I used Sonoran Hvac recently for his ability to get things done quickly and for a great price. He was able to get my mini split into my office in less than 2 hours. Plus they also installed air vents to help cool my office better to manage the cool air flow more adequately. I would definitely recommend them for thier great work, professionalism, honesty and price.

A few weeks ago we had some issues with our AC, which when you live in the desert is a serious problem. I had another local company come out and give quotes for a repair. Their proposal was for 3 different options, ranging from 1k (which might not even work) to 19k...on a 5 year old system. I called up Chas Roberts for a second opinion, and they were out within 24 hours. Francisco, the technician that came to our home was so friendly and thorough. He took the time to answer my questions, and was able to remedy our issue for much luck than the other company's quote. I will not bother with the other company again. Chas Roberts will have my business from now on, and I can say I definitely recommend them if you want an honest, competent HVAC company.

Aiden serviced our account, repaired recommended components efficiently with great courtesy.

If I could give zero stars I would. They “no-showed” to 2 appointment windows. After I called them to reschedule, they called an additional 3 times to reschedule, even though it had already been done. Then after they no-showed a 3rd time, they hung up on me when I called them back for an explanation. Not surprised to see a 3.6 ⭐️ on google.

Our family has been using Chas Roberts for three years and every time there has been an issue they take the best care of us. Carlos came out and stayed late, using all of his resources and help from his co-worker Francisco. After spending countless hours, they detected the problem. They determined there was an internal leak and we feared the worst. Thankfully because of our continuing service and maintenance we were covered. This shows how important it is to maintain your equipment. Jordan, the Manager assured us that we were covered because of our history and gave us a sigh of relief. We cannot recommend Chas Roberts enough!

If I could do zero starts I would.
After receiving three separate professional opinions, it became very clear that Chas Roberts is not in the business of helping homeowners—they’re in the business of draining wallets. We moved into a new home expecting things to be in working order, only to discover that our AC dampers hadn’t been opening properly for FOUR years. This critical issue went completely unaddressed by Chas Roberts, despite their prior visits and supposed inspections.
Their approach has been dishonest, dismissive, and focused solely on upselling rather than solving the actual problem. What’s worse is the way they try to spin the issue, avoiding responsibility and using technical jargon to confuse customers instead of offering real solutions.
Please, go with a trusted local company—you’ll save yourself time, stress, and a lot of money. We deeply regret trusting Chas Roberts and hope others can avoid the same mistake. -
UPDATE 4.28.25: Following my initial review, one of Chas Roberts' managers, Jordan, personally reached out and provided his direct contact information. He arranged for a technician to come out to investigate and repair the issue at no cost to us.
Technician Isaac arrived promptly, spent a few hours thoroughly diagnosing the problem, making the necessary repairs, and testing the lines to ensure everything was functioning properly.
We truly appreciate Jordan and Isaac’s efforts to address the situation quickly and professionally. Their responsiveness and commitment to making things right made a big difference.
4.14.25 Chas Roberts was the contractor selected by our home builder for HVAC installation in our new construction home. Unfortunately, we've experienced ongoing issues since move-in. Just before the 1-year warranty expired, the entire attic unit had to be replaced due to a failure during peak summer heat. Now, 1.5 years later (2.5 years total), we’ve discovered a leak where copper lines were soldered to the original aluminum lines — an issue we've learned is not uncommon with their installations.
Because most HVAC contractors won’t work with aluminum lines, we were left with two costly options: run new copper lines externally (involving cutting into our home), or replace the aluminum lines inside the walls, which would be even more invasive and expensive. Chas Roberts considers this out of warranty and won’t even provide a quote without an $85 service call.
While their technicians are polite, they’ve been careless during visits, leaving behind scratches and minor damage. Overall, our experience with Chas Roberts has been extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend them based on the quality of their work or their customer support. -
Great experience with the technician. Not happy with the same issues that keep happening every change of season, but the technition offered something that may help. Fingers crossed!!!

Ruben was friendly and professional. He came to work on a warranted part. Answered all my questions and got the part I needed ordered. He has to come back to install but this was still a pleasant experience.
-
Great communication. Dillon did an excellent job of explaining all the ins and outs of our new system.
-
Fantastic service by Ruben he has , professionalism, excellent communication, and deep knowledge of the system, arrived early and didnt leave until he made sure everything is thoroughly checked! If anyone needs an HVAC checked and call Chas Roberts for service, ask for Ruben as your technician!

