What a fantastic job! I contacted C & L Construction for a bathroom remodeling project. Their expertise, work quality, reliability, and customer service were stellar. They took care of every detail starting with the demolition of the old space and then putting up the new drywall, installing a new electrical system, plumbing, tiles, fixtures, lighting, skylight and scheduling inspections. The crew was very professional with great skills and kept the workspace clean and safe for us at all time. The bathroom looks gorgeous and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Eli and Oren are an amazing team, great professionals, very creative, and above all wonderful people. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering remodeling their home.

Once the old flooring was removed they found a subfloor issue that needed immediate attention. They handled the repair quickly and fairly without slowing down the rest of the installation. We are so grateful they caught it before the new hardwood went down.

We are a group of investors that develop single family properties, this is the second time we have worked with C&L, and the third project will be coming soon, as we are very happy with the results. This approximately 5,200 sf, extremely custom, high-end two-story home was constructed VERY FAST (10 months from demolition to Certificate of Occupancy). The contractor was very professional, they have great office staff, the whole job was very organized: there was not a SINGLE week day that they didn’t have a full crew working. Eli stays engaged throughout, keeping things moving forward as quickly as possible. We had hardwood floors, custom tilework, custom cabinetry, lots of built-ins, very high-end finishes, solar, low voltage systems: C&L had people who could handle it all. From Architect to Engineer, designer and staging, and particularly handling the new COVID protocols that commenced two weeks after demolition was complete, 5145 Collett Avenue was in excellent hands: we recommend C&L Construction without reservation.

They did a great job of keeping the original tooth molding while replacing the rotting wood underneath. Historic repair needs a soft touch. Builders who still know how to use traditional carpentry and lime mortar are hard to find.

Unique solutions for our outdated fireplace transformed the entire look of our family room. They suggested a modern thin brick veneer and a custom floating mantel that looks incredible. It has become our favorite place to gather during the winter months.

Beautiful custom woodwork was the highlight of our home renovation project. They built a custom staircase with mahogany railings that is a true centerpiece in our entryway. The sanding and finishing work is as smooth as glass.

Punctuality and cleanliness were two things that really set this crew apart from others we have hired. They arrived at seven am sharp and spent the last twenty minutes of every shift ensuring the workspace was spotless. It made living through a remodel much more bearable.

You won't believe how good of a choice it was to hire these group to complete our basement. A once-dark and damp room is now a lovely family room with an en suite bathroom that they completely renovated. Their meticulous effort ensured that every inspection was passed without a hitch.

Our family has had a lot more fun cooking and having guests over since we updated our kitchen. They put in high-end appliances and unique lighting that really make the area come alive. The plumbing and electrical work are also great.

The plan for our new patio came from both of us. It has a fire pit and a stone wall that looks great. Working materials they used are of good quality and match the outside of our house well. Result is very strong and meets or goes beyond all safety standards.

I finally redid my dingy old LA style bathroom. I’m so glad we picked this company. I really wanted something simple but more updated. I Changed the old bathtub next to the shower into a walk in shower got rid of the turquoise tile (eww). Every part of the remodel was perfect, down to the smallest of details.

I had a disappointing experience with MC Construction, despite their great design ideas and a solid 3D rendering. After the initial enthusiasm, things quickly went downhill. I learned the hard way about the importance of having a clear payment schedule in the contract, as they tried to collect payments multiple times before tasks were completed.

The project, which they "assured" would take one month, but contract stated three months, stretched to four months due to their inefficiency and poor management--there were no permit or weather delays. Workers rarely showed up as promised, and when they needed payment, a full crew suddenly appeared.

I also faced issues with materials not matching what was in the contract. For example, they tried to charge me excessively for gravel and made it difficult to cancel a change order when I realized the price was inflated. The worst part was when we received a non-insulated patio cover instead of the insulated one we ordered, and the project manager attempted to downplay the situation and urged us to keep the incorrect product without adjusting the price.

Throughout the project, there were numerous lies and miscommunications. I was promised specific brands for materials but received substitutes without proper justification. Despite their claims of not subcontracting work, different crews showed up wearing various company shirts. After the patio incident, we wanted a receipt for the paint to make sure Dunn Edwards was to be used. The receipt shows a different company who purchased the paint, LAC Painting Inc. Also, our LA County permit shows a different electrician's company who replaced our electrical panel.

At the end of the project, I asked for a discount due to the delays and stress, but they tried to bribe me with a monetary offer in exchange for not reviewing them. In the end, while the finished product looked nice, the overall experience was frustrating and stressful. Due to this, I rate them two stars. I would advise others to be extremely detailed in the contract's scope of work and consider hiring specialized contractors in each task instead. If they truly do not subcontract work then ask them to remove the mechanic's lien portion of the contract and state that none of the work will be subcontracted in writing in the contract.

It's hard to believe that simply replacing a bathroom vanity could be so transformative, but for someone in a wheelchair like myself, it's a game changer. My current home in Encino has an exceptionally tight bathroom. The oversized vanity made it nearly impossible for me to maneuver in my chair. That's when I reached out to MC Construction & Design for a quote, and their response was nothing short of outstanding. One of their technicians proposed an ingenious design idea to swap out the bulky vanity with a sleek, wall-mounted sink. This would not only provide easier access to the space but also leave enough room for my knees, enabling me to pull my wheelchair right up to the sink. Their team was incredibly skilled and speedy, completing the installation swiftly. I hadn't been able to pull up to a sink without struggling in over five years. This new sink has significantly improved my everyday life. I am truly grateful to MC Construction & Design for their exceptional service, expert knowledge in home remodeling, and their kind-heartedness. It feels like they've become part of the family!

This company gets it done! Working with Giuseppe and Tommy on my backyard has been a blessing. They were very detailed with the design, and everything came out beautifully with my new pavers, wooden patio cover, pool, jacuzzi and vinyl fence. I would say it took about 6 weeks from start to completion but the guys showed up almost every single day and there was no delays. Will recommend to friends.
