether they are a mesquite tree or a cactus. There are also no emitters / drip lines at the edge of the tree canopies, as I've been told / read is standard practice by arborists.
I will gladly update with more flattering photos once the plants are replaced and they are presentable. -
We found Diamond Cut Landscaping at the home and garden. We were very impressed with how transparent and open they were. We scheduled an appointment for them to come out to give an estimate on a retaining wall with a seating area incorporated. We had a total of four estimates for the project. Diamond Cut offered the best value. They were great at working on the design with us, making sure that it was exactly what we wanted. Once the design was set, they privided an itemized breakdown of the costs of the project.
We schedule the start date, and they showed up everyday on time and finish the project in a week and a half as promised. Once completed, they cleaned up the yard, all the debris, and we couldn't ever tell they were there?
I would recommend diamond cuts landscaping to anybody, we we're highly impressed, they follow through, and provide great service.
As a matter of fact, I've already started a second project with them in my backyard. -
I referred my parents to Diamond Cut Landscape due to their reviews as well as their BBB rating. My parents have reached out to Dan the owner who stated Daniel the forman will resolve their concerns. My parents and I have made multiple attempts to reach Daniel with no response. There are multiple unaddressed issues with the backyard that need to be taken care of and the owner avoids the issue instead of addressing it. The cost of this project was over $20k and my parents should be receiving over $20k customer service. Not only are we extremely disappointed with the service we've received we’re disappointed with the lack of concern shown by the owner as well as his staff. Think twice before you pay for services provided by Diamondcut landscaping because the treatment my parents have received up to this point have been very poor.
*****Update*****
Dan sent out a new foreman by the name of Joseph who made the experience so much better while working with this company. He kept in contact with my parents and made some changes with the backyard that they were very happy with.
The workers that were sent out to do the physical labor were all very hard-working people and my parents appreciated everything that they did.
My dad reached out to Dan the owner of the company and asked him questions about how to take care of the grass and deal with some concerns he had from a maintenance perspective that were related to the backyard. Dan was very kind and took the time to listen and to help my dad which I appreciate.
Overall, I feel like Dan took ownership of the issues that were occurring. Yes there were some problems with communication and it took a while for the project to be completed. In the end what matters is that my parents are satisfied with how the backyard looks and Dan took the time to address the concerns that my parents had. -
Our backyard was just dirt when we moved in and after meeting with several companies we decided to work with Diamond Cut. Dan, the owner, is very knowledgeable about plants. He is extremely professional and easy to work with. All of our calls and emails were answered promptly and when we changed our minds about design along the way, he was always responsive. The work started exactly on time and the crew was there every day on time until the job was finished. Our job was extensive and they had it done in 2 weeks. We are very happy with our yard.

We had such a great experience with Diamond Cut Landscaping. Mark & Daniel were able to bring our vision to life and we could not be more happy with how our backyard turned out. It is even more beautiful than we imagined it would be. The crew was amazing and on time every day. The whole team was a pleasure to work with. I couldn't recommend this company more. It was a great experience from start to finish.
