We are very happy with Future Energy Savers and highly recommend this company. Our Salesperson Mike was impressive and guided us through the process. Roof Inspection and Installation were quick. Employees are knowledgeable and professional. Our 5KW solar system is working great. We had no problems at all with City permit, inspection and sign off and PG&E went quickly and smoothly - just a few weeks wait. We are currently over producing for our 2200 SF home including charging our PHEV car. Couldn't be happier!

My wife and I contacted Future Solar first, knowing that they are locally owned and well known around Elk Grove. We were referred by a co-worker as well. We really appreciate the time Mitch took to explain the entire system and installation process, and appreciated how he catered the system to our budget and needs. They were able to schedule the install the next day after getting approval from SMUD. The installation was very fast, just a few hours, and looks very streamlined and professionally done. The system has been working great since, and has drastically reduced our energy costs. Highly recommend going solar with Future Energy!

We had a few solar companies come through the neighborhood to give estimates. We made an appointment and Dale was very informative on the history of Future Solar, how they operate, and how the panels work. I liked the fact that it’s a local company that’s been in operation for decades. By the end of our meeting my husband and I felt good about finally getting solar.
The whole process was quick and painless. There wasn’t much paperwork on our part. Dale helped fill out everything and explained it. Within a week they were putting the panels on the house. It took one day for installation. Then a few more days the inspection was complete and we’re generating energy. We can monitor it all from the app. My husband flew the drone to take pictures of the roof. The panels look very neatly placed. I’m excited to see our savings! -
When I first signed up for Solar I decided to cancel my plan with Sunpower and move forward with Future. I went this route because the team that helped me 100% guaranteed their professionalism, their service, and their equipment. Of course I always do research to the best I can and so I decided to put my trust in them. Not even more than 2 years in and the system has stopped twice already not generating anything for months. Now I usually check my application but what they guaranteed was that when such a situation occurs their team will be notified so we will never run into these issues and so it can be resolved asap. Almost 2 years later though and now they blame me for not constantly looking at the application and not catching this myself on time. When I state this has been the worst customer service on top of so much more I can go on about, IT IS! I will definitely NOT be adding more panels with them in the future because they do not represent FUTURE at all! I will also NOT be recommending them to anyone after the way they have failed me as a customer. One that that truly trusted them with their services. I feel so deceived and undervalued on a system I’ve been paying thousands for when it should have been saving me money. However, I can’t even receive any type of empathy nor reimbursement for the money I now have to pay PG&E for those months of no connection.

Future Energy is great! They're so easy to work with. Everyone I dealt with were polite and courteous. They make getting solar so fast and easy it doesn't make sense not to.
The guy who came and gave us our estimate was great he explained the process and how it works and won't leave until all of our questions were answered and we were happy. They then get your system designed to fit your needs and install it.
Future Energy takes care of all the permits you just have some simple paperwork to do. I was amazed how fast this happened. I had my estimate done on a Saturday and had solar panels installed by the following Thursday. I arrived home from work to check on the meter, after installation and low and behold the meter was running backwards. I've even checked the meter while drying clothes and the meter hardly changes.
If you ever thought about solar I highly recommend Future Energy. They'll make it happen and leave you with a smile. It's also nice to know that your solar system ads dollar for dollar value for your home. -
In a time where you have to fight to get services delivered, Future Energy Savers shines when it comes to solar systems. From the sales cycle to final delivery, this company makes everything easy. They take ownership of the entire process, do what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it, and deliver a quality product.
Future Energy Savers sales person Mike, gave an easy to understand presentation to explain the features and benefits associated with solar systems and the alternatives available. He was strait forward, presented the facts, and gave us time to make a decision that best fit our needs. No pressure, no sleight of hand, no fast talk. He answered our questions and made sure we were comfortable with our decision before signing the contract.
Once the contract was signed, Future Energy Savers took care of everything. The installation took place within two weeks and completed by their crew in less than four hours. The installation, which is neat, clean, and professional was inspected by the County a few days later, who commented on the quality of the work, signed off on it and approved it for operation.
The thing that impressed me the most was that Future Energy Savers did everything. I did not have to lift a finger. They did the work to get approval from my homeowner’s association, obtained the permits, ordered and installed the equipment, scheduled the County inspection, coordinated the hookup with PG&E, and provided the paperwork necessary to obtain the tax rebate. Their warranty is outstanding and the post installation follow-up has been great. I would recommend Future Energy Savers to anyone that may be interested in solar. -
Finally decided to go solar since the price for electricity keeps going up. The Future Energy team was great from start to finish. Dave was great explaining all the benefits to us and answered all questions we had during our consultation and set expectations . There were no up sale in the process. The installation crews were also very professional. Everything was nice and clean when they leave. They also explained to us how to use the app to monitor our system. Overall it was a great experience. Highly recommended.
-
We had a great experience. The sales experience was pleasant, no high-pressure tactics, and our salesperson was able to address our concerns. The installation was smooth, and we were able to see the savings on the app right away. We would highly recommend this company.

