I met Shane when he was hired by my contractor to reconnect my kitchen after the pipes collapsed. He seemed like a nice, honest guy, so when the garbage disposal went out, I hired him to install a new one. We agreed on a price, but when his son showed up to install it, he immediately started claiming it wasn’t enough money, and when I objected, he started inventing various reasons, and refused to install it. In the end, I was forced to pay more because it was an emergency situation. I was quite unhappy, but assumed the problem was with the son, not the father. Now I am having a problem with the hot water heater, and, after getting various estimates, decided to hire the father to install a new one that I bought. Again, the son arrived and informed me that they decided not to install the water heater because the agreed price was too low, and should be around $300.00 higher. Fortunately, the water heater was not an emergency, and I refused and had to ask him to leave. I contacted his father and asked him to honor our agreement or I would write a bad review. He responded, with some grumbling, that he would honor the price, but, “If supply lines leak after reconnection, that’s not included in the price”. I take that as an implied threat, (who wants leaky supply lines?) and therefore feel obligated to warn other people about this extremely unethical bait and switch game between the two of them. A very unpleasant experience!

Shane was very professional and courteous. He made a suggestion for fixing our bathroom sinks with pop ups. They look much better than our old fixtures.
