Like a lot of other reviews I'm seeing here, I was misled when my security system was set up. The security system came with my new home built by Pulte. When the techs came to set up the system, we were told that the first year would be free, and if we didn't enjoy the services at the end of the year, we could cancel. 1 year later we started getting billed, but when I tried to cancel, I was told I was on the hook for 2 more years and over $1k. This was absolutely not how the tech explained things at all. He very clearly made it sound like the 1 free year would be like a trial run without a commitment. I should have read through the contract more thoroughly, but his assurance that I could cancel if I didn’t feel like the system was worth it felt good enough for me at the time.

Update: I originally gave 1 star but they did offer me a reduced package for a slightly lower price. Still not pleased about the way it was sold to me, but I appreciate that they were at least willing to work with me a little bit.

I recently set up security service for a family member through SSTI and wanted to leave a review on my experience.

My installer Hunter was awesome!

He was responsive and got all 4 P's right! Punctual, pleasant and professional, and patient!

I love it when I see young professionals handling their business like an OG! Based on my first impression I expect my family members to have a great experience!

We just had significant upgrades to our system. Miguel and Jesse were the technicians. They did an excellent job. They were courteous and professional. When they were done, Miguel walked us through everything, tweaked anything that needed it and answered all our questions. The system is excellent.

Hunter and Miguel did a really good job at installing our system. Everything works as intended and looks good. They took time to teach us how to operate our system as well as our surround sound. I'm very happy with the work these 2 young men did.

Joe Adams (the technician) gave me a call when he was on the way, he showed up at the time he said he would be there. Joe did a fantastic job and finished the job quickly, cleaned up the area after he finished. We discussed a possible position for some cameras and a few other things and he was on his way. Dan Mendivil was awesome got me the paperwork and other items quickly and made everything easy to follow. Inwould happily have them do more work for me in the future.

Just had our new build SST systems activated. Our technician was Miguel and he great. Very professional and personable. He got us all hooked up in no time, and didn't leave until we had no more questions concerning everything. Two thumbs up. Thanks!

I recently had SST installed security system for me on my new home. Jesse Escamilla & Joe Adams are a great team! They were efficient and took the time to make sure I understood how to use my new system. They were very professional and I would recommend SST to all my friends and family 😊.

Joe did an awesome job with the security setup and the sound system in the house in Surprise, AZ today! He spent time showing us how to work each system until we were both comfortable with it. He was very helpful and so pleasant. So happy we went with SST!

We needed a security camera on our back porch relocated from inside the porch to the outside wall to accommodate enclosing the porch. When Joe and Hunter arrived, they did a thorough investigation of the situation and recommended the best course of action would be to simply adjust the porch camera along with another camera in the back yard. This would meet our needs and would avoid running wire through the fairly thin porch roof and porch roof studs as well as avoiding possible stucco and drywall damage to the house. They were willing to innovate to arrive at a better solution to the problem than our original request. Since we had prepaid for the camera relocation which ultimately wasn't done, SST promptly refunded the overpayment. I definitely recommend SST if you need security cameras (they had also done the original camera installation when the house was built).

Dan Martinez has been an incredible asset in providing top-tier consulting and design work at Smart System Technologies. As the design engineer, he worked closely with us and our builder, Land Sea, to meticulously plan our electrical layout. His patience and thoroughness stood out as he took the time to explain all available options, spending multiple hours ensuring everything met our needs. Since then, Dan has designed several other projects for our home, all of which SST has flawlessly implemented. His exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and commitment to quality are the reasons we continue to choose SST for all our technology projects. 4 hours late - didn’t bring enough dimmer switches. We have 3 way switches for our kitchen lights. The ones Miguel did install, he wired wrong. Our LED lights aren’t even dimmable so they’re buzzing. And the other 3 way switches don’t work at all now because the dimmers are not hooked up and others aren’t wired correctly. Took him 3 hours to put in 3 switches….wrong.

Tried to link my front door lock to the wrong app for 20+ minutes.

I’d give 0 stars if I could.

I recently purchased a beautiful home in Maricopa, AZ. Even though it is a quiet and safe neighborhood, I wanted to install a security system.

I made an appointment with the SST sales rep Daniel Mendivil. He went over the alarm system, cameras and everything that needed to be done, including TV installation with surround sound.

A few weeks later, he arrived with his hard working crew, Mack, Joe, Jesse and Erik. I was very impressed with their professionalism and great personalities. You can tell they enjoyed working together and doing what they do.