My husband and I recently purchased a Solar System from Future Energy Savers. Our experience started with Kevin one of their sales reps. He was outstanding, knowledgeable and well spoken. He was also very thorough in explaining the process to my husband and I and that's what helped in solidifying our decision to go with the company. The install went well and the final inspection went well also. We would definitely recommend future energy savers to any of our friends and family that are interested in adding solar to their homes. The thing we look most forward to is the money that we will save by adding solar to our home.

We did a new roof and Solar with Future Energy Savers. The roof was done with very high quality materials and the finish work was impressive. The folks installing our solar system with a battery did a great job. Our system is generating more power than we are using. We really enjoy the app that allows us to see how our system is performing at anytime. We are happy with our investment into solar and with Future Energy Savers.
-
Future Energy Savers did the best job on our roof and our solar! They were so efficient and extremely prompt. I couldn't believe how fast the job was done, everything happened right how they said it would and it looks awesome! We love the app and being able to see just how much energy we are producing and consuming. The difference in our energy bill is unbelievable, last month our bill was $35!! And the EV charger is so cool!! We are also looking forward to adding the battery backup next year. Thank you Future Energy Savers!!

We could not be happier with the company and the entire process of installing solar panels in our home. A fair number of companies visited our West Sacramento home but we chose Future Energy Savers for their expertise and professionalism. Our sales representative, Dale Groat, was so thorough, knowledgable, and great to work with. The installation itself was done in about 5 hours and the service transfer to solar has been seamless. Ours was a very positive experience and we will not hesitate to recommend others to Future Energy Savers!

We dealt with Future Energy Savers for our solar install and they were fantastic to deal with. From conception to install to follow up they were easy and great to deal with. Our salesman was friendly and not pushy at all. He went over all the benefits and answered every question we had and never tried to oversell us on a system that we didn't need. He was very knowledgeable on the system and told us exactly what to expect. We loved dealing with them and they over delivered on exactly what they promised that they would. Installation was simple and we had solar installed and working in only 4 weeks from signing the contract. We loved dealing with them and would recommend them to anyone wanting to obtain solar.

