My experience started with a meeting with James.  He went in depth about everything from the cost savings, to the system, to financing, as well as my rights as a solar consumer.  I felt like I was being educated versus sold.  The latter is how I felt during previous conversations regarding solar.

Once I made the decision to go forward, I completed the necessary paperwork and submitted the requested documents.  I was informed of each next step throughout the process.  Everyone I have spoken to at Future Energy has been friendly, professional and helpful.  The install was done very well.  I love the their team takes pride in their work.  Down to painting the conduit to match the color of your house.

The financing company (Mosaic) that they work is equally as informative.  If you take the time to read through the terms, you go over them 3 to 4 different times throughout the contract.  On top of that, a rep from Mosaic schedules a call with you to verbally go through all of the terms to make sure you have a clear understanding.

I've already started to see my PG&E bill drop by about $130 and that only included about a 2 week period after my install.  I can't wait to see my next statement. Who says that about their electric and gas bill?!?

What has been most impactful for me so far is having the battery that stores your excess solar power.  This is connected to a few primary circuits in my home which keeps all the essentials running during a power outage.  The main living areas, internet, kitchen, hall bathroom.  I was able to experience the benefit of this just one week after my system was installed.  We had a pretty large power outage through a large portion of the city.  My neighbor was without power for approximately 2 hours.  However, I was not.  I was only without for about 2-3 minutes while the system recognized the outage and switched me over to my battery.  This is very important to me since I work from home.  I happened to be on a work call at the time the power went out.  All I had to do was pause momentarily and apologize for the brief technical delay, and on I went with my work.  Otherwise, I would have had to reschedule resulting in my work being delayed.

I am very happy with my decision to go solar with Future Energy Savers.

Our solar panel and battery system installation with Future Energy Savers was completed in November and we have had a great experience to date. Aimee, our sales representative was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. The pre-installation steps moved forward quickly, and they were able to fit us in around some other jobs, being flexible with our schedule – getting us completely installed and running in about three weeks. The team that completed the install was very nice, helpful, and professional. We did have one issue a couple weeks after our system should have been up and working (following go ahead from PG&E). Turns out that it was a WIFI connection issue, but Future Energy Savers had a technician out within a few hours to fix the problem free of charge. We are already noticing a different in our utility bills but are excited to see our investment really begin to pay off in the spring and summer months as the sun is our more and the daylight hours are longer.

Shout Out to Future Energy Solar Corporation - we are less than a year in Sun. City - Normally abhor door knockers. And having succumbed to one 3 weeks ago at most. HUGE THANK YOU to Riley, Lisa, Margie, Rob, Devlin and crew. I've been in corporate sales and service over 40 years and have the utmost respect for sales and service PROFESSIONALS - ones that can/will/do look one in the eye and walk their talk. This is a local company(Elk Grove), seasoned( Their product is top shelf(Generac) American Made. I'm not one that easily dishes out praise - and this group of people ALL deserve it. Job very well done!

I recently purchased solar through this company and the whole process from start to finish was very smooth. If I had any questions or concerns they were very fast in addressing them. The staff members that I dealt with have all been very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to purchase solar.

Do not open your home to this company. They bang in the doors of homes with NO SOLICITING signs. The sales rep Nate knocked and yelled to me through the door so loudly that he woke me up from a nap. Instead of being apologetic in any way of when I notified him of my no soliciting sign he bragged that I was welcome to call his boss or the cops.

This is not just the problem of a single employee…. There are SO MANY complaints on yelp and google and Facebook of this same exact problem happening to other people. This means the MANAGEMENT ARE ENCOURAGING THIS ILLEGAL AND UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR. Do not invite this unapologetic company to work on your home.

The whole process was easy. The sales rep was professional. Installation crew was here on time, competed the job is a timely manner. There was a situation with the pg&e box, the crew got pg&e out here to fix it right away. Overall, i was very happy with the sales rep and the installation crew.

I bought a 7.5KW panel array, with a backup battery system. The Battery as well as the inverter box are American made. The installation was a fast 2 days. I am very happy with the products, the service, and the efficiency of the installation crew. I cannot describe the thrill of seeing the panels working on the phone app as the system puts power back on the grid after the battery is fully charged, that’s earned credit.

Future Energy Savers were a pleasure to work with. From the first meeting to the installation of the system the process was easy. The representative (James Krohn) that came to our house was fantastic. He walked us through the entire process and help secure the loan needed for the project. The installation was way easier than I could have imagined. It was a one-day installation with only 1hr of power down time all day. Fantastic installation crew.

I used Future Energy Savers for both redoing my roof as well as solar installation with backup battery. The entire team for both the solar install as well as the reroofing were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. The sales team came out twice-- once for the solar quote then again the next week with the roofing quote. While not the cheapest, their quality of goods using Generac systems and GAF Master Elite System roofing materials more than makes up for the price.

