I had a 5 star experience with Cam and his team. They were professional from start to finish, and my new backyard looks fantastic !

You know how you look at other peoples yards on Pinterest, or watch someone transform their yard on Facebook or Instagram, even check out YouTube "How to videos".

I shared all of my (and my wife's) ideas and sketches with Cameron before he came out. After all we knew exactly what we wanted because we've been dreaming about it a long time.

Everything, and I mean everything he suggested completely blew us away. Well long story short - we did it Cams way. Sure a minor tweak here and there but thanks to Cam and his hard working team we were able to get our complete transformation.

My advice. When you have Cam out to design your dream be sure to be open to his priceless input.

BuiltbyCam was a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job installing hard scape and helping to create a sanctuary for our sauna. They also built and installed the sauna for us which was outside the scope of work to be performed. They completed the job on time and on budget which was remarkable. I had the pleasure of working with Cam on a backyard paver and front yard garden project. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Cam made lots of suggestions which allowed the project to keep moving. I'm very happy with the results. My back yard looks absolutely fantastic, and the front yard, with the new foliage and automatic irrigation system, is wonderful.

Built By Cam removed our old wooden fence and replaced it with a new vinyl fence, gates included. They did a terrific job and I would recommend them!

I stumbled upon Cam when he was working on a project at my neighbors home - so I walked over and asked for a quote on some fence repairs. He told me he’d be over on his lunch break to take a look, and as promised, he did just that. We agreed on a price and a date for the work, and three days later, he showed up on time, did the work as expected, maintained a clean work space, and charged a fair price. Five star service and a great end result. Cool guy too. I highly recommend Cam, and should the need arise, will definitely use him again.

When asked for a referral, our realtor gave us one solid name and that was all it took. From the first phone call to project completion, the timeline was only a few weeks, which is quite a feat in a world filled with project delays. Cameron helped transform our yard from a pile of mulch into a fully usable outdoor space. Cameron and team did a great job building a putting green and finish work including stones, lighting and some landscaping. Also built 20 cement stepping stones of various sizes around the perimeter. The job was completed very quickly and they worked long days. Professional and friendly, I looked forward to seeing the results each day!

Cam did landscape work at a project for us in Village Park in Encinitas. He did an awesome job! From concrete work to plant selections to a really cool and unique pergola - the work was done on time and great quality. More than that, Cam is wonderful to work with - kind, communicative, and he cares deeply. I would definitely recommend working with BiltbyCam for any projects in Encinitas or the surrounding areas.

We had a drainage and sprinkler problem that was exacerbated by the heavy rains and it caused damage to the interior bedroom wall. Cameron came and discussed what could be done suggesting a French drain and rocks. He and his crew came back the same week and finished the job in 2 days, just in time for another downpour! They worked quickly but efficiently showing attention to detail. As his site says, they will be broom clean when finished and they certainly were.
The landscaping looks great in the side yard and front yard and keeps water away from the exterior walls. We would definitely recommend BiltbyCam for anyone with a landscaping or drainage project. Cam provided a full service make-over at my recent home, both front and back yard. He upgraded the irrigation, planned the full design and brought his team in and out in a professional manner and super clean day to day on the project. The team was warm, friendly and attentive to all the details. That and they are fun to work with! The day he completed the project, I had a wonderful evening BBQ with friends who complimented the design not knowing it had just been refaced! I highly recommend working with BiltbyCam for a positive experience and beautiful end result.

Cam and his team did an amazing job on our landscaping. We did full landscaping on our front and backyard to include concrete, a fire pit, plants, turf and gates. We are so happy we went with Cam after interviewing multiple firms. Cam showed up as he said he would and got the job done on schedule. His pricing was competitive and we think the service is provided was superior to what we would have gotten with the other companies. We had such a great time working with him that he feels like part of the family now!

We have used Sand and Soleil services three years ago and again today. We will use them for our next project as well later this year.

They are the best landscaper design company out there. If you want a company that takes shortcuts when doing landscaping, this is NOT them.

I’ve had several landscaping companies over the past 25 years, they are by far the best. The Owner is well mannered and listens. He has a great vision and knows right away what works and what looks good.

3 years ago they completed a makeover on one side of yard from tropical to succulent garden. It’s stunning! This includes new irrigation control box (digging down into the hard heavy clay), moving half ton boulders, lots of river rocks and pea sized pebbles., large specimens of succulents and more!!
The new brass lighting - downward path lights and up lights for larger specimen - makes the yard glow!

What you pay upfront will save you $down the road of redos!!

Dishonest company. Lots of excuses, no interest in resolving damages to my property. It is never okay to LIE on the Calif state contractors license application which the owner admitted to doing.
2025 Update. I've been waiting since Nov24 for Sand and Soleil to address my questions and concerns about the landscape job. The lack of follow up is disappointing. I will update my post when the situation is resolved.

Ramon and his team did a great job on my yard! They were timely and efficient. I would highly recommend them for any project!

Ramon and team did a fantastic job with a fountain that we brought in from Morocco. The prepping of the site and the install went smoothly and we are excited to do some landscaping with huge terra cotta pots. We would use Sand and Soleil again in a heartbeat.

Sand & Soleil designed and built a large 42'Lx10'W pergola attached to our home. The workmanship was professional, excellent while keeping an eye on aesthetics and detail. Ramon, Manny and the entire crew completed the project in a timely manner and under budget. We highly recommend Ramon and Sand & Soleil.

Sand and Soleil did an excellent job on my backyard installing turf and putting in a low barrier/retaining wall--on time and within the estimated budget.

Further, Ramon was extremely helpful and proactive in offering solutions and ways to help reduce my out-of-pocket costs for the work. He even noticed, and helped to not only fix, but also showed my how to correct problems with my recently installed irrigation system (done by a different contractor). I have had work done by various landscaping companies over the years and for different homes, but any future work being done in my yard I will be calling Sand and Soleil. I would highly recommend them for any landscaping project.