My experience with Future Energy Savers was positive. Dale came for the initial consultation, he was very informative and I could tell that he liked what he does. He spent a lot of time answering my questions and was honest when I asked him about other companies. The installation went well. The guys installing the system were very knowledgeable and didn’t mind taking time to explain each step they were doing and why it had to be done that way. The company handled all the paperwork very efficiently. Every time I called the office, I was treated like I was a very important person and they bent over backwards to connect me with the right person to answer any questions that I had. Overall, I was very pleased with the system I purchased. Did I pay more than if I had gone with another company? Probably not, but I like the fact that they are family- owned company that has been doing solar for long time, uses American made solar panels and doesn’t use subcontractors for their work, including the roof work. Those factors were very important to me.
We got the ball rolling really fast, solar panels were installed very quickly. The system was working the same day. This was super exciting moment for us. So, literally our system was installed and our house hold running on solar power in 16 days.
Afterward the City and P&GE had to do their inspections (of course they aren’t as fast) but we had everything complete and our final meeting with Future energy within 3 weeks
We have a monitoring system to see our production and consumption, which we can compare to PGE online so it’s great, we feel in control and can avoid any surprises!!!
The final meeting was with Cody, who continued to provide excellent service and documentation of their install for future reference.
I recommend this Future Energy Savers!!!!! -
We had considered solar a few years ago and decided against it. After seeing how much our rates went up each year and living through a couple of power outages we rethought our position. We sought recommendations from neighbors and after getting several bids we chose to go with Future Energy Savers. They were not the least expensive but offered what our research had suggested was the best equipment. We contracted for solar panels as well as a battery. Everyone – the sales rep, the project manager, the installers and the office people - were all easy to work with and completed the job in one day. It took a while to get the approvals from the city and PG&E but that was mostly out of Future Energy Savers’ control. We have an app on our phones that allows us to monitor the system 24/7. It is fun to see how the panels run our whole house during the day and the battery is running the house most, if not all, of the night. We’ve had the system for 3 months and although we have yet to see our first electric bill, we know we have been sending excess power to the grid. I would recommend that you consider this locally owned company when you consider solar for your home.

We are very happy with our solar energy system. The service from Future Energy Savers has been great, from the initial estimates to the installation and the customer support throughout. They have been helpful and responsive about answering all our questions. The installation was fast, within 6 hours the system was operational and the technicians left no mess. From this experience, we’ve learned so much more about our energy consumption. Looking forward to seeing more savings from our energy bills going forward.

after several years of hemming and hawing, my husband and i finally pulled the trigger on solar! we were nervous, as you often hear those stories about solar companies dropping the ball, but we had a great experience from beginning to end. i researched the company, they’re family owned and have been in business a very long time. the rep that came out was friendly, not pushy, and really knew her stuff. this was our 5th bid and each time we never felt quite right about it. after discussing it for a few days we decided it was the right move to go with Future, and we couldn’t be happier. they installed quickly, had a courteous installer crew, and we are monitoring our system weekly and so far so good! the rep mentioned they are mostly referal driven for new business, and they will be getting some from us. thanks guys!