The system and roof were both done within 3 days. The crew showed me how to use the Generact PWRview app on my phone to view my solar system working as well as how to monitor it from the installed device in the garage.

I feel good knowing my roof has a 50 year defect coverage warranty and 30 year misapplication warranty. As well as the benefits of the unique roofing materials that let moisture out but not in and the unique ventilation system that cools the attic in the summer months, it just plain looks nice.

I shouldn't need a new roof within the rest of my lifetime in this house, but, if I ever find myself in a new place, and need a roof or solar, Future Energy Savers is my go to!

Absolutely unacceptable experience. This company has harassed me with constant calls, texts, and even uninvited visits to my home—despite repeatedly asking them to stop. I never gave them permission to contact me in the first place. It felt aggressive, invasive, and completely unprofessional. If this is how they treat people before a sale, I can’t imagine what working with them would be like afterward. Avoid at all costs. They continue to call me and harass me. I am reporting them to BBB

I made it perfectly clear to the sales person that this has to be an off grid system. I confirmed this several times as well. The guy shows up an hour and a half late so I wasted my time sitting around waiting for him. Then he gets there with a lame excuse. We drive another 10 miles to the site and he tells me they don’t do off grid systems. I wasted 6 hours of my time getting up in the middle of the night to be on time for nothing. This is a very poorly run company. Find someone else to install your system

Great service from Future Energy on the solar system they sold and installed. From the initial contact with the sales rep to follow-up from office staff, engineer and installation techs—all representatives from this company have been prompt, friendly, professional. Very happy with my system; I had previously consulted five other solar companies and none could come up with a reasonable system/price because my energy usage is so low for my small house. Future Energy Savers made my dream of going solar a reality, and the whole process, from sales and financing (at a competitive rate) to installation and final inspection, took less than a month. Highly recommend this company!

Future Energy Savers made solar installation easy. My first meeting was with Dale Groat. He explained the entire process of solar installation. He reviewed my current energy bill and gave me an of the cost savings of the solar program with a cost estimate and and approximate time period that solar installation would pay for itself. He was very thorough and patient. The financing paper work as well as the paper work with regards to city permits were all handled seamlessly by Future Energy Savers.

The solar installation team arrived early and got to work right away. They finished the entire installation in less than 4 hours. The installers were very polite and professional and caused minimal disruption.

A thorough follow-up appointment with Zachary went well. He made sure we were familiar with the system and that we knew how to monitor our solar system production on line and with the Enlighten phone app.

The overall experience was positive. There were no unpleasant surprises and the entire process went as smooth as possible. I would certainly recommend them to anyone interested in adding a solar energy system to their house.

I first learned about Future Energy Savers from my Cousin who had his house setup with solar. He would not stop talking about how happy he was with his panels and the service he received from Future Energy.

When we decided to get Solar, our first call was to Future Energy Savers. The salesman we worked with was extremely knowledgeable in the field of solar energy and its benefits and he was quick to make us aware that not all households can benefit from Solar. He requested a 12 month history of our energy usage so he could examine our household energy consumption, and determine whether or not Solar will really benefit us. I was pleased to know that our expectations and satisfaction were his #1 goal, and not just him trying to nail down another sale.

After they had a couple days to review our usage, we set up a meeting with our salesman and he spent a couple hours with us in our home going over every single detail. Answering every question we had, and raising concerns we never thought of. At the end of the meeting, we had selected a package that will fit our needs and began filling out loan paperwork, and finalizing the details. This was on a Friday.

By Monday our loan had been approved, and we had an Engineer from Future Energy at our home, on our roof doing his inspections and making sure our roof would be able to handle the amount of panels we would need. He too was extremely friendly and went over everything with me in detail. I knew the placement of every panel before they were installed and if I had any problems he was eager to address them. He alerted me that I had one tall tree that was going to cast shade on a section of my roof, and because of that they would need to add an additional panel to my house (at no additional cost) in order to guarantee the 5KW power generation my plan required.

The next day (Tuesday) I received a call from Future Energy to schedule an appointment to have the panels installed. They had a crew to my door the very next day on Wednesday. Two men, 17 panels and 6 hours later they were complete. Every panel, every module, the inverter, the wiring. Everything completed and installed before 3pm. The crew were very professional, and only needed to come inside my house to gain access to my internet router. They had to run network cable from my power inverter to the router, running network cable through the attic and into my office. The team took great care into hiding any exposed wires and making sure everything could look as professional as possible. They even helped me by removing an unsightly Dish from my roof that was no longer in use! I was completely blown away!!

The entire process was handled by Future Energy Savers. They work with your utility company so you don't have to. They pull all the permits and handle all the inspections so you don't have to. They warranty their work and they monitor the panels. If there is ever an issue with my solar, the monitoring service alerts Future energy and Future energy sends a tech to repair it.

