On August 23rd, during a heat wave, a technician from Service Hero (David Godinez) told us our AC had a broken TXV valve and needed a new evaporator coil. He said this was why our AC wasn't blowing cold air. The written estimate we received was $4,205. Later, I got a call from John, the owner, who said the "real" price was actually $4,991 with labor--but that he would "honor" the lower quote after noticing from my email that I worked in education. The estimate included no breakdown of parts or labor, offering zero transparency. I also felt like John was pressuring me to make a decision by Sunday night so he could order parts and schedule installation Monday. After his follow-up, I told him we simply couldn't afford it. On September 3rd, another heat wave hit with temperatures over 100°F. Normally, we would have left our dog inside with the AC running while we were at work. But since the AC was still broken, we couldn't. Tragically, our family dog died of heatstroke in the backyard that day, devastating our children. Immediately following this awful incident, we called another AC company for a second opinion. Their technician did a thorough inspection and found that nothing was broken--we were simply out of Freon. He refilled it, charged us $400 total, and our AC has been working perfectly ever since. I am deeply disappointed in the dishonesty from Service Hero. They misdiagnosed the problem and pushed for thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs. I posted this review to Yelp and they claimed they were going to reach out to me immediately because they wanted to make things right. I want to note that no one from the company has yet reached out to me even though the owner was able to reach out to me directly when he wanted to close the unnecessary $4,000+ deal.

Had them come in to look at a single 5’ long 2” ABS pipe that broke in my crawlspace(pipe is $20 at Home Depot).

Quoted me $7,500. Not sure what the game here is, but people I know have repiped entire 2 story homes for that much.

Of course, I called them to ask if they meant to quote me $750. They said no, that that’s the standard price for this work. Why aren’t there more details in the quote? Their rep said that they don’t need to include them. No labor estimates, nothing!

I called a licensed independent plumber. He came in, fixed the issue for $500. Please stay away from these people. They wanted to take advantage of this being an emergency and that the layperson doesn’t know about plumbing.

Stay away so hopefully there can be honesty back in the trades. Too many swindlers like these people.

Jerry was great! Nothing but good things to say about my experience. He was quick and detailed with resolving my issue with both our sink garbage disposal and shower leak. He helped explain to me the differences between models in garbage disposals and also took the time to show me the problem with the one I had and why it wasn’t working as intended.

Best plumbing experience. Tommy is just fantastic. Knowledge and honest. He came with shoe covers and put down a mat, cleaned everything up so well. If I ever have another plumber, these are my people. A++++

I was hosting an event when my kitchen sink became badly clogged. I called Rooter Hero and Mario came out to help. Not only did he fix the drain quickly, but he worked so cleanly and efficiently that I was able to continue baking without any interruption. The company name truly fits — Mario was my hero for the day! Highly recommend.

Pablo my plumbing technician was excellent & efficient—it took him less than 15 minutes to unclog my shower drain which was very slow & backing up! He explained everything & I will definitely use Rooter Hero of Anaheim again . Just the very best service & so grateful for his excellent customer service & being on-time . His clean up was EXCELLENT & you wouldn’t even know I had a drain problem —he was so neat & tidy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jerry with Rooter Hero was awesome, and my whole experience with the company was great from my initial conversation with the intake call. I had a clogged shower drain and they were able to get Jerry out to fix it within a few hours, same day. Jerry was professional, knowledgeable and fast. Will use again!

Eric was amazing! Very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient! I called with a main line clog, and Eric was able to clear everything and get our system problem free within an hour. He checked the line with a camera and was able to explain what our problem was in detail. The pricing was reasonable and considerably less than what we had previously been quoted. First clog in the main bathroom sewer feeder line in 52 years. Of course, it happened just before Thanksgiving. Our friend, neighbor and long time plumber Dave Araujo told us he was not available. So we called Rachel at Ted & Bros. Ezekiel Bustos arrived the next afternoon ready to go. He cleared the pipe in no time. Great job Zeke!

We have a major problem with this company and their service. We were hoping it could be resolved in a professional manner with care, integrity and commitment to a high quality service but it has not been the case.

Last week we had your team come to our home to do a regular maintenance of the system (clear out the segment in the system etc). Our unit was installed in 2018 and is a very good Japanese brand (quiet).

The following day there was a major external leak coming from the system and out of no where a leak coming out of the upstairs bath tube both were not an issue initially. We called the plumber to come back to check his work and correct the issue and he told us we needed a new system completely and said it would cost us over $4500. We said we just cleaned the system how could this be possible. He said in clearing out the sediment there must have been an internal leak and now it was coming out externally.

In trusting his assessment we proceeded to replace our unit but said if we were to proceed we would want a unit that was the same quality as the one we installed with an internal pump to make it is quiet. And that is where everything continued to be a misleading nightmare.

They installed it but it had the pump missing and then they said we needed to fork out an additional $600. We said what? You didn’t even install the unit with all the necessary parts and now are requiring even more money. And when we found out they installed a unit which required an external pump (loud) instead of the internal one we asked for (quiet) we felt completely deceived. Now we have a very expensive unit which is loud and disruptive forcing us to turn on and turn off our system in the attic every time we need hot water so it is not only inconvenient but constantly making noise. We spent over $5000 with your company and it has been nothing but problems, expenses and 1/2 baked solutions with 1/2 of another problem remaining that require us to fork out more money to fix the prior error. We feel betrayed, taken advantage of and abandoned. We reached out to the owner several days ago to see if this can be resolved and rectified before posting this review, so they can fulfill on the agreement we had with them of installing a unit of the same quality with an internal pump, but he and his team have been non responsive for days. We are very disappointed.

What can be done to rectify this situation?

Ted of Ted and Brothers Pluming Inc. repaired my Toto wall toilet. I am extremely pleased with the work. Ted was on time, friendly and experienced. It was determined a part required replacing. He returned, installed it, checked everything carefully, and cleaned up the area. I had mentioned a sink problem which he quickly took care as well. The charges were very fair. It is very difficult to locate honest, excellent help when necessary. I highly recommend this company for all of your plumbing needs. I have already given their information to my friend.

I can always count on the Busto Brothers plumbing to do a great job no matter what they do. They are precise, clean, and always return things back to it's place when done. I highly recommend them. I have used them for quite a few years.

Ted & Bros. was fantastic. They responded quickly, showed up on time, were friendly & efficient, and charged a reasonable amount for my relatively small job. I've had other plumbers who don't show up, turn down smaller jobs, and/or charge outrageous amounts. So glad I found a plumber I can trust!

Ted & Bros Plumbing is an outstanding company. They installed our whole house water softener for us. From the estimate to the completion everything was excellent. Everything was as promised & always on time. Fabian was a great communiator as he progressed through the job. The ladys in the office were so professional and very responsive. This is a plumbing company you'll want to use.
