Very nice trees. Kayla was very helpful and knowledgeable. I had no idea what trees cost. Avocado trees can cost $8000 each?!?!? Who knew.... obviously not this guy!

Staff gave us helpful advice on what type of plants to purchase and correct spacing. Lots of planting instructions for the best possible results. Lots of selection and we will return for more!

Kayla was very helpful and she helped us pick the perfect additions for our design! Great selection and prices! Number 1 spot to shop for sure!!

Andres, Matt, Zach and Randall planted my tree today. They were able to get this giant tree off their truck and into the ground and they obviously know what they are doing. Thanks, guys! I love my tree and I really appreciate your hard work getting it planted!

Lots of beautiful plants,trees & flowers etc. Staff is very friendly & helpful... Brian is the 1 that helped us 2day & it is great & a blessing 2 finally find someone that knows what they're talking about. Brian was also very polite & makes sure u r happy with the services at the nursery...

In spite of 98 degree heat, McKenzie at the Chino Hills location was fabulous! She asked if she could help and if there was anything she could help us find. She was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. When the weather cools a bit, we will definitely come back.

Richard and his crew (Gary, Ed, Chris and Ruben) were Awesome! They came over and planted my trees on time and cleaned up after themselves . The whole crew was very friendly and knowledgeable on where was best to put the trees in my yard. Thank you!

My husband and I went to Moon Valley to buy some tree's. The sales lady said the trees we picked (between the 3 different tree's she showed us) would not hurt the block wall or the block planter where we planned to plant the tree's (I showed her pictures and gave her the measurements). She convinced us to pay the extra money to have MVN come out and plant the tree's. She said they would do everything, dig the holes, prep the soil, add supplements or whatever our soil needed for the tree's to thrive. So when MVN came out to plant the tree's I was a little disappointed. The only thing they did was dig a shallow hole, threw a small amount of soil conditioner in the hole then put the tree's in the hole. I asked the guy's who were doing the work if the tree roots would grow through the hard dirt below. Two of the guy's said that the roots would grow trough concrete. So now I'm a little concerned about the wall. The guy's that came out were very nice.
We paid $1,800.00 for something we could have done ourselves.. Unless you physically are unable to do it yourself, save yourself some money. We could have spent a couple hundred dollars on soil conditioner and mulch from the local hardware store, spent a few hours planting our own tree's and would have been $1,500.00 ahead. Please do your own research before purchasing, and shop around.

I had to remove/kill my husband's favorite plant, a Plumbago Auriculata when we installed our turf and it made him very sad. After calling the nearby nurseries, most not having any, and the one that said they did looked more like a Mursery with all the dead plants and trash, I finally called Moon Valley, super nice lady told me they had the plant!! I drove there in 10 minutes and was out the door in 3, including checkout. Wonderful customer service, super friendly staff!

I made an appt for the Chino store designer, Andrew Chesla to come out and received a text from him 31 mins prior to our appt time saying he got too busy and was not able to make it. Common courtesy 1-2 hours in you need to notify your customer that you may be running late, and when I told him I would report the incident to management, all of a sudden he could come 2 1/2 hours past the appt time. Then, to add insult to injury, he calls me 1 1/2 hour later to say, I live beyond the 20 mi radius and would be charged, which wasn't mentioned until then after having my address when I scheduled the appt online days ago. Apparently, they are used to getting complaints because efforts to talk to someone in corporate is like passing an act of Congress. Of course I decided to go with another nursery, and if you are wise you will too. I was forced to give them 1 star when they deserved 0. Let's call this post..."Too Busy For Business"

We just purchased a Magnolia tree from Moon Valley in Chino. The salesperson Jessica was extremely knowledgable and helpful in picking out our tree. Their installation crew lead by Don delivered and planted the tree with care and gave us lots tips on how to help the tree flourish. They were on time, professional, friendly, and considering the heat seemed to all get along like old friends. Thanks!

Until this day I feel taken: We purchased a
hass avocado tree a few years ago. It was a very nice big tree around 10 feet tall. We were informed it would give avocados the first year. We were also informed the workers will prep the dirt and bring additional fertilizer, nutrients to soften our clay soil. All they brought was shredded wood chips and mixed it with our soil. They literally made the hole big enough to just fit the root of the tree. Our soil is very hard and not sure how the tree was going to survive. Well it did not. Since we had purchased the warranty it was replaced but with an unknown type of avocado plant that was shaped like a bush that was approximately 3 1/2 feet tall. We paid approx. $1000.00 for the tree which included the $100.00 for a 1 year warranty. This tree died too. I was frustrated by this entire situation and was going to let it go. However everytime I went to my backyard I was reminded how we were taken. I end up calling back. The staff was willing to work with us by giving us 50% off a new purchase. We just said forget it because we realize for that price we can go somewhere else and purchase a good size tree compare to their 1/2 price off. I just feel they should have offered us a free plant. I would have been happy with a small palm tree...something. Everytime we see advertisements or their set ups at home shows we just nod our heads with disappointment.