Every person I dealt with was an employee of Future Energy. No sub contractors or middle men. They have a team that really takes care of everything. Even two weeks after the installation I am still in contact with my salesman who has kept me up to date on PG&E's final steps. And have also been contacted by their customer service representative with instructions and paperwork to ensure I receive my 30% tax rebate. :)
Really, I couldn't be any happier with our decision to use Future Energy Savers! I suppose I have my cousin to thank for that.

Although we had a bit of a misunderstanding in the beginning, we were able to resolve the issue. In the end we were very happy with the final product. Once we were able to schedule the appointment, everything else up to the final installation went smoothly. The installer was knowledgeable and detailed at explaining the solar panel system. They did a very clean job and even helped with labeling our circuit breaker box. Just be patient and follow up with scheduling or if you have any questions regarding the loan agreement. They will work with you so that you're satisfied.
Update after one year we are very satisfied with the solar panels and it lowered our electrical bills about $200 to be precise!

We had several sale pitches, and quotes from other solar companies prior to talking with Future Energy Savers. We always ended up feeling mislead, or not quite getting what we were hoping for. That was until we finally found the right company.

It started with the in-home run down with James. He knew the process and product from top to bottom, beginning to end. We had about 1000 "what if" questions while he was at our home, and we had about 1000 more afterward calling him at the office. We asked so many question that we felt annoyed at ourselves! James handled it professionally every time. We finally felt like we were getting the correct product from the right company!

The install team was quick, efficient, and professional. We have a very tight and busy schedule, and they were able to accommodate our needs. The install took about a day and a half. Everything looks clean and professional. No eye sores, and I believe gives our home more curb appeal. There was one thing missing during inspection, but the problem was rectified within a day. I would recommend Future Energy Savers to a friend, and I would use them again for future projects.

We first met Future Energy Savers in 2023 at a local Tri-County Home & Garden Show in Sacramento and scheduled an in-home appointment with James about a week and a half later. From the start, James was incredibly thorough and transparent. He walked us through the company’s history, general solar education, technical details of the panels and batteries, and what customer support looks like after installation. The initial meeting lasted close to three hours, and at no point did we feel rushed or pressured.

Future Energy Savers was the third solar company we spoke with, and at the time, we wanted to move forward with them. Unfortunately, we had just purchased our home and our credit had taken a hit from the new mortgage, so we were not approved for financing. We were honest with James and let him know we would revisit solar in about a year.

About a year later, James followed up. At that time, my husband and I still weren’t quite ready, but he remained professional and respectful. In mid-2025, with PG&E bills becoming ridiculously high and the solar tax credit set to expire at the end of 2025, we were finally motivated to move forward. Since our initial meeting in 2023, I had also done a lot of independent research and felt very confident in the quality, design, and performance of the panels and storage batteries Future Energy Savers offers.

James came out again and tailored the meeting since we already had a strong understanding of solar. He provided an updated quote, answered our questions, and we decided to move forward.

Prior to installation, a technical site visit was completed to determine panel placement and system components on our roof and around the house. After this visit, it was determined that we would not be able to install the originally quoted 12 kW system due to roof limitations and panel orientation, and we were advised to downsize to a 7 kW system. This was disappointing news initially, but this is where Rob, the General Manager, really stood out.

Rob took the time to have an extended and thoughtful conversation with me about how to best address the downsizing. He patiently answered all of my questions and worked through different options with me until we found a solution that made sense. Ultimately, we increased our battery storage to help offset the reduced system size. In the end, we actually saved money on the total contract price and reached a resolution that felt fair and customer-focused. While the situation wasn’t ideal at first, I truly appreciated Rob’s patience, transparency, and willingness to find a solution that worked for us.

Once everything was finalized, installation was scheduled about a month and a half later. The installation itself took two days, and the crew was excellent—on time, professional, friendly, and very careful with our property. They answered questions throughout the process and clearly took pride in their work. Future Energy Savers handled all permitting with the city and coordinated system activation with PG&E. From installation to full activation, it took a little over a month, which felt reasonable given PG&E timelines.

Our system went fully live in August 2025, and we’ve been very happy with the decision to go solar. With rising energy costs, it’s reassuring to see monthly savings and feel more in control of our electrical usage.

Post-install support has been solid. We’ve had two service calls—both for the same PV link issue. While it took a few weeks for a technician to come out each time, the second visit stood out because Future Energy Savers immediately replaced the part instead of going back and forth troubleshooting. Since then, we’ve had no further issues.

Overall, we are very happy with Future Energy Savers—from the detailed and educational sales process, to consistent follow-up, a smooth installation, thoughtful problem-solving, and dependable post-install support.
