They are by far the worst submitted a claim through my home warranty and they were assigned, job was never completed and didn't deliver what was promised. Worst customer service ever tech Luis Vasquez never returned my call after I told him he stated the repairs that needed to be done but never completed them hate that first American home warranty went through them.

Agree with other Yelp reviewers that Ethan's level of service and professionalism was subpar. He didn't even make it out to the home warranty appointment today. My husband phoned him finally when it was past the time window and he basically said it wasn't his fault and something else got messed up(?). Then he tried to punt it saying how the problem probably isn't covered under warranty anyway. Well how does one know that without even coming onto the property to diagnose it?? I then called him for second time telling him to be accountable since he missed the appointment and to come out asap. He gave some excuse that well he's not in the area at all and won't be free until probably next week! Then he said something about red flagging me, like it's my fault he missed the appt? Way to threaten a customer and that's awesome professional service. He seems super suspect and I would stay far away from this company as possible (maybe they need to retrain Ethan or consider replacing him with someone else).

Absolutely horrible. Was sent out a technician from Aqua Brite Pools in response to a First American Home Warranty claim. After my pool pump suffered a complete failure, the technician wrote up the problem as being an electronic problem, which was not covered under the warranty. The technician barely looked at the pump and instead spent the entire time setting low expectations for their service (saying the pump would likely be replaced by a refurbished unit that he has personally seen fail within 1 month). Very unethical and unprofessional business. I went on to hire another Pentair technician who correctly diagnosed the problem as a complete pump failure. He started by replacing the drive and then the pump still did not run, so he replaced the motor, which fixed the problem. So the problem was a total pump failure and not a problem with the electronic controls. This company is a sham, using their contract with First American to collect a quick $75, and then, if approved to replace a part, is given free reign to replace the part with whatever junk they can find. What an unethical business model. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Ian at Aqua Brite was absolutely incredible. The company was professional, always on time, and was able to fix a botched job from a previous company that our home warranty sent out. Above all, He made himself accessible to questions via text message when I was at work. Thank you Ian & Aqua Brite for good service. I highly recommend if you are searching for help with your pool.

Aqua Brite was dispatched to us by our home warranty company. I contacted our warranty company on a Thursday and by Friday Ian from Aqua Brite had approval to do the necessary work, had our parts in and had contacted me to schedule a time to come complete to work. By Monday morning at 10 a.m. Ian arrived and had the work completed!!! This is the second time he’s been to our home to complete work and has provided excellent customer service both times. Thank you Ian and Aqua Brite Pools. We appreciate you.

The is a contractor that First American Home Warranty sent to replace my pool pump. I immediately looked at yelp reviews and asked First American to send a different contractor due to all the bad reviews. They refused stating they won't do that just based on reviews. Ian was sent out who barely looked at it. They made an appointment to install what was supposed to be a new pump then cancelled it without notifying me after I took a day off of work to be home. I called the office to ask specifically if it was to be a new pump or rebuilt pump based on reviews stating they say it's new but that's not what gets installed. He came to install it and I watched to make sure it appeared new. He took it out of a sealed box so I assumed it was. I am getting ready to have the pool itself redone and have had several pool contractors out to give estimates. They all told me my pump was a single speed pump. I had a variable speed pump which the same insurance company made me upgrade to bring it up to code. I called Ian who indicated that the insurance company authorized a rebuilt single speed pump. So you're telling me you downgraded my pump to something that is not up to code and you lied when you told me it was new. Either Aqua Brite Pools is scamming the insurance company or they are in cahoots together. Reporting them to every agency I can think of. I would give them negative stars if I could.

This company is by far the best pool company I've used in Fresno and we have used quite a few. What sets them apart is their professionalism, expertise, and timeliness. They truly care about their customers and providing the best service possible. We had an ongoing issue with a pool spa heater. They assessed the problem quickly and worked with the home warranty company to make the repair happen.They were very good about communicating where we were in the process and when the repair would get done. And then even the day of the repair they kept me posted as to when they would be here and an exact arrival time which is very rare these days for anyone that comes to your house to do work. They give you these big time windows but not aquabrite. They respect the fact that you have other things to do in your life other than to sit around and wait for them to show up. I would completely trust them with any repair and will call them with any future repair. I know they have my best interest at heart. I highly recommend the company and I highly recommend Ian who worked on our pool spa heater. I will never call any other company.

I had a great experience with Aqua Brite. Ian was great. The work looks great and there are no leaks. I was referred to them through my home warranty company, but I would use their services outside of that contract as well. Thanks for a job well done!

AQUA BRITE POOLS, with Ian and his coworker did an amazing job with the pool pump. Quick diagnosis of all the problems and repairs. They were quick, friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend Aqua Brite Pools for service and maintenance of your pool system. Outstanding!!

This horrible company was assigned to me by our home warranty. They never called to schedule an appointment with me. One day my phone just blows up mid business meeting and it’s Luis, the Aqua Bright pool guy trying to enter my home. My wife saw him through the window and he didn’t even inspect what he was supposed to. He took one look and left. Then typed up a “report” about his “findings” to my warranty provider.
This is the worst quality pool “service” imaginable. I will ensure no one I know even considers Aqua Brite
Edit: They replied to this review, further showing they’re unethical. My wife watched the technician Luis do absolutely nothing. Furthermore, they don’t know my contract with my warranty which does cover filters, hence me reaching out and getting a company that will actually do their jobs.
Your technician is lazy, a liar, and so is your web person.