We purchased a peach cocktail tree, a fig tree and a pomegranate tree with Rick Wright about 3-4 months ago. The peach tree has both peach leave curl and bacteria spot diseases. Almost 95% of the leaves have bacteria spots now. I called Rick early today and he said he was busy with a customer in the fields. He promised to call me later when he got back to the office. No response until 5 pm. So i called again. This time he was in the office but he said it was impossible to talk to me because a customer walked in. I was very disappointed at his attitude and the customer service he provided. He probably doesn't care about his old customers because he can only earn his commission through new purchases.

We went in looking for a lemon try and left extremely pleased with the service, the nursery, the staff friendliness, and most of all the tree. I am most definitely coming back here and will buy from Hans. If you come, all the people here are super sweet and helpful but Hans was the best.

I wouldn't recommend this place. We were in a hurry because the artificial grass installer wanted to finish the install, so we ran over to Moon Valley to purchase our fruit trees. The salesperson was very nice, but didn't know anything about fruit trees. We noticed that two of our trees in the 24 box size were about the size of a 5 gallon size plant, we asked when these had been planted from the 5 gallon into this 24 box container, again, deer in the headlight look, no answer. Anyway, you can tell when a plant has been recently transferred when they go to install it and all the dirt falls away during the transfer and the only compacted part is the 5 gallon or 15 gallon amount of dirt. Which is what happen with the 2 smaller plants. So even though they give you a discount if you purchase 3 fruit trees at a time. We know we were screwed big time on these two tiny trees. You can also tell, when they are being held up with a tiny metal spike rather then a big wood tree stick. Everyone is nice, those golf carts are always out of order or drive like a Disneyland ride. If I had had the time I would have gone to Adams Nursery in Morino Valley. And the 90 day warranty speaks for itself. Sad that companies run their businesses like this. I'd tell everyone to go someplace else...

Kayla assisted us today and she was such a pleasure to work with. From the start she guided us, informed us, asked questions, and made suggestions. She even went as far as providing us a sketch that helped us visualize the various shrubs / plants chosen and worked this us on selecting the quantities that made the most sense to make sure it was balanced out nicely in quantity and color. Seriously, she went above and beyond, and for this novice, very highly appreciated. We made the right choice to visit Moon Valley Nurseries, and will definitely be back to the Chino location (hopefully when Kayla is working) simply because of the great service. You are a star Kayla, and we hope your employer agrees and appreciates you and takes care of you. Thanks for all your help today!

I always drive by and finally had some time to upgrade my garden. I can't say enough about the young lady, Kayla, that helped me and my wife. She helped us find the perfect selections and was very humorous, which made the experience more fun. I didn't feel like I was being "sold" anything and am beyond happy with the items we purchased. Since our first visit, we've gone back twice and added a few more pieces. I highly recommend this nursery and hope you as for miss Kayla.

We're definitely not 100% satisfied with our purchase. Even though Chad & Catalina tried to rectify the negative issues (misleading sales person/dishonest), both of you lacked proper communication amongst yourselves and to us. At times you both seemed bothered by me when I asked for updates. We only wanted what we paid for and trusted what Mckenzie said, but it was all bogus.
What we received isn't worth what we paid. We're embarrassed to show our plants or talk about our purchase to our guest. I have told people to NOT ever go to Moon Valley Nursery because of our negative experience.
Overall, customer service wasn't good, quality of plants was underwhelming, sales rep was friendly but dishonest, delivery guys were polite and did their job well.
I wish we knew it was an option to tag our own trees, I wish I read the reviews before visiting your nursery, I feel like a fool trusting Mckenzie and blindly purchasing plants without seeing them, our mistake.
This whole experience has been frustrating, a waste of energy, time, and money. I would not recommend this nursery to anyone and do not plan on purchasing anything else from Moon Valley Nursery again. We are not 100% satisfied.

Chris and his team were nice enough to give us a call prior to arriving. They did a great job of planting 4 very large trees. They communicated well, addressing any issues as they did the install. Great attitude and did a good job cleaning up when they were done.

I had great service and the great experience planting three large trees in my backyard, Luis Junior, Luis, Juan and Brian did an exceptional job they cleaned up afterwards and I was so Satisfied with their work and the trees that they planted I would recommend moon nursery out of Chino any day. Cristiana, the general manager brought an extra crew with her after they saw that there was gonna be extra work needed. My head off to Christiana and her team.
