After extensive research, my wife and I hired Cascadian landscaping for our backyard landscaping project. We moved into a home specifically for the views so the landscape design and construction was extremely important to us. Bob and his team did am amazing job and the final result exceeded our expectations. The quality of work is amazing! The skill sets of his team are extensive. We were able to work with Bob in a very fair manner regarding scope management and any change orders we requested and approved. Everyone who has seen the backyard comments on the quality! Our project included an extensive covered BBQ and kitchen area, sunken hot tub, vegetable planters, a large sitting area with fire table, and a covered extension to our California family room. All with beautiful plantings, lights and turf. We are very happy with our decision to engage with Cascadian Landscaping!

John and his crew are masters of their trade, we couldn’t be happier with their performance, quality, craftsmanship and professionalism. The team was patient with our frequent design changes and hectic scheduling, accommodated all our requests. Our yard turned out beautiful. Don’t mind lots of open space in pictures, this will be a developing garden over time, but the foundational work is done perfectly by JWA, dry river bed, irrigation lines, waterfall, creating space for us to enjoy and add variety of plants as time goes on.

We hired John and JWA to put in a built in BBQ and patio cover. The project came out looking very nice. There were some issues, but they came out an fixed all the things I pointed out to them. I also appreciate that they did a little extra to make things right.

Largest lot in Heritage. John came by almost daily to check on progress and make adjustments as requested by my wife....lol. Outstanding job from start to finish. Zen arch, patio cover, concrete patio and 100 yd. walkway (radio control car racetrack), garden boxes, studio pad, 15 boulders, rock wall, dozen of plants and trees, full irrigation system, lighting, flag pole, fence staining, rattlesnake fencing, bark, gravel, on and on. They have also been very responsive to a coupla' small issues that later developed, nothing major. Great crew, very professional and they sure went the extra mile for us. First class all the way. They aren't cheap but you certainly get value and professionalism. Highly recommended by the owner of one of the coolest yards in Heritage.

JWA did my concrete work, landscaping and installed a beautiful awning. They did a perfect job- the concrete looks great, the awning is perfect and the yard looks beautiful. I highly recommend them. And they finished early!

Each phase required a different set of professionals. All of the guys showed up on time, worked hard and were very friendly and informative about the process. We couldn't be happier with the final outcome!

JWA installed our backyard landscaping in 2017. They performed on-time and on-budget with a very professional crew. Time has proved the high quality of their work. In addition, they have been exceptionally responsive to follow-up questions. I would definitely use JWA Landscape again which is why I recommend this company.

We just had JWA Landscape help us put in our new backyard, which we are thrilled with. They did an excellent job installing low voltage lighting, gas lines for a built-in BBQ, laying a stamped concrete patio and walkways, laying beautiful limestone tile in our front walk and courtyard as well as back patio, and planted trees and shrubs and placed large boulders and rocks very artistically. They did a great job, were prompt and thorough, had great follow through,and the workers had a fantastic work ethic. Dave, the onsite supervisor, kept things moving and was always on top of everything. We highly recommend JWA and plan to used them again.

We had JWA put stamped color concrete in our backyard. he was quick to respond and get the job but aside from all other issues back and forth with his designer and delay in our project what was most disappointing the amount of money we paid for concrete that cracked literally on the next day after it was poured. We are now 10 months after concrete was poured and left with multiple cracks throughout the patios. We have had the same type of stamped colored concrete at our previous property and for 5 years there never saw any cracks. Not only the cracked concrete, but JWA crew dropped metal clip for the irrigation system in our brand new pool and we did not see until the pool guy came and pulled it out. It has now stained our plaster. When we reached out to JWA to let them know, they just brushed us off and said it will wash off. It has been 10 months and the stain is still very visible which is a costly repair now. Do not recommend his services. He is a great salesman but really goes back and forth on the estimate.

We hired JWA to do a complete overhaul on our new home's bak yard last year. Not only did John, the owner of the company, come to our house personally to walk us through the quoting process, but he was there every step of the way during from the design process until its completion.

Our rear yard was comprised of not only hard clay but a considerable amount of rocks, and John's team was able to turn it into a Tahoe-like paradise in a shorter amount of time than the original quoted completion date.

Unfortunately, a couple of our trees did not make it but just after one telephone call explaining the issue, John did not hesitate to replace the trees. John stands behind his team's work and always strives to make the customer happy. I would suggest anyone looking for a landscaping project to hire JWA without hesitation.