Such a great experience with Aqua Brite Pools!! Our pool pump stopped working and even though we were going through our home warranty, Ian did his best to get the work approved, pump ordered, get us on the schedule and complete the work before our vacation!! It was such a pleasure working with Ian. Very progressional and responsive. Could not of asked for better service!! Thank you!!

Had to use this company due to my home warranty. David came out today and was so rude. He asked what’s my issue and I said pool light is out, pool heater and jets won’t come on. He immediately said your warranty doesn’t cover your pool light. I said does your company “aqua brite pool” change pool lights, and he said no. I said do you recommend anybody to change my pool light and he said no, I don’t know anyone. I then said well what’s the issue with the Jets then and he said oh you just got to turn something. He didn’t even check to see what the issue is. He couldn’t even be a gentleman and show me what I’m supposed to turn. Bad customer service. I left a message for the company early and they never returned my phone call.

They were courteous and honest about their timeline to replace my pool motor. Ian was my technician and he was informative and easy to work with. This the company chosen through First American Home Warranty. I loved their dispatch process and the way they kept me informed on where I stood in my appointment time window. I would recommend them.

The worst - DO NOT USE! Had to deal with them before through American Home Warranty and after numerous rescheduing snafus on their end, the technician showed up with his girlfriend and they were dangling their feet in our pool!!! Now their technician Ethan told me to call him and when I did, he got upset because I didn't know what pump it was. My husband called
/sent in the request, not me and he just had back surgery so I didn't want to wake him about the pump. I took the photos Ethan asked for and when I asked what would happen next he said "Nothing" -- seriously? Then I got a call from the woman in the office who was equally rude and told me Ethan was one of their senior techs and I would just have to deal with him. I've got a call into American Home Warranty and hopefully I won't ever have to deal with this company and their rude employees again.

Do NOT use Aqua Brite services for anything to do with pool equipment. We filed a home warranty claim on our pool’s booster pump. When they came to do the install, they mixed up our order with another customer and replaced our working pump and did not touch the booster pump. They then tried to charge us $1,000 for it and when they realized their mistake, they tried negotiating to sell it to us for $700. We told them our original pump was fine and we just want our booster pump fixed.

They said they would have to come back a different day to complete the job and to go ahead and use the new pump they installed in the meantime. However, the new pump they installed did not work. It took over 3 weeks and multiple unanswered calls before I finally got a response. They were very apologetic and said they would fix everything. People make mistakes, so I was still optimistic at this point.

They returned again with the incorrect item for our pump which we caught and they luckily had the correct item in their vehicle. They replaced the parts, but apparently do not know anything about electrical wiring. They shut off our power while working on the system and then left without saying anything. I assumed they were leaving to get something an come back.

Shortly after, I received a call from the warranty company stating that Aqua Brite contacted them and told them that someone at our residence messed with the wiring and caused them to short out the entire control panel which is not covered under warranty. The control panel was working before they arrived and they were the last ones to touch the wires from the first install.

So apparently they decided to just leave without saying anything and without turning the power back on and then try to blame it on us. We called out an electrician who took 2 minutes to identify that Aqua Brite wired the control panel incorrectly and it is not broken. He corrected the wiring that they did and the pumps fired right up. They need to train their employees better regarding their trade as well as professionalism. It should also be noted that they NEVER brought back our original working pump that they took the first time, which was a Hayward, and instead replaced it with a much cheaper product.

Ian is awesome! Aqua Brite was called for possible warranty replacement on my pool equipment. Ian showed up to assess my pool pump issues. Came back when parts were available, replaced pumps, and did a great installation. He went over the new system with me, and was a pleasure to chat with. Ian was polite, on time, and provided trustworthy service. Hopefully Ian can be my go to guy if and when service is needed again with my pool.

I am rescinding my previous 5-star review. Ian, the pool technician, was excellent. But he is no longer working there and it shows! No one will answer your phone calls at Aqua Brite. You can leave messages, but they will not respond. After multiple calls to reschedule my service date I finally got a txt message, on the day that I was trying to reschedule (I was going to be out of town). They said they were coming to fix the heater with no authorization to enter the property. I had no idea if they actually fixed it and my repeated calls and text messages have gone unanswered. I am writing this review while out of town and I am still in the dark as to the outcome after leaving multiple calls and text messages. The customer service at Aqua Brite is incredibly poor.

They did a great job. Ian did a repair of my pool’s booster pump. He diagnosed the issue in a split second. The parts took a while to come in for the repair, but he was upfront about the timing and what I should expect. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and all around a real professional.

These guys are scam artists. Stay away.

They sold me a “refurbished” pump which broke within 1 month of installing and then completely disappeared and didn’t return 9 phone calls and voicemail messages over a 2 month period. They wouldn’t even return phone calls from our insurance company.

I just had another pool company come take a look at what they gave us and the guy laughed at what Aqua Brite Pools had installed. He said it was clear Aqua beige pool knew there was an issue with the pump.

I’ll be reporting Aqua Brite Pools to the BBB and been putting a formal request to have them removed from my insurance companies recommended companies list.

Stay away.

Ethan our service tech was awesome. Came to our home, serviced our pool
heater and explained what was wrong with it. He was friendly and knowledgeable about my problem!!! I would recommend him and his company for problems with your pool/equipment.

Our pool pump stopped working and Aqua Brite was contacted by our home warranty company. I am so happy they did. Both Aqua Brite technicians were extremely professional and knowledgeable and worked to get us a new more energy efficient pump. It went through all the channels quickly and was installed within a couple weeks. I will definitely request them for any future pool needs. 5 star service!
