Our family is thankful to have found M&R Refrigeration Company. I stepped out to run some errands and returned to a warmer than normal house. My spouse advised that A/C suddenly stopped cooling. Of course, our toddlers didn't hesitate to remind me that "it's hot!". I reached out to Matt at M&R around 7PM but unfortunately they were all booked up, so we scheduled an appointment for first thing next morning. Phoenix had just experienced a record 118 *F day, so we were just about ready to stay the night at a hotel. Moments later I received a message from Matt to let me know that he could have someone out in 45 minutes. What a relief! Aaron arrived in half an hour and was fantastic to work with. The unit was repaired in under an hour and Aaron was patient in explaining the entire process. We went over the who, what, why, etc. on the A/C unit and future maintenance. The entire process was smooth, prompt and we didn't have to sell any organs to cover the cost of an emergency/last minute repair during the busiest time of year. M&R Aaron got us back to a cool home before bed time.

UPDATE - He didn’t register the unit so the compressor wasn’t covered under the 5 year warranty. Trying to get this guy to cover his mistake is a waste of time. Don’t do business with this crook.

I am only writing this because I'm disappointed in Matt. I bought 2 condensers for my walk-in cooler in July 2020 and the compressor failed on one unit on July 2024. It has a 5 year warranty so I called and talked to Stephanie I believe and explained the situation. Now she was pleasant and tried to looked for the warranty registration. After 2 days I finally asked if he had looked into the matter and she stated he told her any company can handle the warranty and that they were overbooked. That they wouldn't be able to come out and service the machines.

Pretty sad when someone spends 18.5k with a company and they don't have the common decency to even take a look. I guess my money or business isn't good enough for them.

Just be aware if you need warranty work from this company they will probably ghost you. They just want that up front money to put new units in and don't want to deal with tedious warranty work.

If you're in need of a trustworthy local repairman with expertise and integrity in the field, reach out to M&R and specifically ask for Matthew, the owner. Matthew was recommended by my friends and promptly came over, even on his day off, when our AC was affected by a short circuit during a storm on a Sunday morning in August. He quickly diagnosed the issue causing a floor leak as well.
Additionally, he kindly adjusted our noisy AC unit to reduce the sound. While our units may need replacement in the future, we now have peace of mind knowing that Matthew is the person to contact.

We had M&R come to our home today to inspect our cooling system today given it was not cooling properly. Carlos, the technician performed the inspection and clearly communicated his findings and explained our options going forward. we received estimates for each option, and we were extremely pleased with the service we received,

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ M&R first came out on a Sunday when no one else would. The Tech Matt made every effort to try and get the old unit working. He was completely transparent in not wanting to charge me for what won’t change the outcome and just waste money. I appreciate that!! Got a quote for a new unit and the price was by far better than any previous quotes. The owner Matthew communicated directly with us through the entire process. He also went the extra mile to make us as comfortable as possible while we had to wait.

4/23/25 Update
Had Blake from M&R come out to service our unit. He went above and beyond answering all my questions assuring me everything is in good shape for the summer. I truly appreciate everyone at M&R for their customer service, honesty and fair pricing.

I can’t say enough good things about M&R Refrigeration! After another company messed up my mini-split install and it started leaking just two weeks later, I called Matt at M&R. Even during the busy season, he was quick to respond and get me scheduled. He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem right away, and had it fixed quickly and efficiently. The system now runs better than it did when I first bought it. Fair pricing, honest work, and top-notch service. Highly recommend Matt and M&R Refrigeration if you want it done right the first time!

Was quick to setup an service call and they came on the same daym Alex was awesome in trying to diagnose my issue and took great care of cleaning my ac's coils. Wouldn't trust any other business to service my HVAC.

We switched to Sorensen about a year ago with the recommendation of a great friend. To say we are very happy with that decision is an understatement. Every technician that has serviced or completed maintenance on our HVAC system has been professional and knowledgeable. The latest service call was responded to within a few hours when the temperature was above 105 outside and approaching 90 inside. Justin was diligent and efficient in determining that our 5 year old thermostat had failed. He replaced it, verified the system was 100% operational and checked all outside components as well before he left. We highly recommend Sorensen heating and cooling!

I have been with Sorensen for about 14 years. When I had two different Home Warranties during that time Sorensen had to come out and fix the poor quality of work they did. Brian and his employees have always been professional, helpful and kind. He has helped me out in some tough situations. When my 14 year old AC unit decided it was done working and the temperature in my home reached 92 degrees there was only one company that I trusted to call. Sorenson Heating and Cooling.