John and his staff did a wonderful job on my front and back yard. The landscapers, carpenters, and concrete installers were very professional and did excellent work. John kept a close eye on the work being done and made sure everything was done to his exacting standards. All the changes I requested were accommodated with ease. I am very happy with the results and all the work was done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend JWA Landscape and Concrete.

Chose JWA to landscape our backyard after they were recommended by our development Lennar Heritage and also because they had done an excellent job for my Mom many years ago. The owner, John, came out to the house and wrote up plans on the spot with some excellent suggestions we hadn’t considered. As soon as I got HOA approval, they started work almost immediately and over the course of the next several weeks I was always able to reach John or his workers supervising various stages of the job on the same day. The landscape architect reviewed the plans over Zoom and I was able to tweak it on the spot to my satisfaction. Jeff delivered the plants which were specifically chosen to address my wife’s allergy concerns and supervised their exact placement. He also patiently explained to me how to use the irrigation controls. Mike was in charge of designing the trellises and installing gas and electric lines for our grill and fountain and even helped me understand the controls of my grill which I had purchased separately. JWA is not inexpensive but I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a first class yard.

JWA Landscaping & Concrete did a phenomenal job on my
backyard. John Anderson, the owner of the company was
very knowledgeable and personable. He set up a meeting with
Mel Hatch, his landscape architect and in the subsequent
meeting, Mel suggested some terrific ideas. A week later,
he sent the plans to me along with some mockup pictures and
I loved them. Dave, the project manager, came next with his
crew and began the work. He was available for questions I had,
and his crews were fantastic workers, all worked hard at their
specific jobs. John made periodic reviews during the work.
The process was timely and turned out better than I expected.

We could not be happier with the work JWA Landscape & Concrete Construction did on our front and back yard. We wanted to create a garden and deck that would pretty serve as a mini retreat right in our own backyard. And we can safely say that John and his team made our vision come alive . John had previously done our backyard for our previous home and looking at the quality of work, we knew whom to call for our current home . John came out and gave us a free and fair estimate estimate, and the important thing to note here is that JWA workers are directly employed for the company and aren't contracted out by a 3rd party for the job which is another reason we would recommend John and team.

You get what you pay for! They might not be the most inexpensive option but their prices are fair, the contractors are highly skilled, work is very professional, and they ensure your job is completed on time in the way you want it!

Wow! I could not be happier with the work JWA Landscape & Concrete Construction did on my front yard. I wanted to create a patio oasis completed with a fire pit, and John's team went above and beyond to make my vision come true (see pictures). When my friend told me they were voted the #1 Landscape & Concrete Construction company in El Dorado Hills, I had to see why. They came out and gave me a free estimate, and when I found out all JWA workers are directly employed for the company and aren't contracted out by a 3rd party for the job like many companies, I had to go with them. You get what you pay for! While they aren't the most inexpensive option, their prices are fair, the contractors are highly skilled, work is very professional, and they go above and beyond to make sure your job is completed on time and just the way you want it! THANK YOU JWA for making my vision come to life! My family and I will be enjoying our patio and fire pit for many years to come.

Just blown away by our now GORGEOUS newly renovated front and backyards!! Not only are the folks at JWA incredibly professional, they know exactly what they’re doing and do it well! We now have new (properly installed) drainage, an efficient irrigation and drip system set up for all the new plants, an artificial grass play area for our pups, two gorgeous rock gardens, new stairs (with custom hand-railing) up to a brand new patio area with a pergola that closes for shade and opens for the stars at night, landscaping with lighting, as well as beautiful plants to finish it all off. Couldn’t be happier!

We were referred to JWA through my parents as well as several of their neighbors who had John landscape their yards. Our house is newly built and therefore a blank canvas for landscaping options.

We had several contractors come out and give us hand wavy quotes and vague ideas and recommendations. Most didn't even bother to get back to us with a final cost or show further interest in doing our yard as it wasn't a $100k+ job.

When John came out for a quote he sat down with us in the backyard and truly listened to what we wanted. He helped us visualize our ideas and provided recommendations. On the same visit he provided a cost break down for every item we were interested in having done which helped us in deciding which items were must haves and those that weren't as necessary and worth the cost. The transparency of the costs and John's straightforward and helpful demeanor were ultimately what sealed the deal for us.

Once our HOA approved our design, we were on John's schedule and work steadily progressed on the yard, turning our once baron dirt dessert into an oasis attached to the back of our home. The interactions with John and his team along the entire journey were clear and as expected. John and team were able to help us make some additions and changes along the way such as adding in an autofill for our fountain and gates for our garden.

I think the end result speaks for itself and we are now proud to invite family and guests over to enjoy our new home inside and out.