I will start that when it works it works well. Sale was fast easy. $42,000 no financing. Installed 3 yrs almost to the day. Install was a bit of a problem. The back up battery could not be installed where we initially we told it would be. Then when it was moved to drive where new laws say you need a Ballard to block and protect batteries. Install done. Big yellow ballard sticking out in my driveway. So then we had extra wires because of location change they rolled them up and secured them to the wall. Positive they paint everything to mach stucco. I had to call them back have them shortened wire up and make it look cleaner. First winter comes and my roof starts to leak. Positive they come out after about a week and repair roof. Problem is my ceiling drywall was damaged as well and they don't do those repairs any longer so they tell us to have it repaired and they will reimburse us. Family of 6 kids single income and no extra time that being said ceiling is still not repaired. Summer comes it will be our First Full year to see the Savings we were so eager to see. A section of panels stop working. We were told that they monitor or some sort of a report is sent if panels are not functional. This is false. We monitor the power panels through the app regularly so call after 3 days of noticing less power production from panels. We were told it would be 3weeks because someone can come out. They found a defective transfer switch or something between panels. Parts on back order. They say 1month. Month goes by we hear nothing for Future Energy. I call and they tell me part came in in all honesty and was I stalled on another location. They forgot who it was ordered for. Another month, Positive panels repaired. The peak of summer is now over. Leads me to this Year. Our 3rd summer and what happens our panels work but now we have an issue with the inverter for the back up battery. So we don't store power or use power from they back up battery system. Call company to inform them because they are unaware and obviously don't monitor or get notifications of issues. They tell me once again that they are at least 3 weeks out to even send someone to investigate. Another year where we may never see the potential of a full year of
a 100% fully functional system. I would NOT recommend purchasing solar at Future Energy . Don't let the star ratings fool you. I did as much research as I could but was fooled by there history the company has been going in the wrong direction. Not sure if this post had anything to do with it but they found thier way to my home and found a common problem that has an easy fix. Done. Instead of being 1 month without we ended up only 1 week. -
Solar Installation Review
We had been looking to go solar for a while and noticed that our neighbor had a new solar system. So we ask them questions about the installation. During the discussion our neighbor mentioned that Future Energy Savers was the company that installed their system. So we decided to call Future Energy Savers and scheduled a meeting for the next day. We had a very informative meeting with Mike Wright discussing our energy use and needs, as well as our options for going solar. Mike was very thorough and answered all our questions.
After we decided on installation, we didn't wait long for the work to start. The workers were very professional, friendly and finished the installation sooner than we expected.
During the city inspections, every thing went well as the Future Energy Savers representative was prepared for the meeting.
Overall, from the beginning, we were given a very detailed description of the full process and what to expect. They provided timelines for the initial inspection, installation start date and approximate date for completion. They also set up the city inspection and let us know approximately how long it would take for the city to grant a permit.
In conclusion, we were pleased with the customer care, quickness, work, and overall service. Our system is up and running. All inspections passed, and we are enjoying our solar system.
Along with the great service and an outstanding solar system, we find that Future Energy Savers was the best company for our solar installation. -
We purchased an electric car and decided it was time to get solar installed. After doing our research and speaking with our neighbors, we decided to go with Future Energy. They are a local reputable business, and worked with us every step of the way. Our sales rep Briana did an excellent job of explaining how PG&E works, how the installation process works, and what the costs were. We could have gone with a lower price setup, but we knew we were paying for peace of mind and quality panels, and we were okay with that. After signing the paperwork, our panels were installed within two weeks. They even installed a level 2 charger for the car at the same time at a reasonable price. About a month after the install, during the first week of quarantine, a circuit breaker stopped working. During all of the uncertainty of that time, they took the time to replace it the next day after I called. We chose Future Energy because our neighbors highly recommended them for their excellent customer service and they certainly came through. I can say with a big purchase like this, we chose quality and customer service over cost and have no regrets. We now have lower PG&E bills and couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend Future Energy.

Before you buy from this company, YouTube solar sales tactics. This company uses them all. I already knew about them but in the moment, they almost got me! I said thanks for the information and I’ll get back to you. I received 3 other quotes and saw Future Energy was over charging me for a much smaller system. We ended up going with a better larger system for less money.
Here are the tactics they used:
Ambassador program Model Home Discount to showcase your home to others. This is a lie, there is no discount. There were calls and texts to the manager to see if we qualify. It was almost funny to watch.
You need to sign the contract now while I’m here; we only do things on paper. No electronic contracts. Lie. Nearly all companies do electronic contracts.
I need your deposit now and we only take credit card payments in-person. I said no. The reply, well I will leave you with this piece of paper to write your credit card number down and email it to us with the signed contract.
You can only back up some things in the house, not the whole house. Lie. The equipment they are pushing has that limitation. Other equipment can back up the whole house.
We need to charge you more because we are a sustainable business. Our competitors are charging less and are going out of business. Lie.
I tried to give them another chance via text to requote me and they said that’s their final price and to be careful with other vendors.
Solar and battery is a good thing. Unfortunately companies with these tactics make it less desirable. Most would rather stick with the devil they know (electricity company) vs the new one - solar companies and sales people.
Good luck out there.
PS. The sales person was genuinely a nice person so I’m not including her name or anything negative about her. It’s how the hustle works so I’m not mad at her.