German was extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I felt fortunate to have him as my warranty technician from beginning to end

We had Austin from Chas Roberts swing by our house because our A/C wasn’t cooling the house till 10pm at night… and this is a brand new home!
He did an amazing job going above and beyond fixing 3-4 problems; copper line leaks, unit door leaks, and two blockages. He was very knowledgeable with his profession, and informative.
If you have an A/C issue, and going with Chas Roberts A/C & Plumbing, ask for Austin!

The technician was awesome as always he knows my system well and has performed previous repairs. I wouldn't want anyone else coming out because the young man is prompt and professional.

Chas Roberts openly admits that their pricing is structured in a way that means you will pay for 3 hours of work even if it takes less than 1.
I see I’m not the only one upset about Chas Roberts’ “block pricing” (thanks, Steven). Here’s my experience:
I bought my unit from Chas Roberts less than two years ago. It came with a 10-year parts warranty, so when the compressor fan motor failed recently, the part itself was “free.”
They quoted me $85 to come diagnose the issue. They came and diagnosed it, but had to order the parts and come back later.
Replacement day, Jake the technician called me at 8:33 AM and said he would be here in 20 minutes. After install, the receipt was in my email at 9:40 AM. So Jake was here less than an hour. Total bill $515
Effective hourly labor rate to replace - more than $430.00/hour (because remember, the part was free).
Except, wait! I asked Jordan what I was getting for that $430. Jordan informed me that I was *getting* a 1 year labor warranty. I told Jordan I didn't want it and to reduce my bill by the warranty amount. BUT there’s no option to decline it or reduce your bill—“that’s not a thing,” I was told (by Jordan). Evidently, it’s less trouble to overcharge everyone “just in case” than to treat customers as individuals.
When I asked, "So then what is the hourly labor rate", I was told they charge “by the job,” not by the hour, meaning it makes no difference if your repair is quick or if someone else’s is more complex—everyone pays the same inflated amount. Specifically Jordan told me that even though mine might only take 1 hour to swap, there is no way for them to know if it will take 1 hour or 3 hours.
***In effect, I am overcharged to pay for a costlier job so they don’t have to.***
In my opinion, I believe Chas Roberts’ pricing model prioritizes their protection—and profit—over transparency and fairness. You’re left in the dark about what you’re really paying for. (I still don't know how much the 1 year warranty is)
I anticipate their usual bland response asking me to “call the billing or service department,” but let me be clear: Chas Roberts refuses to quote hourly labor rates, openly admitting that their pricing is structured in a way that **you** may be paying for **someone else's** A/C issues. This kind of pricing opacity makes it impossible for customers to know if they’re being treated equitably.
PS: I experienced the same treatment with Rite Way as well, so I wouldn't recommend them either. -
We had an outstanding experience with Alexus from Chas Roberts! Our AC unit suddenly stopped receiving power, and she took the time to thoroughly diagnose the issue, explain what was going on, and replace several faulty components. She was extremely polite, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable. Best of all, she had everything back up and running in under an hour. It’s rare to find technicians who are both efficient and so easy to work with — Alexus was all that and more. Highly recommend!

I recently had a technician from Chas Roberts come out because our unit has been giving us some issues. The technician was very polite and explained everything very clearly. He got our unit running quickly and even recommended a soft start to help us prolong the life our unit.

Ruben has been awesome to work with and very helpful with our warranty. Profesional friendly and informativo. Thank you Ruben. And His coworker Adam or Aarón that came to help him out. Thank you for cleaning up the insulation droppings without me having to say anything. I appreciate it. God bless you.

We had an emergency situation with our AC and Austin helped us. He helped identify the issue and stayed till 9pm working on it until it was working again. He explained what went wrong and even offered to let us borrow a temporary unit for our main bedroom because we have pets. Overall the response time was quick and Austin was very professional and courteous. Thank you for taking care of our family and we will be your clients and refer business anytime.

I recently had the Air Scrubber installed and it is amazing! I noticed the air is much cleaner, the house smells better, and it has minimized the dust and dirt. Our technician, Jacob Webb, was very polite, professional, efficient, and able to answer all of my questions. I will definitely be using Chas Roberts for any future maintenance and services. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
